 + -1 moreDriveway contractor arranged for sealing by Collegiate. They were highly professional, careful in their work, and thorough. Unfortunately, weather report did not predict the rain which arrived a few hours after sealing, which was followed shortly thereafter by a posse of rather large raccoons, who tracked the sealer across much of my flagstone walks. Without hesitation, Collegiate offered to powerwash the walk at their expense, and a week later, as promised, showed up and removed all signs of the errant raccoons! While it is hard to know how the water-down sealing job will fare, I do highly recommend this company if for no other reason than they did what they said they would.

 + -1 moreCollegiate did an excellent job in resealing our driveway and their customer service was outstanding. We have a somewhat steep grade for our long driveway and needed to get it resealed for the upcoming winter. We did have some minor communications issues as we had originally asked to have sand mixed in with the sealant for better traction, but that information did not make it to the folks actually doing the work. Not to worry though as I called up Collegiate and without any questions had somebody out in the next couple of days to apply the sealant again with sand. No snow yet, but we have had good traction on the wet asphalt. Thank you very much for your customer service and we will be a return customer!
Description of Work: Collegiate was asked to reseal the driveway and conduct minor repairs to some of the asphalt.

 + -1 moreI'm very pleased with the whole process and service. I was recommended to them by a neighbor. I emailed to get an estimate and got a quick response. I emailed again the next day with my preferred date and was quickly scheduled and sent a confirmation email. They provided detailed instructions on how the service would be performed. I was not home when they sealed the driveway, but it looks great. I am writing this review on the day after the service. Consistent with some previous reviews, a small amount sealer was wiped on the grass to clean shoes or squeegees (or something), but it wasn't thick, obvious from afar or really a problem for me. I will contact them again for future sealer applications.

 + -1 moreCalled on a Wednesday to get my driveway sealed. They were able to come out the next day. Left them a check at the front door and when i returned home in the afternoon the work was done. The driveway looks great and they even roped of the entry. This is the second time I've used this company and have been very happy with there work.

 + -1 moreThey came out, and they gave an estimate. They were on time when they said they would. They got the job done and I had a couple of little things that they had to be careful not to do that, so they were very accommodating that way. They worked around some brick work I had near the driveways. They were just professional. I think I got a good price, and they cleaned up and said they will be back in a year to do a free ceiling.
Description of Work: I used Collegiate Sealers & Paving for driveway work. They completely did my drive way; put down the foundation, resurfaced and redid the whole thing.

 + -1 moreI contacted their office in the fall (more winter I think) which I found out later is not the best time to get your driveway sealed. The employee answering the phone suggested I wait unitl early spring and that she would call me to schedule it then. I appreciate the fact that they could have just took my money and did the job near winter when I would have not gotten the best results. And come March they called me just like they promised. I was also impressed that there was no change in price several months later from when I first called. I was also very impressed that when asked about payment because I would not be home when they performed the job, the very nice lady on the phone said they would leave the bill and I could mail in the payment. I feel these are very honest people and will definitely use them again.

 + -1 moreVery friendly when making the appointment; provided instructions about moving vehicles etc. Provided the services the day they said they would, drive way looks great. I only wish that they had filled in a few of the smaller cracks vice just using the sealing. The bigger cracks were filled and looked great. Would use again.

 + -1 moreWhen I called and got an estimate, it was about $30 more the the other company I called. When I told them this, they matched the other estimate and knocked an extra $5 off. They arrived on the day scheduled and within the 3 hour window they provided. The quality overall was 'fair' it looked a bit rushed and they actually missed a pretty good size swath at one edge, but overall I'm pleased.

 + -1 moreCollegiate Sealers made the experience as easy as possible. They told me I did not need to be at home and could simply leave them a check for the work. As I have used them before I had no problem doing this. Although they did not provide a specific time of arrival, they showed up on the day they promised and the work was done in a professional manner. The only small complaint I would make is that they apparently cleaned their equipment on the grass next to my mailbox. They note on the contract this is "unavoidable", and that the grass will grow out in a few days. In truth, this is not a big problem, but worth considering if you are planning an event within about a week of having the coating applied. I would recommend them and would use them again with no hesitation.

Description of Work: I would never recommed this Contractor. They are one of the most frustrating Contractors I have ever tried to do business with. Very simply I was trying to get an Estimator to come to my property and provide a proposal for a circular driveway. After repeated calls to schedule the meeting I was rudely told to go wait for the Estimator to call me and he will call when gets around to looking at his schedule.The manager at Collegiate in Chatilly (Tom) told me that he could not give me any estimate as to when the estimator MIGHT find time to do me a favor and call me. Not today, not tommorow, not next week but whenever he finds time to call. Really? Are you kidding me? What a way to run a business! I can only imagine the answer I would get once they did come on site. In this day and age where Service matters this is NOT the company you want to do business with. Service and Customer Satisfaction DO NOT MATTER to this Company. Do not be fooled.

 + -1 moreI contacted the company via e-mail and they gave me an estimate. We scheduled via e-mail. I called to see how weather might impact the work and the person was friendly and professional. They did not ring the door bell as stated in their procedure. We were home and watched them do the work, they took the check and left without interacting with us in any way. Overall we are pleased with the work. However, it was a bit sloppy and rushed. We cleaned up a few spots ourselves, but the sealant got onto the sidewalk and we didn't get it off.

 + -1 moreI had a problem after they did the initial replacement. I called and they sent someone out. They said they used the wrong grade of asphalt. They came in and ripped everything out and put it back in at no cost. They fixed the problem so I was quite happy with them. They did admit to the installation error and fixed it.

 + -1 moreThe person answering the phone took our information and said that someone would call us back to set up an appontment. A week later, not a single return phone call. The other companies we called have returned our calls and set up appointments but Collegiate doesn't even appear to be interested in the work. I did attempt to call them back during their business hours, but the answering service answered and said the office was closed.
