American Home Contractors far exceeded my expectations from the beginning of the process. I first found out about them through Home advisor. I submitted an inquiry on a full roof replacement and shutters due to water damage from the roof. Within a few hours of submitting an inquiry, Tyler reached out via phone and followed up with an email to set up a contactless site survey. During this pandemic, I was skeptical and hesitant to have anyone come to my home for estimates, but these guys have it figured out already. Tyler came by and assessed the current damage, compiled a VERY detailed presentation with their scope of work and different tiered options for different shingles and doing it all contactless. After he compiled all the information, we had a ZOOM meeting to go over the quote and his finding with pictures of the damage that I had and his recommendations moving forward to repair the roof. I had reached out to at least 5 different companies for quotes, but Tyler and American Home stood out to me from the beginning because of the time and effort they put into the document they prepared. This was an overwhelming project not knowing anything about shingles, but Tyler took the time to explain EVERYTHING in detail and dummied it down for me to even understand, which I appreciate. I highly recommend them and have already referred Tyler and American Home to my neighbor who needs a new roof as well.

Melvin came promptly on time, was very courteous and professional, explained what he was doing and the small imperfections he found after a thorough examination of our roof. He provided us with many pictures of our gutters both before and after, and of the specific places on the roof that need repair. As always, we are 100% satisfied with American Home Contractors!

Came out, checked shingle and added nail and caulked, inspected the rest of the roof. Was polite, answered our questions.

They rescheduled a couple of times due to the weather - once the gutters were iced solid and once the roof was too slick from rain. But once Melvin actually started work, he did a great job. He was quick, he cleaned the gutters completely, repaired a piece of loose siding and reattached an extender on one of the downspouts with new screws to keep it from coming off. I would hire them again.

Howard came to my house to do a roof tune up. He called me before coming and was able to come out earlier than my scheduled appointment which I really appreciated. It is never fun waiting for a contractor. So I was so pleased that he showed up early. He was very professional and told me what he observed and showed me photos of before and after. He was very polite and helpful. I will certainly contact this company again for future maintenance and repairs. Do not hesitate to hire this company. Two workers came one did the work. One mostly used the time to try and convince me I needed a new roof. Six gutter screen guards left on the roof. I explained to the person booking the appointment that I had gutter screens and to have the workers not take them off-just clean around them. I will never use this company again.

The employee's before and after photos of our home's gutters were helpful. The work was done efficiently, as was the clean up of the leaves and debris removed from the gutters. Our home is larger than average, and so the total gutter measurement is greater than average. Employees were friendly and courteous.

As preventive maintenance, I had a new roof installed. Shortly after, the roof started leaking. It turns out that they left a nail out which cause water to come into the house. They came out and fixed it. I had some questions about a chimney which I believe was related to the roof job. They dodged my calls for months (January until July). They finally came out and fixed it. I recommended them to two other neighbors and would have expected better service.

Excellent work by this company!! Melvin Bonilla was exceptionally professional, kind, and absolutely committed to quality work. (He’s a true gem!) The price was really good. He made several roof/pipe repairs and checked my attic for additional leaks. I highly recommend, and I fully trust these guys to provide quality service. Thank you!!

Mike Giordano was punctual and efficient. He came early and immediately got to work cleaning my gutters. He took before and after pictures of all the work and even refastened a loose piece of downspout and siding that a windstorm had displaced. I highly recommend American Home Contractors.

This company appears to be a complete scam. We were scheduled for the inspection, repair and tune-up, with other promised offers. We waiting several weeks for the appointment, and instead were given an appointment just before rain despite promise that would not occur. Their staff arrived over 40 minutes late, because they wanted to stop for lunch first, even though we were their last appointment of the day. They didn't do virtually anything as advertised. The attic inspection involved a guy sticking his head up the attic hatch for seconds, snapping a couple pictures on his cell phone. The roof work was quick and perfunctory, and just the few dabs of caulk we did get were done right over just a fraction of the old, and were done minutes before pouring rain. The other requested work and estimate was blown off, with their staff putting hands on things and making them worse though they were not going to fix them. Then, adding insult to injury, and without any discussion or agreement of such added cost, the worker literally charged us double and for a whole additional job, just for spending literally about 5 minutes blowing a few leaves off the tops of the gutter guards. They even argued that their gift certificates/future credit deals are basically an error. I promptly contacted management after the appointment. Though the manager never called me back, another work appointment was scheduled for the following week. So, assuming everything would be made right, I took off again for the appointment. Nobody, including the staff who came the following week, knew why that second appointment was scheduled. Not only was it not to do any work, but it was apparently to just provide estimate for a new roof. It certainly made it seem like their company is a complete scam, with deals on inspections and "tune-ups" actually all designed just to bait-and-switch up-sell you for a whole new roof. And, adding to the suspicious nature of their actions, though the length of the front lawn and sidewalk in front of our clearly marked house was open, and the driveway was empty, the follow-up staff parked his unmarked car down the block, and had no company uniform. And every time you call for the manager, he is "in a meeting", but also not in the office, and nobody knows where he is or when he will return. This place appears like a bad telemarketing pyramid scam.

Highly recommend! Very pleased with the gutter cleaning and check-up service. Outstanding value and quality work. My technician Paul Cox was very thorough and did a great job. Love the before and after pictures.

To get on their schedule, there was a three week lead time. Okay, I didn't feel the gutters were an alarming issue to be cleaned. I received a call two days prior to the scheduled appointment stating that one of their staff got injured on the job and we would have to reschedule. That is very unfortunate! I asked when the next available time to clean the gutters would be and I would have to wait another month. Grrr. Not good customer service. I can not believe they do not have enough staff that can support this effort! I'm concerned... How is this company getting so many good ratings?

Paul arrived promptly and immediately got to work inspecting the roof and gutters. He cleaned the gutters and took pictures of everything in order to show me the condition they were in and any areas of concern. I asked a question at the end and he was kind enough to check inside the attic and get back up on the roof to take a few more pictures. I went ahead and booked another service while Paul was here for a roof tune up and some caulking that needs to be done. I would hire them again for any future needs.

Contractor who came was super nice and professional. Did the clean out and gave me a full description of the issues he found and recommendations for a new type of gutter screening that would work much better. Also reviewed with me the condition of the roof and made some minor repairs. Contacted his home base for me to schedule an estimate for roof and gutter replacement. Definitely would call on this firm again.

Made an appointment on May 18 for earliest available date, June 21. Company scheduler called day before the appt date to cancel due to a worker injury and rescheduled for a week later, June 28, their earliest next available date. When no one showed for the 2nd appt I called the scheduler and was told they had no record of the 2nd appt. Scheduler said earliest next appt would be July 30, another 33 days away. Total waste of time and I'm stuck with full gutters.

From the time I “claimed” the AngiesList deal to the completion of the service it has been a pleasure working with this company. Scheduling the service was straightforward. I received a reminder call the day before, and their technician, Austin Bunnell, from the Fairfax office, arrived a bit before the scheduled time. Austin explained what he was going to do and immediately got to work. After cleaning the gutters, checking their condition and slope he quickly checked the roof to see if there were any significant concerns (there were none). I was very impressed with the service I received, and especially with Austin’s knowledge, professionalism, honesty and friendliness. There is no doubt I will hire this company for future gutter needs. And, after learning they also do siding work, I’ll contact them for an estimate later this summer when I’m ready to put new siding on my house.

This is my second time using American Home Contractors. The technician Paul arrived on time and worked efficiently. He was polite and respectful of my home. He took many pictures to show the issues on my roof and what he did to repair them. Would definitely use again.

Glad to find American Home Contractors. Technician, Mr. Paul Cox, did my gutter tune up. He did a great job. I was very happy with it. He was polite, detail-oriented and professional. A great communication make me no concern. Definitely will work Mr. Cox of American Home Contractors again.
