Mid Atlantic Masonry

I waited forever to schedule the deal and finally he told me he could not do it. He did come out for measurements but I think he realized it was a small job and did not contact me. I wish he would have been straightforward and honest. He explained the situation but it was too late. He might have been overwhelmed from the amount of responses but I don't think he should have offered a deal if he could not handle it. I did not have a good experience and I am getting a refund for the deal.

WE HIRED JEFF AND MIDATLANTIC MASONRY TO SHORTEN AN EXISTING FRONT FLOWER BED, AND FILL AND REPLACE WITH BRICK TO MATCH THE EXISTING PATIO BRICK. THIS WIDENED THE APPROACH TO THE FRONT PORCH,AND MADE THE ENTIRE FRONT WALKWAY LOOK MORE APPEALING. JEFF RETURNED MY CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT VERY PROMPTLY, AND CAME OUT TO GIVE US AN ESTIMATE WITHIN A FEW DAYS. HE WAS EXTREMELY PLEASANT TO WORK WITH AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE MADE SUGGESTIONS THAT WE HAD NOT EVEN CONSIDERED, BUT WERE AN EXCELLENT WAY TO GET THE LOOK WE WANTED. JEFF QUOTED A VERY REASONABLE PRICE AND ASSURED US HE COULD MATCH THE BRICK AND EXISTING MORTAR, WHICH HE DID. TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE, THE BRICK THAT WAS ALREADY THERE AS ABOUT 15 YEARS OLD. JEFF AND HIS CREW WERE HERE WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE, WORKED HARD WHEN ON OUR PROPERTY AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY WERE A LITTLE DELAYED DUE TO RAIN, BUT WERE HERE WHEN IT WAS APPROPRIATE, AND THEY FINISHED THE JOB IN A TIMELY MANNER. IT LOOKS AMAZING!!! JEFF ALSO CAME BACK A FEW WEEKS LATER AT OUR REQUEST TO ACID WASH THE NEW AREA AGAIN. THERE WAS SOM CONCRETE DUST THAT HAD SETTLED INTO THE BRICK AND WE COULD NOT GET IT OUT. HE WAS MORE THAN HAPPY TO COME BACK , AND TOOK CARE OF THIS VERY MINOR ISSUE FOR US. WE ARE SO HAPPY WE USED THIS COMPANY, AND PLAN ON USING THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE WHEN WE RE-DO OUR DRIVEWAY. THEY GUARANTEE THEIR WORK, AND ARE JUST A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH. IN MY OPINION, THIS WAS A SMALL JOB THAT SOME COMPANIES WOULD NOT EVEN CONSIDER GIVING AN ESTIMATE FOR, BUT JEFF TREATED US LIKE THIS WAS A MILLION DOLLAR JOB, AND WAS JUST AS CONCERNED ABOUT DOING GREAT WORK FOR US AS HE WOULD BE FOR A LARGER JOB. I WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE IN NEED OF QUALITY MASONRY WORK.

Jeff called back within a day of our original call and he set up a meeting within a week. We had a plan that had been submitted and approved by our HOA so he was able to do the estimate quickly. When we told him we needed pavers that would blend in with an existing brick patio he was able to provide an excellent match. We were delighted when he said he could do the project by the end of May. After the contract was signed he called with a start date and 8 days later we had the patio. It was well built and all workmen were diligent, careful and knowledgeable -- He offered us the best price and the best experience for our project. He met every detail of the contract -- and even informed us when the crew would arrive later in the day. Each evening the work area was left neat and clean -- all materials were handled with care. Very professional No issues. Communicated well when work delayed by weather and kept us informed. Scheduled promptly Excellent and would definitely use again.

My wife and I had a price in mind and set out getting estimates. Because of the positive reviews on Angie's List, we contacted Mid-Atlantic Masonry. After meeting with Jeff, we got a good initial feeling from him and were happy with the cost estimate. We made a deposit and he scheduled our project. Jeff was very knowledgeable not only about his products but gave good advice on what would look best and how to handle our drainage issues. He was very responsive to our many questions. Jeff and his crew worked efficiently and made every step of the process simple. A funny side story...because it was warm when the crew was working, my wife left a plastic pitcher of ice water and some cups for them. When we arrived home on the day the patio was completed, aside from a brand new, gorgeous patio, we found a new pitcher. Apparently, ours had accidentally been cracked so Jeff replaced it. It is a small thing but just shows that customers are important to them. You can't go wrong with Mid-Atlantic Masonry. We couldn't be happier!

Jeff did a good job inspecting, taking pictures and communicating to me what the current state of the chimney was. He wrote out a detailed explicit estimate and time estimate. Jeff is a no nonsense guy, not a "salesman". I appreciated his demeanor and professionalism. He seems organized and did the job when and within the time that he estimated. There were no additional charges either.

Had Mid Atlantic Masonry come back and install ceramic tile in the bathroom. Another Excellent and professional job.

When I called Mid Atlantic Masonry the owner was the one I spoke to about my problem. He was at my house the next day and explained what had to be done and the best way to do it. The job was scheduled the next week and work began on time. I was updated frequently through the process. No problems since the work was done, basement is dry The job was done on time and in a professional manner. I would recommend Mid Atlantic Masonry to anyone needing this type of work.

I called Mid Atlantic Masonry to ask for an estimate and left a voice mail message with my name and number. I was contacted the same day. We set up an appointment for the weekend for a consultation. Jeff was very professional and showed me samples of several options with prices. He drew up a design for the patio onsite and explained the whole process to me. We then scheduled the work to be done in 6 weeks. I like the fact that Jeff was the one who actually did the work instead of a different crew that I did not know. Jeff and his other 2 workers came and finished the patio within 2 weeks. He and his crew were very respectful and courteous. Out of the three estimates I obtained, he was in the middle price range. I would highly recommend this contractor.
