Again I called and complained the told me that they can’t send anyone to pick and I have to wait for the next pickup date which is Thursday so I have to wait a week with trash bin full of trash and five trash bags sitting in my garage due to the fact I can’t and they said sorry sir. I’m on the process of going back to there competitor which I never had a problem with them

Terrible! I have been a customer since April 2015 and while there have been good days, sadly I can only count them on one hand. Here are the issues: 1. Employees smash the trash cans on the pavement after emptying into truck. 2. Employees repeatedly leave the trash can in front of the driveway. 3. Scheduled trash pick up has changed again, most recent letter from Kevin Edwards, District Manager, (undated) received 12 July 2019 states there will only be one pickup a week, now on Thursdays. And by the way we are "reducing your fee" by a whopping "10%"! Wow, I am still paying 90% for half the service. 4. With a trash pickup on Thursdays, those of us that take care of household chores on the weekend, now have all this trash on our property for nearly a week. Not to mention, corn cobs and ribs from our BBQ that cannot go in the garbage disposal -- this is truly an invitation for bugs, rodents, raccoons and certainly does nothing for the aroma in our garages. Recommendations: 1. Take a look at the systemic problems you have. The letter states labor shortages -- this would only make sense if American Disposal has refused to pay its employees a decent wage. Which, according to several former drivers who have moved on is exactly the first problem. 2. Take a look at what your paying your District Manager and other mid-level employees -- if they haven't jumped ship maybe you've been compensating them well at the expense of those on the trucks who are the face and backbone of your business. 3. Please provide a phone number on your letters. The fact that you've allowed no "human" element to your issues is disappointing and makes me wonder if you're not on the same plane as a robo-caller. My price tripled in the 3 years since they bought-out my local option (and there are no others). When I moved and cancelled mid-cycle, I received a credit invoice for $14.12. I waited for months (7) for a check, and finally called to ask what was up. I was told they don't give refunds if you cancel mid-cycle and that it was on the back of my invoice. I use e-bills and it is NOT on there. When I mentioned this, the lady responded so quickly with the EXACT date of my very first invoice and saying "it is always paper and states on the back that (you) agreed to this" that I can't help but think they are VERY used to making this argument. I only wish there were options, you can put whatever you want on the back of the very first invoice when the customer has no other option!

Description of Work: September 2017 - Price for residential subscription pick-up service ESCALATED. Mon., 9/11/17 - Both cans were emptied and left lying on their side in the street. Did not complain. Thu., 9/14/17 - Trash not picked up until after we notified the company (online) in the late afternoon. Mon., 9/18/17 - Trash not picked up again. Notified the company again (online) in the late afternoon. No response from company, and trash not picked up. Tue., 9/18/17 - Trash still not picked up. Approx. 10:30 am - Trash company called asking whether trash was picked up. We verified it still has not been picked up and has been curbside since Sun. night, 9/17/17. We were not leaving out any usually large items, and no vehicles were blocking the trash can. Customer service rep. indicated it's not convenient for them to pick up the trash until Thu., 9/21/17. Asked them to reimburse us for the missed pick up, and for the inconvenience of trash sitting out since Sun., 9/17/17. They denied our request.

SUCKED! Never got my car battery back or reimbursed for the cost to replace it.
Description of Work: Had trash removal services for years. Crew that comes by is good albeit a bit zealous. They picked up a car battery that was not next to the can nor eligible for pick up. The customer service department is beyond lousy. When I contacted them to get the battery back or get compensated, they never called back. On the 3rd call, I escalated the issue to a supervisor. She was rude, assumed I was lying and had no issue with my canceling the service, rather seemed pleased to get rid of a problem. I would not recommend American Disposal to anyone, even if the price is fair.

2 times in a month they havent picked up recycle. I pay on time, I expect services I pay for to be completed. My service day is Friday, office is closed by the time I can call them and I have to wait until Monday.

Showed up every pickup day on time, but did not return the containers to where they were once emptied, just tossed them back toward the curb. Sometimes the containers were blocking the driveway.

Following multiple missed service pickups and poor customer service, we decided to switch to West Cobb Sanitation. They are slightly more expensive, but light years better (and we get two pickups a week). The kicker was when we received an invoice months later from American Disposal for $200 for our trash cans. Mind you, they were trying to charge us for cans we had long PURCHASED from our first trash service provider... American Disposal never provided a single can to us yet wanted me to hand over cans I had already bought or pay them $200. I explained this to them, heard someone would be looking into it, and never heard back from them. Now I'm fighting a collections agency that doesn't care about the lack of validity to the debt, rather continues to harass. Do not use this shady outfit... there is a reason they are the cheapest, and they are content with stealing your money.
Description of Work: Our trash service was automatically transferred to American Disposal upon our move. Our previous group was not servicing the area. Had I known how bad American Disposal was I would never have let it happen.

They’re fine. They come twice. On one day, they pick up trash and on the other day, they pick up trash and recycling. On Wednesdays, they pick up yard waste. I get a bill quarterly. I would give them good grades. I don’t interact with the gentleman who come and take the rest of waste away. They show up on the day they were supposed to. When I talked to them on the phone, they were very helpful.

Description of Work: My normal garbage pick up day is Friday. I was missed for two consecutive Fridays. I called their local office in Kennesaw and they stated that if I placed my garbage outside and called them back, they would dispatch someone to do that. I stated I was calling from work and would sit it out that night so it would be ready for pickup the next day. They said I would have to call back the next day after it was set out! So I did. They came and picked it up. They told me they would ensure that the route personnel knew to pickup my trash every Friday. I was out of town the next Friday, so I put out my trash Thursday night Oct. 10 and no pickup occurred per schedule on Oct 11th, or 12th! I', ticked! That's no service for three out of four weeks!! Since my bill is prepaid, I will call again from work on Monday! If they skip me one more time, I will have a new garbage collection service!!!!

They sometimes forgot my recycling but were otherwise fine as trash collectors. The did not pick up the trash can when they said they would and the issue of trying to bill me to cancel is absurd.
Description of Work: I became a customer when they took over Liberty disposal. They were prompt and were fine as a trash collector but ending the contract was a problem. They tried to bill me $20 for the cancellation and have continued to bill me now for 5 months despite me writing to them twice.

We did not pick American Disposal but they purchased our route from WM . They failed to notify us that our pick up date changed when they took over and we had overflow of trash and recycling. They repeatedly said that it was my fault for not calling them when they should have simply notified me that my pick-up date changed. We were not happy with the service and terminated them. Two months later they still call at least weekly to demand payment for the next quarter. It took me three conversations with customer service (hah) to have them finally confirm we terminated months before. Worst customer service. They never returned calls as promised and were very unprofessional. American Disposal is far more interested in getting paid than earning it.

I have been very happy with American Disposal. They have been our trash hauler of choice for the past few years. They are the only waste disposal company I know of that takes ALL recyclables except styrofoam. They have provided us with a large 95 gallon container for trash and as maller 65 gallon container for recycling. We use our own 65 gallon container for yard waste. American Disposal will also pick up an additional five bags of trash per week. When I am doing home renovation projects, this is very helpful. On some occassions, I have put out more than five bags, and they still take it all. Actually, they have never not taken all of the trash I have put out (although I do go through the extra step of bagging it all). If we ever have a large item to dispose of, like a mattress, I can call American, pay an extra fee, and they'll pick it up. When I've gotten better offers from other companies, Americna Disposal has matched those offers, so I continue to stay with them.

I inherited this company thru a merger with Liberty Disposal in August of 2010. My trash container was left out in the street on several occasions and I complained each time. I was paid up thru 11/30/2011, My service was cancelled with them in mid Sept. 2011 and my last pick up was 9/27/ll. In October they picked up my trash container. In Feb. 2012 they bill me for 6 months and sent my account to their collections dept. When I called to straighten this out, the nut I talked to and obviously did not understand the king's english, had their truck deliver 2 new containers to my driveway on a Sunday. Of course, first thing on Monday I was jumping up and down to get them to get their containers out of my sight. They came and got them and the guy I talked to this time said he would credit my account when he could get it unlocked and could not figure why they were even delivered when there was a credit hold on my account. I thought it was all over again and then in Oct. 2012, I get a letter stating there was a credit on my account and they would like to refund me if I would call them. I did and was told they owed me $17.35 and would send out a check to arrive in about 6 weeks. I called 1/16/2013 to see where the check was and was told there would not be one as it was written off as a cancellation fee ( I was under 0 contract). So now, 1 year and 4 months after I quit them they are still aggravating me. I WOULD TELL ANYONE THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM CAN BECOME YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE IF YOU USE THIS COMPANY.

They have been fantastic after the initial call. I finally got a hold of a girl that works there, Katy, it took me four calls to get through and find out that they actually serviced my area. Katy got me going and lowered the price for and they've been fantastic ever since!

These guys do once a week pickups but do not pickup anything that won't fit into their trashcans. They won't pick up your old trashcans, or over-sized items. Terrible service, terrible company. If they buy your collector, switch immediately. Don't wait like I did, because they'll try to charge you a "disconnect" fee even though you never signed up for their service to begin with.

They were fairly good the first couple of years with only a few missed days. More recently, however, the collectors seemed to delight in tormenting my trash container. I watched them nearly crush the lid, rip off one of the hinges, and then leave it back on the side of the curb. On more than one occasion the man on the back of the truck would kick the container as he left. Finally, as we moved out of the house I had several pieces of drywall I left at the curb. Not a single piece was over 3x3 and there were a dozen pieces at most, many of them two foot by six inch scraps. I let the company know I needed a final pick up. Their "container retrieval team" would not come out for two weeks (which is annoying for the new tenants) and their collectors left the drywall there without touching it TWICE. I had to rent a truck and remove it myself.

Description of Work: I selected American Disposal because my other provider failed to recycle cardboard. In the 6 months I was with American Disposal the trash collection was excellent; however, at least every other week they FAILED to collect the recycling. So I had to drage it back into my garage and then take it out again the next week HOPING it would be picked up.
