Description of Work: Complete replacement of all windows with Pella fiberglass windows (25 windows total). Once it was done, these window replacements appear to be well done. Unfortunately, we were told this would take 4 weeks and it turned out to be 3 months. Replacement of 2 doors with Pella products: (1) the front door with both sidelights and (2) the door out to the garage. Both these installations took 5 months to complete satisfactorily. First the front door. The door and sidelights were not the ones we ordered. But this was not discovered until after the old door had been removed. So the incorrect new door and sidelights had to be installed. The frame as installed was skewed and as a result the door did not close correctly. But the worst part of the installation was the fact that the frame was not sealed underneath from the outside wind and rain so that a cold draft came in from below; while waiting for the correct door and sidelights for two months, we had to stuff towels in the crack below to try to mitigate the flow of cold air. As a result of this, we had to go through the heart of the coldest months of the winter suffering through this condition. The proper door and sidelights appear now to be installed correctly and they are functioning correctly. The door leading out to the garage. This door had a quarter inch gap between the sill and the lower portion of the door; so that if you bent down low you could see out from the kitchen into the garage. In this case too we had to stuff the gap with towels. It turned out that the fix was a simple adjustment of the sill. The door is now functioning properly. But again this took 5 months to achieve.
