Eric was very thorough and knowledgeable about my roofing gutters and attic!! He explained things so that I completely understood. He touched up all areas that he found to in need. He did not sell anything!! He took photos of everything before proceeding with fixes and shared after photos. I felt very comfortable with his assessment and recommendations!!

I am very pleased with the roof, siding, skylights, and bay window roof work completed by AHC. Even my neighbors and friends like the beautiful new look of my house! I was very careful on finding a reputable and reliable contractor for my $34K project. Finally, I found AHC and met with Tyler G. the owner/manager of AHC Fairfax office. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and patient. Although there were a few hiccups, to be expected for such a big project, Tyler handled it very professionally and resolved the issue timely. It makes me feel the company is trustworthy. Thanks to AHC and Tyler!

In one word if you say: This company is excellent, awesome and more focused on customer satisfaction. Immediately after purchasing from Angie's List, got call from Monique Harris for appt scheduling. Very professional and got me the slot what I need on what time. On the appt day, Technician Will Moore arrived 5 minute before appt time. He was very professional to look into where the issue, and started to work. He was never in hurry, and performed the job to fix the issue. Will documentation was excellent. I am not homeowner having any knowledge on roof Shingles. He explained me what the issue, how he fixed and also told if the problem comes back, pls call the office. I got the $800 package for sale on $149. Now I am their life time customer, and for any roof inspection this company is my source

The entire experience could not have been better. Monique responded quickly to my request for an appointment and collected advance information that would be useful to the person coming to home. On the day of the service, Dennis arrived on time and spent a lot of time not just performing the requested service but also showing pictures and explaining every aspect. In addition to the service, I received a written evaluation and pictures. Service was top notch and I highly recommend American Home Contractors.

Cleaned gutters, but did not clean out down spouts, so water would not drain from gutters. When I called and asked if this was an additional service I needed to pay for separately, I was told they do not clean down spouts.

Excellent detailed professional service. There was a thorough inspection done and repairs were done to fix water leak issues. We had several bad experiences before with roof repair work. But we are very happy with this service, follow up inspection report, pictures of work done and very reasonable charges.

I needed general roof maintenance, not a roof inspection.

Really well. Eric surveyed the roof, taking pictures of all he found, and was very thorough in checking all the pipes, chimney, vents, gutters and fan, as well as checking for missing shingle tabs, and explained what he found in simple, understandable terms. Our roof is really old and he informed us the current shingles are a second layer which was the cheaper faster way route the previous owner chose to repair the roof. He went over the pictures, laid out some options and then took care of all the minor issues covered by the service we were signed up for, including taking pictures again of all the places he touched up. Our house being over 50 years old, it was a sad but not surprising list of structural items not covered by the tune-up. He had some very constructive suggestions how to address those. All in all, Eric was quite professional, knowledgeable and thorough. I would be quite happy to have him return to do the same service another time.

Marc was a little late, but he called to let us know that he was running over at his earlier appointment. He was professional and explained what he found. I got some information on future repairs and an appointment for an estimate. Because we paid for the service through Angie's List, it was a little confusing about how to set up the appointment. We didn't know if AHC was going to contact us or if we needed to contact them. I ended up calling them to set up an appointment after more than a week went by and we had been charged for the service. I think the price is reasonable, but I've never had gutters cleaned before so I don't have a point of comparison.

Professional and worth the investment.

What a fantastic job Dennis from American Home Contractors did! He called to tell me when he would be at the job, which turned out to be, believe it or not, early! I told him I could not be there, so he agreed to call me with any changes or updates to the job. Of course waiting for him to tell me about all the extra money (above and beyond the $99 Angie's List deal) it was going to cost me, either for extra gutter footage or some other unforeseen problem. Never happened! In fact, not only did he go above and beyond cleaning the gutter and downspouts, he fixed a few nail pops in the roof, blew all debris off the roof, and then blew off my carport and walkway, all for no extra charge! Then he called to summarize all the work he'd done and what I could expect to see when i got home. What a great job! Thanks so much Dennis and American Home Contractors!

He was very honest, letting me know my roof is in excellent condition, and recommending optional improvements to the gutters. He actually informed me of a problem with my neighbor's roof that I can warn her about.

Outstanding! While my roof does need to be replaced due to age and poor condition, Eric S. took care of a bunch of short term repairs that stopped the leak(s). I have gained some desperately needed time to prepare for the costs associated with actually replacing the roof.

These guys are great. Professional, courteous, up-front, honest, and most of all great communicators. A breath of fresh air considering some of the fly-by-night contractors out there. Would definitely hire again! Highly recommended.

Very thorough inspection of problems in attic and on roof. All issues taken care of for a great price. My technician, Dennis Constantino was awesome. Although the address stated above is in Maryland they now have an office in Northern VA.

I contacted them and they gave me a quote, which was actually a little bit lower than the AL quote, but the AL quote included an extended warranty. I got a better deal through Angie's List than through them and I am very happy with the services done. They are Master Gaff certified; communication with the main office was great. The roof was done before I even knew work had commenced, which was a little shocking, but i was pleased with the work. They offer their own workmanship warranty for 10 years, which is another benefit.

I worked with Tyler, he was knowledgeable and had great customer service skills. Everything happened when and within the time frame that they provided. So far no leaks. I would recommend American Home Contractors to everyone and would definitely use them again myself.

The actual work was done in a professional manner. The worker was courteous, responsive and helpful. He provided information about weak spots and areas of concern and was prompt. The difficulty was scheduling and because of this difficulty responsiveness lowered the overall score. I would hire again if I could lock in a date, cancelations caused some heartburn.
