The crew did a great job all around. The crew showed up / left as scheduled and all work was performed within an agreed amount of time. Phillip was easy to work with and was honest / responsive throughout. I would definitetly use them again.

Picking a Power Washing company is not as easy as it seams. Almost all the companies have a score of "A". So Not only did I read some reviews, but I read the companies Bio or Mission Statement. American Powerclean stood out to me because they addressed their experience with Trex Deck, which is what I have. Philip Guthrie, the owner was very easy to talk to over the phone. I told him what kind of deck I had and that I had a vinyl trellis that as part of the deck needed cleaning. He did no need to come to my house to measure my deck. He used Satellite pictures to obtain my deck size and proved and estimate. I received his estimate with in a day. WE set a day for the effort and he told me the technician would be there late morning. I received a call from the technician that he was on his way on that morning. I appreciate the call ahead. The young man was quite but professional. He wore wader paints and he got to it. He did a great job. I was very pleased with the results. I would use American Powerclean again.

The new owner, Philip Guthrie, was very professional. Came out promptly and gave me a detailed quote. He was easy to work with. The power washing was excellent. On the deck several boards were replaced and the lattices under the deck were repaired or replaced. The strainers and painters did an excellent job and were very careful. I would recommend this company to anyone and would hire them again.

The service was performed very well. The summer deluge slightly delayed the schedule, but that was unavoidable due to needing dryness to paint. Compared to all other vendors, this company's price was very good and fair. The vendor was very knowledgeable of what paint type to recommend, which was in line with other recommendations. Also, vendor did not try to oversell. My impression was they only recommended what they felt needed fixing (i.e. deck railing). They assessed the floorboards and found they didn't need fixing. Work was done quick and well. Whenever I had questions, they were answered promptly. All interactions and work was done professionally and with courtesy. I would highly recommend them to perform your pressure cleaning or deck painting/sealing services!

Outstanding experience with American Powerclean Inc. and Mike Corbett. I contacted American Powerclean based on reputation, reviews, services offered and Angie's List. One of three companies I reviewed. Their office staff was professional and responsive. The sales representative, Mike Corbett, was very knowledgeable, attentive and responsive - and he was empowered to make decisions. Our deck required work due to a poor job done by another vendor last year where incompatible stains were mixed resulting in peeling and excessive weathering over the past 12 months. I told Mike what I wanted based on past experience. He then very tactfully and effectively explained what I really needed based on the condition of the deck finish at the time. He also helped us select a color for our particular deck that turned out a whole lot better than what I'd picked by myself. I acted on his recommendations and was exceptionally pleased with the process and result. The work entailed cleaning the deck, replacing several boards and staining the structure with an opaque product. Mike discussed price and threw in a power wash for a long brick walkway, a large brick front porch and smaller brick side porch for the negotiated price. Even though the excessive rain extended the process long enough to require a second cleaning for a portion of the deck, American Powerclean included the extra work in the negotiated price. Regarding execution, the company's personnel showed up on time, were courteous and extremely professional. The work has only been complete for a couple of weeks but the initial results have exceeded our expectations and we will keep this company on our "Go to" list for the future. I can unequivocally recommend American Powerclean and further - it is experiences like the one we have had with this company and Mike Corbett that make our investment in Angie's List worthwhile.

I thought pretty well but... Background...screwed up my deck by applying too much stain. Turned almost black from mildew. I tried cleaning it with bleach, (got 2/3 done and gave up) which worked but removed some of the stain leaving the deck blotchy. So 2/3 pretty clean and 1/3 dark because nothing done to it. Decided that it needed to be stripped and re-stained. Mike came out and looked at it, said they would strip and re-stain with Ready Seal. Great ! Came out quickly, stripped and sanded the deck and re-stained it. The pergola and posts look great ! I think the pressure washer was too close to the wood and took some wood away leaving grooves. The deck had to be sanded to remove the "fuzziness" on the wood and smooth it out. They did a pretty good job sanding, just left a lot of "cross sanding' on some boards. But the deck color was very light, like the stain didn't take. Upon further investigation found out that Ready Seal does but dry as deep and dark as some others. Also, the area that I didn't bleach/clean was darker than the rest of the deck. Spoke to Mike about doing (and paying for) another coat plus some additional work. What I got was an e-mail attacking me for being unreasonable??? I thought they did pretty good work, but have a problem recommending him to others based on his behavior. He is very defensive...

We are landlords. We needed the exterior of our tenant's house cleaned. I called the office to make an appointment for an estimate. The woman who answered (who wasn't even friendly) said, "We don't do appointments." We are required by contract to give our tenants 24 hours notice before going onto the property. The tenants have a dog in the back yard and they don't want people opening the gate and walking in without warning. I don't blame them. They have the right to privacy. I explained this to the office, and she said, "We can give you 24 hours notice." But she could not say how long that might be or even when the estimator might call. In a couple of days the estimator called at 7 a.m., which is a pretty bad business hour unless you are calling someone over 80 years old. He said he'd be in our area today and wanted to do an estimate. First, I called the office, which of course was not open at 7 a.m., and told them we did not want the estimator to come to the property. Then I called the estimator's direct line and said, "We need 24 hours. We are bound by contract. I noted that to the office." He said, "I see the note here, but ... " and then started into this spiel about how it's so hard to give 24 hours notice. I said that I didn't think this would work for us and we'd have to go with another company. He started in again on the "It's so hard" spiel so I just said "Thank you" and "Goodbye." If you saw the note, why are you just ignoring it? The note is there because we actually do need 24 hours notice, so we don't want to be called at 7 a.m. on the day you deem it convenient to come. So if you go with this company, just realize that you are completely at their whim. If you need to meet the power wash guy for any reason, you will not get any more than a few hours notice. They will say they don't need to come into the house, but there are other reasons, which they don't seem to understand, why you can't just walk onto someone's property. There are also legitimate reasons someone might need to meet the estimator. They will say they can give you 24 hours, but then they won't actually do it. They also don't mind wasting your time by making promises they won't keep. People in this area don't sit at home waiting for the power wash guy to call so they can jump when he says jump. We have full-time jobs. We are landlords. We are all tremendously busy. We also have time which is valuable. So just know that this company will think its time and their convenience is more valuable than yours. I don't like dealing with companies that have this philosophy and that won't even try to come up with a solution that is respectful of everyone's time. They don't want to talk to you and they don't even want you to be home. That scenario doesn't work across the board but apparently works well enough to make them money. They probably have so many good reviews here that they have decided they are untouchable.

The work was done when scheduled, with exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness. We are very pleased with the work of American Powerwash Company, And we recommend this group very highly.

Mike was very responsive. He provided his recommendations for the job and we went with his recommendations. After the powerwashing, I noted a board was rotted which hadn't been evident before. Mike recommended replacing the board. We also had some damage from carpenter bees and/or woodpeckers and Mike recommended caulking rather than filling with wood fill because his experience suggested the bees would come back for the wood fill so we went with his recommendation. I was somewhat disappointed in the initial stain job which was uneven in some places and the holes hadn't been filled as we had discussed. Further, the board that was supposed to be replaced was repaired instead. Mike deducted that cost from the invoice which was fair and time will tell if it was the right call. Mike came back out personally and marked the spots that needed touching up and had his team over the next day which was reasonable. We will see how the job holds up and reassess in 2 years.

They arrived on time and did a god job. I will use them again.

Overall, we were satisfied with their responsiveness. Only down-check was that they did not adequately protect the deck speakers, which got splattered by overspray.

Went very well. Mike worked his schedule so we could get all this done in time for an open house for the sale of the property. Mike made good value suggestions (cleaning gutters and siding at same time).

Once the time was arranged, they came promptly. Rain interfered with completion, delaying us about a week. Mike kept us informed and returned as soon as it was possible. The quality of the work was excellent. They were extremely careful, cleaned up after each work day, and were pleasant to work with. The deck and walkways really look terrific! I would definitely use their services again!

Wonderful! The team showed up a few minutes early and went right to work. Despite the chilly and windy conditions, they were very thorough and did an excellent job. The house looks like it did when it was new. No more notes from HOA that our siding was dirty. Thanks. I will definitely call again when needed and will recommend to my neighbors.

I have used them for 6-7 years. They were very good. They are thorough and very polite. The neighbors also use them and we are very pleased with their price and their work. I have also used them for power washing before and were very good at that.
