+ 0 moreThis is the second time we have used ChrisWorks. He and his skilled team completely refinished our basement. He added a walk-in tiled shower, build a media room, added a granite bar, excavated a crawl space and added a wine cellar. built two storage rooms, added a bedroom, and designed and built cabinets in all areeas. Chris completely replaced all items in the bathroom and added a walk-in tile shower. He added a new vanity, toilet, lights, and mirrors Again, all work was done on time and in a top quality, highly professional manner.

Very knowledgeable, he was able to either meet our needs personally or bring in the correct subs to complete the work on time and within budget. Our basement was completed to perfection. His subs were courteous, hard working, and professional. Work place organization and cleanliness were notable - after each day's work, the spaces were swept, cleaned, and organized for the next day's work. Sequencing of subs was outstanding - no one had to wait for anyone to finish before completing a tasking. Prince William County building inspections were passed along the way and the final inspection was superb.
Description of Work: Chris designed and built out approximately 1,700 square feet of living space in our home's basement (family room, office, craft room, full bath, cedar closet, and storage closet). We had very specific needs based on HGTV viewings. Chris took our input and developed schematics, blue print drawings, cost estimates, and quotes. On approval, he operated as a general contractor, bringing in subs for framing, drywall, painting, electrical, and plumbing - Chris did all cabinetry and counter top work as well as orchestrating the subs. One family room wall is wall to wall cabinets, floor to ceiling, with a fire place and a 65" television with surround sound; the office has a window and pocket doors; the craft room has cabinets surrounding the room with laminated counter tops plus a slate entry way; the full bath has a tiled shower with built-in glass door plus a vanity; a 200 square feet cedar closet rounds out the space. We have been delighted with the project and have recommended ChrisWorks to numerous friends/associates - they too have been impressed by the quality of Chris's work.

+ 2 moreOverall, the project was a tremendous success. The only negative was the length of time it took to get the necessary permits, especially for the wine cellar excavation and buildout. The work quality was superior. The construction workers, electricians, plumbers, and carpenters were courteous, punctual, friendly, and extremely professional. The finished basement is absolutely outstanding and should be used as an advertising example of a true success story .
Description of Work: Excavated crawl space under house, added cement foundations, framed in area, added tile, and built wine cellar In addition, the following was accomplished for this project: 1. Wet bar with custom cabinets, sink, wiring for TV, special ceiling lights, and a custom granite bar top 2. Library with custom bookshelves and granite counter top 3. Bedroom with closet 4. Bathroom with custom shower, tile, vanity cabinet, and granite top 5. Media room with custom bookshelves, surround sound speaker and TV wiring. 6. Built custom closet for storage. 7. Built large storage area with custom flooring. 8. Customized work area and moved gas lines 9. Added recessed lighting, wall sockets, and new HVAC openings.
