Paulo was very responsive and his crew did an excellent, careful, even artistic job of installing our driveway (replacing the driveway itself and adding on to it on one side). I cannot overstate how happy we are with their work!

JP upgraded the concrete driveway for my house, about 700sqft. From estimate to job completion, Paulo and his crew show very professional performance. Under such difficult pandemic situation, they came to do the work only 2 weeks after quotation done, which is 4-week ahead of original schedule. And the job was quickly and nicely done. They arrived in the morning 730, and the job was finished 1530. The new driveway looks fabulous . Highly recommend.

We found JP Companies through a local realtor who lives in our neighborhood. Not only does her team use them for the homes they sell but when it came time to replace her own driveway she used them as well. That automatically told me a lot and they didn't disappoint. Paulo was timely about coming to give us an estimate, helped us hone in on the scope of the project, and got the estimate to us quickly. The work was done in 2 days as promised and he even dealt with our internet service provider when the line was clipped because it wasn't where it was supposed to be. The finished work looks great and we couldn't be more pleased with the project from start to finish. Definitely recommend!

JP Companies was exceptional. The job was supposed to take 1-2 days, replacing our old decrepit asphalt driveway with simple concrete but the team discovered a gas leak under our asphalt which necessitated a halt to the work only an hour after they began. Paulo however coordinated everything with Washington Gas for us, to get the leak addressed immediately. Someone showed up within an hour to assess the leak inside and outside and turn off our gas after putting in place a plan to repair the leak the next day, which included drilling a giant hole in the street to trace the line. A team of about a dozen including plumbers, pipe fitters, and construction crews showed up to fix the gas leak, plus rerouting the gas line in our house to an outdoor meter. This was a major operation which they completed in one day. Once they finished, Paulo then had to scramble to fit us back in to his busy schedule as soon as possible and to arrange for concrete delivery, etc. He prioritized our job and they finished leveling and compacting the subsurface two days later, coming from another job in the afternoon, then attended to the new driveway the following day. They showed up at 7 am ready to work, and they were meticulous in everything they did -- the crew was diligent, competent, and respectful. They work so well together, a small team of 4, plus Paulo overseeing everything. We contracted for a very basic concrete driveway but we still felt we received VIP service and attention. The broom finish at the end was like watching a great artist drawing perfect lines on a blank canvas. This company is very experienced and just great. We highly recommend them .

Timely, efficient and good quality

JP Companies was fabulous from beginning to end. Paulo came out and listened to what we wanted and made great suggestions to better our project. He was personable and friendly. We had our front walkway replaced and redone with beautiful stone. The men that performed the work were professional and took care to not disturb the surrounding landscape work as they completed the job. It is beyond what we had hoped for. The entire experience was top notch! And we found them on Instagram. I love that they expanded their advertising!!

Paulo (the owner) is knowledgeable and professional. His work from time of coming by for an estimate through commencing and completing the project was efficient and timely. He did both a new brick retaining wall and new concrete driveway pad and we were pleased with the results of both tasks. I also went back to Paulo recently asking for documentation on the job, some years have passed since the work was completed, and he came through the needed documents as requested which was a professional courtesy. We had an all around excellent experience with JP. Our project involved replacing our driveway, taking out an old concrete walkway, putting in a new flagstone walkways/steps/retaining wall with embedded lighting. They also replaced a segment of fence and installed a new gate. The project was completed on time and on budget. The workmanship was top notch. Paulo gave us excellent personal attention and customer service. We had clear and timely communication throughout the process. He also helped us work out aesthetic details. We have received many compliments about how beautiful and well designed the new front yard looks with the walkway and wall. Having worked with many contractors in the past, we would strongly recommend JP Companies as among the best we have encountered.
