The leak in the related part of the attic was found. It was from the window dormer on the roof. It was caulked and new gaskets were used. I was told this was a preventive job and should be well for some time. I think the service was good.

Eric was very professional and able to articulate everything about the condition of our roof in comprehensive detail. He also made several suggestions for consideration, and documented the issues and repairs so we could see the results. I highly recommend as trustworthy and reliable.

No response after purchasing service from Angie's List and I had to call. Left a VM. Received call back and confirmed date. Work not completed per schedule.

Eric ran a bit late but that is to be expected with the traffic congestion/construction in my area. He was very thorough during the inspection and explained everything. He did a great job of addressing the minor issues and answered all my questions.

The Technician called ahead of time to say he was coming. he came on schedule was very professional and courteous he explained the work he did and showed me pictures to prove for it. I will definitely hire them again.

A number of problems with this company. Most importantly, we scheduled up a follow-up to our original roof repair to replace two broken 2 by 4s in our attic. The company no-showed, didn't answer the phone when called, and hasn't yet returned our voicemail. In between our original Angies List deal work and the follow-up work i called the main office for an estimate of the work. They said they couldn't provide it and i had to contact the original serviceman who came to our house. I emailed him and got no response. The original serviceman advised us to do a quick-fix instead of resolving the actual cause because he thought we were going to move soon (bad advice).

Well. Dennis is very knowledgeable and made this customer feel they are getting good and sound advice. Quite assuring that contractor is professional and has protection of one's property (for the service bought) as the primary goal.

The technician was prompt, professional and courteous. The reason that the overall rating is B is two fold. Number one, the technician arrived without a report from dispatch as to what he was supposed to do. AHC had me answer several questions about my home and what needed to be done but unfortunately that information was never conveyed to the technician. The technician took before and after photos of my roof, went to the attic and saw evidence of a leak, confirmed evidence of a leak in the bedroom below but was unable to find evidence on the roof revealing the source of a leak. He caulked and sealed several areas and installed a new boot ring on the sewage exhaust pipe. In the final analysis he reported the roof was in very good shape and he could see no source for the leaks that were clearly evident inside the home. The roof was graded out as an overall 2-3 (3 being the best) on the AHC inspection report. Number two, since I don't know if the leak has been repaired until the next heavy rain, it is hard for me to evaluate the overall success of the technicians efforts. I want to stress that the entire experience was very professional, the technician appeared to be experienced and scheduling the appointment was a breeze. I just can't say yet if the whole experience was successful

Mr. John Talpas arrived promptly and professionally introduced himself and instructed me on the service he was here to provide. The scope was extremely well explained and he was/is very personable. He seemed extremely knowledgeable and provided great/sound advice for the future integrity of my roof/attic/chimney. He was quickly able to identify where I had a leak and provided a very descriptive explanation as to the root cause, and what it will take to remedy it, and prevent future occurrences. He provided me with a well-rounded roof inspection and gave me advice on the future outlook of my roof with the current conditions (when i should think about complete replacment). He obviously knows what he is talking about and is to the point and did not try to offer anything i didn't need. A true professional in my opinion, and would gladly recommend John and American Home Contractors to anyone who is in need of honest and excellent quality work. Prompt, polite, professional and I felt i could trust his professional opinion, he was NOT pushy and was a pleasure to work with. I look forward to John and his company coming out to replace the flashing around my chimney (which was quoted at a very fair price i might add). I HIGHLY recommend American Home Contractors and especially John - THANK YOU! Also, the scheduling office was extremely flexible and got me an appointment very quickly. Eric did a really good job. Very professional

The contractor was amazing. I even told him that . He called before he came, and he checked if he could come earlier. He arrived and assessed the situation, fixed and sealed flashing, and took very clear pictures on the roof,. After he cleared all the gutters, he leaf blew all the debris off my deck, not just what came from the gutters. He was very knowledgeable about water flow, roof and tiles, flashing , chalking and chimneys.

The leak appears to have been patched successfully. Also showed me pictures of what was going on around the roof, and explained that he patched some nail heads that had popped up on the ridge vent and also replaced some shingle tabs. I was impressed that he came prepared with an extremely tall ladder to reach a spot in the back 3 stories up close to the edge that could not be reached when he was walking on the roof from the easier to access side. Did a very thorough job.

It is still leaking. There was no additional charges. They were supposed to fix the leak and it is still leaking. They were paid to fix the leak. They came out but there is still a leak. There was no follow up call. There was no "Is everything okay?" nothing.

Found and fixed the gap around the chimney where rain was probably getting in. We'll know for sure next time it rains heavily. Conscientiously examined the entire roof to check there were no other areas that might be leaking.
