ARKO Moving

Several items were exceeding heavy and don't know how they did it. Three items had to be disassembled before they could be moved, and they were assembled on the other end perfectly. Not a scratch, not scrape and we did the whole move in the three hours I purchased on the special coupon. Totally amazing and will spread the word about Arko and definitely use them again. Many thanks and kudos for a terrific job.

I checked out many companies but settled on Arko because they offered a flat rate for three hours of work. I hired them to move a heavy China cabinet I had purchased from another family. They wrapped it carefully protecting all pieces. They were efficient and professional. Artur responded to all my emails, answered all my questions and kept his word. They told me they'd arrive between 1-3, they arrived within the first hour. I was thinking they were too good to be true because everything seemed to go quite smoothly from my inquiry to the delivery. And you know what? It was true, no worries on my part.

Great, careful movers. Would definitely use again.

Arco moving met all my expectations.

They were late cause one of the guys had metro issues but they did call constantly to keep in touch and worked quickly to make thing happen, the move required taking some boxes to a storage unit and then some to an apt during the middle of DC summer, they maintained a good attitude throughout.

In preparation for selling our townhouse, we needed to declutter and move furniture and other items into storage. We hired ARKO and used the Angies List coupon that was offered. They arrived about an hour late, but did an excellent job wrapping furniture and carrying heavy things down multiple flights of stairs without damaging walls or flooring. The job was completed within the time constraints specified on the coupon, so we did not have to pay anything additional.

They arrived considerably late, towards the end of the original scheduled time slot. House was being emptied after staging in preparation for sale closing. They tracked leaves and dirt onto brand new carpet, and had to be reminded to put down tarp. Also made a 4 inch deep scratch on the wall with a piece of furniture, which had to be repaired and repainted prior to pre-sale walk-through. They were fast and polite, but could use additional attention to detail and greater care with objects and architecture.

It went great, surpassing all expectations! They contacted me by email and phone, first to get the addresses and find out what was needed and then later to confirm details and date. The day before the move, they called to say that they had a conflict and we agreed to have them come in the afternoon rather than the morning as scheduled. Because the other party needed 3 men, they offered to send all three to me for no extra charge. The men who came, John, Andrew, and Peter were very professional. We did a walk-through to identify which items were to be moved and then they immediately started in to work. They wrapped all furniture items to protect them from damage before packing them. Our packed materials 2/3rds filled our 10x15 storage space. The entire process from start to finish was completed in about 2 hours! We would definitely use them again.

The movers were great. They were late, but called to let me know that they would be late. Once they arrived, they were fast and efficient as they got everything moved out and into my new place. They wrapped all of the furniture well, and it arrived without any damage. They also made sure to to tape to my bed frame the pieces needed to reassemble the bed after they took it apart. I would highly recommend hiring Arko Moving for any future move.

ARKO movers were extremely polite and professional. They moved my mother's items quickly, efficiently and with care. We were extremely pleased with their service.

It was a very hot day. The three men arrived, walked through the house to identify which items were to be moved and began working. They worked very hard and quickly but were very careful to ensure our furniture was not damaged nor the house! They did an excellent job and highly recommend them. Thanks for the great experience.

Overall, the move went very well. I ended up paying less than I was prepared to and the movers were quick, efficient, and courteous. The movers finished right at the 3 hour mark and everyone walked away happy.

This is the second time I have used ARKO Moving. Very professional in the way they handled wrapping and transporting all the furniture and boxes. I HIGHLY recommend ARKO Moving. I would use them again if I ever move again (hope not). The movers were very courteous and asked where we wanted things put.

I contacted ARKO because they had a Big Deal offer for either a 2-man crew and truck for 4 hours for $300 or a 3-man crew and truck for 3 hours for $360. Work beyond those timeframes would cost $120/hour. I was on the fence, so I spoke directly with Arthur, who runs the administrative side of the business, and he convinced me that it would be more cost effective to go with the 3-man crew. To get straight to the point, I took his advice and he was right. Nick called me from the road and he and his crew met me at the storage unit within the time window that we'd agreed on. I should mention that the clock didn't start on my 3 hours until Nick and I surveyed the contents of the storage unit and he told me the plan for how everything would be loaded. I wasn't charged for the time they were on the road, from Fairfax to Rockville, in FRIDAY AFTERNOON TRAFFIC. The guys made short work of loading A LOT of stuff onto the truck and securing it. What do I mean by a lot, you ask? A large bedroom dresser, an overstuffed chair and ottoman, two heavy stereo cabinets, a large oak kitchen hutch, an oak table, a rocking chair, a treadmill, 2 canoes (yes, canoes), and approximately 50 boxes of books and clothing. They had it loaded and ready to go in just under an hour. It took about the same amount of time for them to unload once they arrived at my home. The entire process took about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Throughout the process, the moving crew never stopped. It was hot and very humid, but they worked efficiently, they were careful with our stuff, and they were unfailingly courteous and professional. They did an outstanding job and I recommend them without qualification.

This is the second time I have used ARKO Moving. This was a difficult move to move from one apartment to another--both located on the fourth floor. The movers arrived a little late but called in advance to let me know. The owner emailed me in advance to get the particulars of what was to be moved and the respective locations. The crew worked very **** ** a very hot July day. The owner, Arthur, even showed up later in the day to help. I was very pleased with how well things were wrapped and how careful they were. I purchased the move as an A/L Big Deal even though I knew there would be extra charges involved. I had no problems and this company made a very stressful project (moving) a real breeze.

We used ARKO Moving to pack us and move us. We just bought a pre construction home, so we sold our current home and moved into an apartment while the new home is being built. ARKO packed us, moved us into storage, and the apartment we are renting until the new home is built. They were hard working, friendly, professional, and experienced. There is absolutely no way we could have done it without them. I highly recommend them to anyone and will be using them again when it comes time to move out of storage and the apartment and into our new home.

The gentlemen who arrived from ARKO to finalize our move were outstanding. They completed all of the work with minimal breaks and right on schedule, which meant no additional fees other than the Angie's list deal we purchased. They took great care not to scratch walls or ding up any items we opted not to pack (such as deck furniture and accessories for our outdoor pond). I would highly recommend this company (ask for Arthur and Nicolai - they were great).

From the first time I contacted Arthur he was helpful, professional and very polite. He helped me to determine how many hours our move would take based on the number and size of the boxes we had. He was great to work with prior to the move providing confirmation and a call on the actual moving day. He arrived right on time with an excellent team, each introduced themselves to us and were so polite and professional. I have never seen a team of movers work harder! They loaded multiple boxes on the dolly at one time and carefully but so very quickly loaded them into the truck. They were so efficient and hard working I was just so impressed. They did a fantastic job and we will most likely use them again to move the items back when the basement is finished. If you want a great moving team for a great price this is the company to use!! A+++++

I had to cancel due to scheduling conflicts, but they were very accommodating to my schedule.
