Pipe Kings

Paul of Pipe Kings is everything you could want in a plumber. Professional, knowledgeable, personable, honest, and punctual. In my situation obtaining the necessary replacement part turned out to be a bit of a challenge. Paul hung in there (3 visits) until the correct part was obtained and properly installed and calibrated. Other plumbers would not even return my calls after I explained our problem. We have used Paul/Pipe Kings multiple times at different locations and it has always been the same experience: professional, knowledgeable, personable, honest, and punctual.

I called Pipe Kings per the enthusiastic recommendation of a friend to get a second opinion on my hot water heater. It had been leaking for a few days, then stopped. I had been working with another company that insisted that it would need to be replaced and quoted $3500-$4000. (For reference, I am in a condo unit and have a hot water/furnace combo.) Scheduling was easy and the receptionist was very friendly and able to answer all of my questions. I appreciated the follow up email with the appointment information. On the day of the appointment Paul called me to let me know he was on his way and showed up within the established window. I am glad Paul came out. He was honest and able to explain possible sources of the water I noticed previously and advised me on a few things I could do to monitor the situation for now. He felt that a new hot water heater absolutely wasn't necessary right now. He also took the time to answer several other questions I had about hot water heater maintenance and what to look out for. I asked for an estimate if we did replace the hot water heater and he estimated around $3000-$3200 which was quite a bit lower than the other company. Paul was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Although it turns out that I do not need Pipe Kings' service right now I will definitely call them if I do need anything in the future. Bonus: Paul was great with my dog and has two of his own :)

They were not as expensive, I would have given them a B on the expense.

I don't remember the cost but I remember thinking that it was a little bit expensive for what they did. we know the guy that is why we do it but overall, he is very responsive when we call. Usually, if you have a plumbing issue, you need somebody to be pretty responsive.

A friend recommended Paul who was extremely responsive to my urgent request to have a hot water tank replaced. His team were professional and friendly and kept me informed throughout the 2 hour project regarding what was happening e.g. placement of new tank compared with previous tank. Very knowledgeable and courteous. Pricing was very competitive with other quotes I obtained. Thoroughly recommend.

Cleaned up after the job and cleaned up the counter where old water stains from previous faucet were.

Paul is extremely personable, down to earth, and honest in his work and pricing. We appreciate that he gives us the real deal and is very reasonably affordable. He will spend the time to explain things to you so that you aren't reliant on him coming back numerous times, but he enables us to be more self-reliant. Thank you for your great work!

It went exactly as planned. Paul was available on short-notice and did the work efficiently. His price was lower than one other estimate.

They did a great job of coming to give an estimate of what I would need to purchase (I ordered the new toilet and sink/pedestal from Lowe's) and what ancillary fittings I would need. They were always punctual, courteous and helpful.

I spoke with Amanda a couple days prior for an appointment on November 19th for the 8-12 window and gave her all my new numbers. I assumed she had taken them correctly, but she never verified them with me come to think of it. I gave her the correct number for my home phone and requested he me on my house number when he was coming out. Well it was approx. 10:30 and I just happen to go downstairs and looked at my celIphone because I had not heard anyone. I saw I had two missed calls from Paul 2 hours early on my cell not my home number. I then called his cell phone letting him know I was at my house and had been here all morning, and asked him to call me back. I then called Amanda at his office and she told me she would call me right back so I hung up. Never heard back from her. I had talked to her 90 minutes later. She tried to reschedule the appointment and I declined...found another plumber. The sad part of this whole thing is, I'm not a new customer. He has done work for me once before and I am a friend of a good friend of his, that is how I found out about him. He never even came by my house.to see if I was here. I would never not show for an appointment with someone, especially someone who a friend recommended without the courtesy of letting them know I would not be there. I will not be using his services again, but if you ever call them make sure his secretary hears what you tell her and repeats it back to you.

Went well - arrived promptly at the start of our 2 hour window. Diagnosed the leak source, gave a clear explanation of what happened and what we could do to avoid future problems. Price was very good too!

eyPlumper was responsive to need to clear clogged kitchen sink drain. Problem was resolved, but reassembly of drain pipes was not adequately accomplished and tested. Shortly after contractor departed several leaks were found in the pipes the plumer removed to clear blockage. He was rushing and didn't take time to perform the work in a complete and professional manner.

Great. Paul was responsive, prompt and tidy, and his price was very competitive. He was very patient in answering questions for me by phone in advance. We will use him again.

He came out to DC from Virginia, saw right away it was not a plumbing problem but a shower door that needs replacing, wouldn't let me pay for his time and trouble so I thought I could at least give him a nice review. He's done very good work for me before, which is why I called him again.

Completed all three items in 45 minutes. Supply costs were less than Home Depot.

He cut the hole to size for access door I've purchased and installed making it much more cost effective than hiring someone to repair/paint ceiling. Very pleased with his work. Would call him again for any serious plumbing job.

Found the origin of the leaks in the walls and repaired. Also repaired toilet that was running. Arrived on time - did not loiter or waste time - completed work in a timely, professional manner - excellent price.

I wouldn’t say they were low priced, but they were competitively priced. The price was substantiate for the work done. I will use him in future and I tried to use him once, but couldn’t as he was busy.

He gave us advise about not installing a new one. He is great and would be the only plumber I would call. He is very responsive and punctual.

Arrived on time. Had a sense of urgeny during entire job. Professional and courteous. Very helpful explaining issues/causes/work done. Overall it could not have gone better.

I called Mr. Southwick Tuesday night and was able to arrange a Wednesday morning visit. He came on time, was friendly, courteous and professional, got the job done quickly and cleaned up very nicely after, including replacing all items in cabinet under the kitchen sink. It was pretty straightforward, and I was fully satisfied.

We have used them for years. They are all master plumbers and they know what they are doing. They are very prompt and we trust their work 100%. They are on time.

We hired Paul on a recommendation from a neighbor, and I was a little surprised that it was a little more than a week out when we could initially get him to do the work (but I said it was not an emergency), but then I understood why. He was extremely punctual, respectful of my time and worked very quickly (important in my case, since I have two young children that needed naps at the time.) He was done before I knew it, and also checked out the work of a previous contractor that had installed the dishwasher disposal (incorrectly), and fixed that. Then explained why it was necessary to do so. Very quick, very professional, and reasonably priced. We will definitely hire again!

They were terrific. They were easy to scheduling and functionality and a good price. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves.
