Had my driveway replaced, a deck removed and a concrete pad installed for a hot tub. They were phenomenal. Very professional and experienced. The crew was hard working and friendly, and they clearly cared about the quality of their work. Paulo went the extra mile every time throughout the process. The existing concrete driveway to the house was pretty cracked and pitted. It had also settled over the years so that there was an obvious gap and "lip" between it and the garage. The existing sidewalk had started to deteriorate and was becoming structurally unsound in areas. Paulo (one of the owners) came out, listened to what we thought we needed and desired. Gave us some options and possible solutions, listing out pros and cons. He provided estimates for a couple of options we asked for, as well as an estimated project timeline. The crew and Paulo showed up right on schedule and were extremely efficient at demolishing the existing driveway and sidewalk, then removing all debris. The pour went smoothly (no pun intended), and the crew did an outstanding job installing the new driveway and sidewalk. Very personable to work with and genuinely cares about ensuring the job is done right and to the customer's satisfaction. Answered all questions asked. 10/10, would hire again!

Joe came out to give us an estimate on Sept. 2, 2021 and said he would email us the estimate the following week. Giving him a little slack because of the holiday weekend I emailed him on Sept. 9th asking him when we could except the estimate and he never responded. I called on Sept. 16 and left a voice message to give me a call and again, no response. I ask - how could you possibly trust a company that does not respond........to do work for you??

JP Companies did a great job. Paulo was very helpful from start to finish. Most of all I appreciate the company's responsiveness when there were minor issues.

Paulo Nicolau and his crew recently completed a concrete driveway and CMU divider wall demo and rebuild. The also parged the wall and reset the pavers in my patio. Of the numerous contractors I have spoken to regarding this project, JP Companies presented the best in terms of cost, warranty, design, materials, reputation, and personnel. The project planning started last Autumn, but as we finalized details the weather grew too cold for concrete work. Paulo, however, stayed in touch over the winter, advising on possible upcoming scheduling and answering numerous questions regarding care, maintenance, materials, warranty specifics, contract options, etc. When the weather finally let up they completed the work efficiently, working long days, including a Saturday, cleaning up after themselves every time, and working in a fashion presenting minimal disturbance to other parts of my property and neighbors' properties. They also managed unforeseen issues with a utility provider. The individual masonry workers did good work, finding areas not originally scoped but in need of little fixes and doing so. And, the one time the opposite occurred, i.e., they forgot to do something, Paulo had them out the next day removing the mistaken work, and redoing the area to specification. On the day before the last, I noticed literally less than a handful of old bricks near the project area which needed repointing and Paulo had his masonry worker come out and do it the next morning. In these instances, when some others might have, not so much for the materials, but for the extra labor hours, no extra cost was added to our contract. Overall, JP Companies, Inc. provided great service and workmanship, educated their customer so that informed decisions could be made and maintained a professional but friendly and warm demeanor throughout. I would definitely recommend them.

Joe and his team did an EXTRAORDINARY job! They have exceeded every expectation I possibly could have held. Each of them are true artisans. It is so beautiful! The great lengths they went to create the most perfect and amazingly functional product has left us in awe. And as if looking at it in the dark last night wasn’t amazing enough, it woke to a live-fire exercise this morning. An intense downpour that lasted for nearly 5 hours instantly flooding the roadway out front. I had to go back there and see how my brand new 20-hour-old concrete driveway was handling this tsunami. No water puddled anywhere on the concrete, and the little streamlet-runoff-groove they created just outside of my barn worked perfectly. Each of them were polite, professional and courteous. They were punctual, reasonably priced and skilled. I would definitely use them again any time I need a concrete job done. Thank you Joe and team!

My experience with JP Companies was high quality from the initial conversation with Paulo to the job's finish. Paulo is very professional, transparent, detail oriented and prompt. All of my questions were answered in full detail and my requests were fully understood. The driveway and the backyard patio are exactly what we wanted and we get complements from our neighbors almost every day as they walk by. If you want a good job done with concrete and you want high quality service through the entire process, definitely work with JP and Paulo.

Excellent company to work with. JP Companies removed and installed a new concrete porch and carport pad. The crew arrived on time, complete the work quickly and left the job site clean. We had a few challenges due to an adjacent cement pad and a awkward front entrance. Paulo made some recommendations with confidence only experience can bring to resolve/minimize the issues. Can’t ask for more. Good value, professional and they obviously take pride in their work.

Outstanding. Paulo and his team were professional and stayed on track for this large project. The entire team was knowledgeable and confident and completed an amazing amount of work in three days. The final product is beautiful and we will enjoy it for years to come. If we ever need additional concrete work, JP companies is number one on our list!

Communication has been pretty good with them and they provided the estimate last year and have honored/or beat previous pricing. They have been good with responsiveness.

We hired Paulo to replace our concrete driveway which was starting to crumble. He came out to discuss and provide and estimate which we found to be very reasonable based on past community posts in our area. The day of the work Paulo came out to chat first and ensure all was in order. The crew was on time and finished plenty early and it looks great. No problems at all in the experience (assuming work lasts) and would definitely hire again.

The new driveway is perfect! We hired JP Companies several years ago to replace our front steps and are still very happy with that job, so hiring them to replace our driveway was an easy decision. The price was great, they started and finished when they said they would and the driveway looks fantastic. We couldn't be happier.

Quote was very reasonable. After reading reviews we knew our choice was JP Companies. The crew arrived on the day scheduled. They were very professional, courteous and respectful. They were skilled and did not leave a mess behind. We highly recommend this company and will definitely use JP Companies for future work.

Joe was very professional. He came out on time for the estimate and when his crew came out they were on time has well. He explained our choices and explained thoroughly how to take care of the concrete and what to watch for if we had any problems.

It went terrific and I sadly never say that about working with folks in the trades. JP was highly responsive to my request for quotes and questions. He gave me a quote that was both specific and detailed. He worked with me a little on price and deposit. His team showed up at my house to the minute of when he said that they would. They moved quickly and minimized damage to lawn, mulch beds, and sprinklers. He worked with me to address my concerns about cracks in the prior driveway, tieing the driveway into both the garage and the apron, and tieing the driveway and the sidewalk together. At every step of the way (grade, gravel depth, concrete depth) JP checked in with me and had me approve it before he went to the next step. Not sure if this was his normal practice or another instance of him working with me to allay my concerns. Whichever...... it sure worked for me. I had thought it would take two days....... they were out by 3pm on day one. As JP said, this wasn't their first driveway. I know of at least two other driveways in my neighborhood that he has done. All the homeowners are highly satisfied.

Working with Paulo was great from beginning to end. We discussed the walkway first, and I had some concerns regarding a previous estimate and how they wanted to approach the job (pour over vs tear up). He immediately agreed that my concern was vaalid, and the proper way to do this was to tear up the existing walkway and re-pour the entire thing. I also had a concern about irrigation lines that ran underneath the walkway - he reassured me they would be careful in that area, and also asked that I leave spare parts if I had them on hand (line, connectors, etc.) just in case they did hit it, so that they could repair it! On to the shed: it's a sizeable slab (12x16) and so we talked about size and layout for a bit. He got what I was looking for right away, and even offered to pour a ramp where the doors would be, as well as pouring a larger slab (13x17) to give a little extra (6") on each side. Day of: they showed up on time (7am) and started working on the shed location immediately. Paulo walked back with me to finalize - I brought out plans for the shed, and he took the time to go over it and listen to some ideas I had about the ramp and door location (even though I should have had that ironed out ahead of time). Again, he got where I was coming from right away, and I appreciate that he took the time to actually listen and understand what I wanted, and make sure the crew understood what we were doing too. Everything turned out great! He was back at the end of the day to check on everything and go over some basics with me (e.g. keep damp for a few days, don't walk on for a day, etc.) The crew was excellent! Very polite, did a great job, cleaned up, worked their tails off in this heat... I did the only thing I could at that time to help - give them bottles of water. This estimate was the same as the first one I got, and they were going to put in a lot less effort (pour over existing walkway, no shed ramp) so I'm very happy with how everything worked out. Paulo is fantastic to work with - very personable and takes the time to understand what you're looking for. Remembers details of your conversation even weeks later.

Amazing job, and well ahead of schedule. The extra advice I got at our first meet was great, not something I thought about, and in turn the final product tied everything in so perfectly. I could've never though that so much work could be done in a single day and with such quality. It was a great pleasure working with Paulo and his crew!

Great. They came on time, did in the amount of time they promised and did a great job. The driveway is finished very cleanly and professionally. Looks amazing. Just what we wanted. Only thing I'd note is that they dug away a lot of dirt and so water now collects next to the driveway in the crack between the driveway and where the grass now starts. However, once I called and talked to them about it, they sent someone to fill in the dirt. They came with a whole truck full of dirt and spent some time filling the gaps in.

Paulo was incredibly responsive and helpful through the whole project. He was able to come by quickly to give me a quote for the project. He also was very patient and understanding as I went through the HOA process for his payment. His crew did a great job taking out the old slab of concrete and pouring the new slab. One of my neighbors driveways got slightly damaged during the process and they repaired it that same day. Our FIOS line also accidentally got cut, and Paulo took care of contacting Verizon for us to get the new line installed the next day. We are very happy with Paulo and his crews’ professionalism and quality of their work.
