HHI and Kevin did an absolutely phenomenal job on my inspection. In addition to his very apparent extensive knowledge of the substantive, technical areas related to completing a home inspection, what particularly stood out was his skill in clearly communicating to me in layman's terms all of the things he was evaluating and his findings. I personally learned a ton. My family who was also present during the inspection likewise remarked about his professionalism. Kevin was the best service provider I worked with throughout my entire real estate buying process and I absolutely will be recommending him and HHI to friends and family.

We were absolutely thrilled with our experience with Hurlbert Home Inspection for our potential home purchase. Our seller insisted on a 5-day inspection window, and HHI was extremely responsive and willing/able to schedule the inspection quickly. We worked with Tim Valaike, who was timely, professional, friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful – making comments about items that it would be preferable to fix, in addition to the necessary ones. As first time home buyers, we had read up on issues often overlooked during an inspection, and Tim addressed every single one (and more), without us having to mention any of them. We also were extremely impressed with HHI’s use of technology. We were able to schedule the appointment, enter all of the house information, and pay for the inspection on-line. Once at the inspection, Tim’s assistant took notes on a laptop, as Tim made observations about the property and took photographs of problem areas. Immediately after the inspection was complete, Tim uploaded the pictures, edited his notes, and printed a draft version of the report for us on a portable printer. The final version was sent via e-mail less than two hours later. The inspection and radon test were a bit more expensive than other providers, but the quality of service was so excellent that HHI was worth every penny. I would use HHI again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I are in the process of purchasing a home in North Arlington and as expected a home inspection was requested. We decided to go with this company as it was a recommendation by our realtor whom we trust whole hearted. This was a great selection, Seth was prompt and professional arriving a few minutes earlier than the appointment time with all his gear and assistant. He explained some of the findings that he found in his preliminary search and started the inspection. Following his thorough inspection we all sat and discussed his findings. It was very nice that he color coded the findings based on severity. Not only is it easier to identify but it will be a great task list as we grow with the home and we can prioritize the home projects to come. We were more than thrilled with Seth and his company, we highly recommend them and we know he will treat you like family and will be as thorough as he was with us.
