American Powerclean

I have previously used American Powerclean and have always found that they do good quality work at a reasonable price. This year I took advantage of an Angie's List Big Deal for the washing of our siding. When I contacted American Powerclean to schedule the work I indicated I was also interested in having our deck cleaned and resealed. They obliged with a written estimate left at our front door within a day or two. I was pleased to see that the cost of cleaning and resealing the deck was lower than the last time we had that work done, 2 years ago, because the indicated that stripping would not be required this time. I was surprised that they resealed the deck this time just 1 day after a rain storm, so I called to ask why they had not waited longer to let the deck dry out. I was told that the rain had not been substantial and the deck was dry when it was treated. Nonetheless, they indicated that if water did not bead on the deck surface the next time it rained I should call them back---so they could reseal it again. (They had done this for me 2 years ago, when it rained the day after they resealed the deck, so I knew they meant it.) Fortunately, the sealer dried properly and water beaded when it next rained. So no re-treatment was necessary. Again, I am very happy with the quality and cost of the work American Powerclean did.

Mike was very responsive to phone calls and questions. He showed up on schedule, his crews showed up when scheduled and my deck looks great! Very satisfied.

I had the same great service as I did 2 years ago. Mike Corbett and his team are consistently thorough at power washing and stained my deck without spills or leaving any mess. The deck looks great and I could not be more happy!

Mike Corbett was awesome! I wish all my house projects were this easy to have done and to such an exceptional level of quality. He was friendly, courteous, and was able to complete the work (powerwashing deck, trelllis and fence, then staining and sealing deck) per our agreement - quickly and cleanly. Everything went smoothly. The quality of the product (wood) they used was excellent. The crew arrived on time and were very knowledgeable and professional. Mike Corbett, the owner, came by in the morning before the work began but he left the job in the hands of his very capable crew chief who worked along side and supervised the other workers. When they were done they did a super job of cleaning up and hauling away the debris. Upon fully inspecting the work a week or so after, I found a couple things that needed to be corrected. I contacted Mike and within a couple days he had the items taken care of to my complete satisfaction. The price was significantly less than three other quotes I had received. For that reason, I was a bit concerned about how good a job it would be but I couldn't be more satisfied with the finished product.

They worked quickly and the price was good. We'll use their services again in the spring.

We had him before and he is excellent. He also does power washing, but we have not needed that. He does a really good job; that is why we have called him back a couple of times. We have been very pleased. His customer service is very good.

Mike Corbet came over for the estimate and gave me what I considered a good price for one coat of Behr Waterproofing Solid Color, plus replacing four boards on multi-tiered deck. He talked me out of using Behr DeckOver, which another contractor had recommended. It didn?t take much to talk me out of it because, in the meantime, I?d found some reviews from people really, really unhappy with the product. He brought a Behr paint chip brochure and told me which colors worked for other people and which didn?t looked good when applied. A friend kept encouraging me to get a light color because of the consequence of having three bird feeders. I ended up trying six different sample can and went with a medium color, Woodbridge, which looks somewhat like redwood. I?m delighted with the color which works beautifully with the contain plants on the deck. Despite periodic rain and his busy schedule, the job was finally scheduled and done promptly and well. A pair of workers came one day to move deck furniture and container plants and pressure wash the siding facing the deck. A larger team came on the scheduled day and worked together ? very well --get the carpentry done, paint the three decks, Chippendale railings, and lattice beneath the deck. The extra work I requested --14 boards replaced instead of 4-- bumped the price up $350. But It was a great investment in a deck I now love even more than I did when before. American PowerClean will be the first I call when it needs repainting.

I found American Powerwash on Angies as a top-rated service provider in my area. I sent a message through Angies List late one evening and asked for a quote. They responded that night with the quote for $300. We arranged for them to come the next day. I was not able to be home but Mike said they would do the work and leave me the invoice. If I wasn't completely satisfied to let him know. The work they did was fantastic, the house looks great and the price was right. Extra kudos for the responsiveness and for how quickly they could do it. Really satisfied with American Powerclean and highly recommend them.

It went very well. Mr. Corbett came up with a reasonable, cost-effective solution for my deck and also steered me to a color that I really like. His crew arrived promptly and worked non-stop until done. They were very organized and thorough. They power-washed about a week before the 08/04 staining. The end result of all their work was beyond my expectations.

Mike and his team did a very good job. All the deck surfaces, including the face board and pillars were cleaned well and the paint and stain were done neatly. I had contacted Mike later half of June and needed to get the job done by end of July (HOA deadline). I felt his quote was very reasonable and scheduled the work with him. Due to the number of jobs he had on his schedule and a few bad weather days, the job wasn't done until close to the end of July, a little later than originally anticipated, but was within the deadline. Other than having a couple challenges getting hold of Mike, my experience with American Powerclean was excellent.

They company did a great job. We got a reasonable quote and Mike was easy to work with. When they accidentally power washed more than they were supposed to, the team promptly came back and stained that area free of charge. We would definitely use them again.

Mike Corbett, owner was great to communicate with. The work was excellent. They got into every nook and cranny. Mike knows his stains and what will work best. He recommended I use a solid stain for the first time, because prior stains were inconsistent. It looks great and he was right. His crew showed up when he said they would, and I didn't have to be home. The price was about 20% less than another quote from Angie's List. When I did my research, so many deck specialists have spotty reviews. American Powerclean has almost all A ratings. I concur.

Mike Corbett at American Powerclean did a really good job at a reasonable price. Any problems I had were quickly cleared up without any fuss. Given I had to have him perform my entire deck cleaning and staining to my specifications without me being present, I was very happy with his work. That being said, his communication left a lot to be desired. While he was responsive, I felt as though I had to continually repeat my requests and questions or explain them in great detail. Despite providing photoshopped pictures, I still had to follow up with e-mails or phone calls to explain further. At times I felt very frustrated, as I didn't believe my questions or directions were complicated, especially when I provided pictures showing what I wanted done and repeated my directions several times. That being said, I know it is difficult to work with someone without having actually met them, so I thought he did a great job at a great price, and I would use him again (although next time I will meet him in person). I would recommend his work to any of my neighbors.

We have hired them on two occasions now. We initially hired American Powerclean after finding them Angie’s List. Mike, the owner, comes back and forth to check on the work to ensure that it is being completed properly. From what I recall, Mike said that his crew has been with him for twenty-five years. The job took about three days to complete. A couple of my sills and trim wood were rotted and he replaced them with PVC wood before completing the painting. They were able to complete the painting on the shutters while still attached and didn’t get any paint on the siding of the house. We are very happy with the work that they did and will be hiring them again.

It went great! I contacted the owner, Mike Corbett, who quickly came over to assess what I needed; he advised that the dirt and debris on my siding would be easily removed by power washing. He also advised that my deck needed to be cleaned by power washing, and that I would need a solid color deck stain to cover the washed out areas of my deck. Mike's employee came out a couple of weeks later, and did a great job power washing my siding and deck. He indicated he had worked for Mike Corbett for over 25 years - - he was very professional and knew his job well. Then a few days later (the deck had to be completely dry, and we had several days of rain) three employees came out and painted my deck, railings, and steps with a good product (Behr Waterproofing Stain). They worked very quickly, and did a great job. Mike was right about needing a solid color for the deck; it looks great, and I get a lot of compliments from friends and neighbors.

I called the company to schedule getting a quote. Mr. Corbett was there the next day. The price was reasonable and I accepted the proposal and scheduled the work. The decks and dock were powerwashed on June 9. It had been 10 years since any work had been done. Just cleaning made them look better. Because of our rains, the decks and dock did not get stained until this weekend. Outstanding job!

They first washed the wrong deck. It ended all working out fine. The owner ended up coming out and realizing that they didn't wash our deck. They took a little bit longer but we got things worked out. There were a few issues but the things worked out good in the end. The deck was cleaned nice. Everything went well but it was a little bit longer process than we had planned. It was very strange because they were supposed to come one day and they called and said that they had done it. We got a call from another gentleman that they had done it completely different address like miles away from us that left our bill with our name and address at the other house. That was odd. The owner of the company ended up coming out and talking to us. They made it all right so they definitely stand behind what they say. It was a sort of crazy mix-up. We had contracted it. It was suppose to be $575 and he ended up only charging us $500 because of the issues that we had. He was very apologetic and he made it right so that was good. I think it was just a mix-up and they stood behind it so I can't really complain. When they came, they did a great job.
