Description of Work: Signed on for the full service annual program treatment. Sent in required $245 deposit. After each service, a paper "invoice" was left on porch. Sometimes there was an amount due others not. Common sense expected the deposit to be applied to first two treatments.....very inconsistenst billing practive and staff was no better at explaining it....neither was it included in the contract "in written words" how the down payment was to be applied...never send invoice statements which caused me to have late payment charges. Poor accounting practices.

+ -1 moreIn July 2006 I called Mr. Miller because my lawn was dying. After a week Mr. Miller had not called, so I called him again. He did not return my call. The next time I called Mr. Miller it was August and he still did not call me back. Finally on the fourth phone call, Mr. Miller talked with me. I told him about my lawn, and that I was annoyed that he had refused to call me back. Mr. Miller came out the next day and said I needed to water my lawn and it should come back. I had been watering may lawn previously, and continued to water it, but it did not come back. Mr. Miller then said that my contract had run out and he was not going to do anything. I contacted Fairfax County Consumer Affairs(FCCA). Mr. Miller told FCCA that I had to prove that I applied 12,500 gallon of water per week for 6 out of 8 weeks from June to the end of August. FCCA found that demand unreasonable and not stated anywhere in the contract. Bottom line was that Mr. Miller refused to honor the guarantee.
Description of Work: I paid full service. Mr. Miller's estimate states that it is for a year of service. His Super Full Green-Clad Guarantee states: ''No matter what happens to your lawn-short of a natural disaster or excavation - We'll Fix It, At The Proper Time, Free of Charge! All you have to do is keep your account up to date.'' In addition, the guarantee states that, ''Super Lawns will be there when you need us, 48-72 hours after you call. We will fix it, at the proper time, free of charge.'' As such, after Mr. Miller came out and gave me an estimate on September 9, 2005. I relied on his guarantee and signed up for the full service which included 6 treatments, but due to the language noted on the estimate which stated, ''year'' and ''first year customers'' and the language of the guarantee it was, and still is, my understanding that Mr. Miller would fix whatever problems occurred during that entire year, and all I had to do was call him and he would be here within 48-72 hours to fix it.
