He listens, takes the customer’s concept and improves it to better fit and make more functional, practical and beautiful. His pricing is fair, he’s incredibly responsive to our many questions and his team is friendly and hard-working. We could not be happier with the process, price, quality or result!

Well planned and well built. They are very busy so we did have to wait a month for project to start. Well worth the wait! Very professionally done on our patio.

I am very happy that I chose C. Dod Landscaping to do my front walk and patio. The choice of materials (pavers) not only saved me money on the projects, but they also turned out to be beautiful. Mr. Dod was great compared to the other options. He spent the most time thinking about the best way to design our driveway/walkway/stoop whereas the other companies just looked around and threw numbers at us without any design input. In the end the project was completed ahead of schedule and we were really happy with the work.

I hired Jonathan and his team to install a paver driveway. They did an amazing job, I could not be happier. The price quoted was very good and they even correct some hardscape work a previous contractor messed up at no additional charge. The final project turned out great! We will definitely use them again for additional landscape work we have planned.

Flexibilitiy

They showed great flexibility with regard to payment, they stuck to the plan as agreed, there were absolutely no surprises, they did a fantastic job and we love the final product. You can't ask anything more of a contractor. I would definitely hire them again.

Chuck came up with just the design we wanted for our back yard patio and sod project. Fair off-season price, solid job. Easy to work with. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that one or two of his guys seemed to do a shoddy job on seeding part of our lawn (I saw him do it and said something to him), but Chuck had them return a few weeks later when nothing was coming up, so it ended up fine.

We had to replace our crumbling retaining wall and patio and had been searching for a reliable and experienced service - the lot is steep and the construction site is difficult to access, and of course the old wall had to be demolished and piles and piles of material had to be removed first. Upon researching (and we knew what we were doing and what to look for because of our bad experience with the first wall which taught us a lot), we signed a contract with C. Dod Landscaping - it was the right decision, and if we do something like this again (or any similar project) we would go without any hesitation again with Chuck and his company. Same way, based on our experience and the job done, we highly recommend C. Dod Landscaping to anybody looking for the job done. Here is why: 1. Expertise in building retaining walls, patios and any sorts of hardscape projects. I also want to add that Chuck is a good designer always offering good ideas and designs tailored to a particular situation. He has a very extensive portfolio of projects completed covering a huge variety of solutions. 2. Very competitive costs. This comes from several approaches Chuck uses in his projects - a) good knowledge of the market, b) an effective and efficient design and use of materials where the cost of the project is an important consideration, c) customer oriented approach (see below) and d) good knowledge of available technologies and techniques to do what he does to keep costs lower while delivering quality solutions without compromising on various aspects of the construction. 3. Customer service - in Chuck's world this is the most important thing. He does what customer wants but at the same time he would not hesitate (and it happened) to give you his expert opinion about what he thinks is good or bad for the customer. In his crew there is always an experienced team leader that supervises all daily operations and makes decisions on many minor details. In our case, such person followed the same customer oriented approach fostered by the company ready to communicate, explain and address various details and concerns when we had them. We also had Chuck's cell phone number and on a number of occasions used it (also sending texts with photos if necessary). In most such cases Chuck was available immediately or, if not, was getting back to us quickly. When necessary Chuck was coming promptly to discuss in more details when the supervisor didn't have an authority to make a decision. Finally, I want to add that Chuck does extra things to make sure the construction and its structural elements are solid and withstand the tests of time and elements - his five-year guarantee is a standard in his contracts. We are really impressed with C. Dod Landscaping and Chuck's team and what they did for us (and we are not associated with Chuck in any way - Homeadvisor.com is the place where we learned about his company earlier this year).

They pay attention to detail.

Our experience with this team was exceptional. Chuck came out and devleloped an amazing Patton and fire pit. His team did a great job and cleaned up after them selves. My only issue was communication. In at least two instances they didn't contact me to let me know that they would be out to work or not. Additionally, I wish that Chuck would have came out and checked on this team on occasion. I was not aware if a leader was checking on the progress of the team. Overall great experience and I would highly recommend them and already have to our friends.

Chuck came up with a beautiful design for my front yard with curved /circular cobblestones and landscaping. All my neighbors have complemented the new look. Great customer service...very courteous and professional!
