I called Steve on 1/21 and explained my problem - told him the snowblower would not start after sitting unused for a year and a half. He said the carburetor was likely gummed up. He said if that were the case, it would cost about $75 to repair. He said he could pick up and deliver the snowblower for a one-time $20 charge and that he could pick it up on Thursday (1/24) and would call before he came to get it. He called me at work on Wednesday and said he'd pick it up Thursday and have it done Sunday or Monday. He picked it up Thursday as he said he would. I got a call from him on Sunday saying he'd deliver it within an hour - he did. The cost of repair was $70 and the pick-up and delivery fee was $20. He gave me some tips on how to aviod having the problem recur and a tip on getting inexpensive shear pins for the snowblower. He's a genuine nice guy and a reliable businessman. I would certainly recommend First Look to anyone looking for small engine repair service.

We had a snow blower that had not been operated in 12 years. We contacted First Look LLC after finding them on Angie's List. We contacted them on a Tuesday and they came out and got the snow blower on Wednesday and returned it in first rate operating condition on Saturday morning. We were outside their free pickup and delivery area but they only charged $20 for combined pickup and delivery. They are a first rate company and we will use them again.

This mower supposedly repaired x2 by another service. Never fixed. First Look picked up and returned mower, Again initially not repaired. Mower picked up again. This time repair successful. working well and in addition new parts not associated with motor, ordered and replaced at minimal extra cost making operation easier than ever before. Finished product more than satisfactory. Polite, eager to insure satisfaction.

First look did an overhaul on a snowblower my father gave me. It had been unused for several years, and the gas had turned to sludge. Their prices were VERY reasonable, and service included pickup and delivery. They also fixed 2 flat tires, including installing a tube in one ( To avoid the more expensive option of replacing the tire.) They did the work on time and at the estimated cost. They were pleasant and professional at all times. I HIGHLY recommend them. Outstanding!

Came out to house, picked up the mower, fixed it up like new and brouth it back. Very responsive, very reasonably priced. Did not try to oversell or upsell me. Would absolutely recommend these guys and will use them again.

Our portable generator broke during our last storm and as the forecasts for Hurricane Sandy worsened, we were kicking ourselves for not having it fixed earlier. On Thursday, 10/25, I logged onto Angies List to find someone to repair the generator. When I reached Steve at First Look he said he would come pick it up that afternoon. He kept in touch with me throughout the day to let me know when he would be here. I asked how long it would take and he wasn't sure until he figured out what was wrong, but rarely does it take more than a week. We had resolved ourselves to the fact that if we lost power we would not have the generator and just keep our fingers crossed that the power would stay on. On Sat., 10/27, I had a message on my phone from Steve, he had fixed my generator and was hoping to deliver it that day so we would have it for the storm. Sat. afternoon (10/27) we had our generator back. Our generator was the only one First Look had and they pushed everything else aside to get it fixed, knowing we may need it for the storm. One week later, First Look (Steve) is our hero! We lost power Monday afternoon (10/29) and it finally came back on late Wed. night (10/31), the generator worked perfectly! Although we are out of his free pickup delivery area I will gladly pay the $50 to have First Look repair and service everything. If you need a small engine repair person....look no further, call First Look. THANK YOU STEVE!!

This is my second time working with First Look and won't be my last. On this occasion they picked up the generator and riding mower and had them back in less than a week. I was told by another lawn mower repair service that the deck on my mower couldn't be repaired and needed to be replaced ($400-500). I thought I'd give First Look a call since they did an excellent job tuning up this mower at the beginning of the season and at a a very reasonable cost. They were able to fix the deck quickly and again for a very reasonable price.

First Look did a great job. The work was done on time and the cost was reasonable for the work completed. Also able to pick up the mover later in the evening after work, a plus.

I had a power washer and the engine would not start. I contacted First Look and described the issue. He said that he believed that is was a dirty carburetor, which I agreed with. I had already changed the spark plug, oil and gas. He setup a time to pickup the power washer and arrived at the time he gave me. He had it for almost a week until he called to say that is was finished. I understand the time it took this being the beginning of the summer, I'm sure they are very busy. He dropped it off after it was fixed and again arrived on time. The engine is now easy to start and runs great. They were very professional.

EVERYTHING WAS DONE AS PROMISED AT A VERY FAIR PRICE. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEY TO ANYONE WITH SMALL ENGINE REPAIR NEEDS.

They were very helpful in recommending what to look for in a riding lawnmower. What I expected to be nothing more than a 1 minute conversation quickly turned into a longer, far more helpful conversation. They clearly have staff that care a great deal about their customers..even their potential future customers.

I contacted First Look by telephone. I was given an estimate for having the repairs done at my house and an appointment was made. The repairman show up at the agreed time and had both engines repaired within an hour. I was charged what was quoted. I have used First Look again and was very pleased with the service. Plan on using them for any future repairs.

Called First Look and they came to our house to pick up the lawn mower the same day. They called to inform us of what they found wrong with the mower and communicated about any additional costs before the costs were incurred. Mower was returned the next day. Steve was very nice to deal with and the service was professional and prompt. Very convenient having them pick up and return the mower to our home. We will definitely use them again for lawn mower maintenance.

They came to my house on time, took my snowblower, repaired it and returned it on schedule. Excellent work, fast and reasonably-priced service.

I had run over a newspaper with my snowblower and jammed it and then the wheels would not turn. They came out immediately so I didn't have to carry the huge piece of equipment anywhere. They figured out what was causing the wheels to jam, repaired it, and found a few other things that were broken. They wrote down parts numbers for me to be able to replace the small pieces and provided me with the name of several places to acquire the pins I needed. When I followed up with them because I had a question about ordering parts, they responded immediately, gave me the info I needed, and even mailed me a new oil cap for my blower since the parts place didn't carry it. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND. I would totally use them again and highly recommend them to anyone with a small engine issue,

The riding lawnmower was repaired on the spot when they came to my home. They were able to disassemble the carburetor and find the problem area. The chipper was more complicated and they had to take it back to their shop. They returned it later and it ran like a champ. The overall price was great, especially since I did not have to transport these two large items to a shop on my own.
