These guys are GREAT! They are punctual, reliable and kind.

The owner, David Mintz, is easy to contact by email or phone. I like the flexibility of being able to choose the mowing schedule - weekly, biweekly or every 10 days. The yard is mowed on schedule and looks absolutely beautiful each time -- very even and with great edging. Bills arrive once a month and identify the dates on which service was performed. I couldn't be happier.

Springtime had me thrown for a loop with being too busy between two jobs and a renovation project. Meanwhile my yard was starting to look like a jungle, and I have to admit I had not even gotten round to finishing the fall cleanup, let alone start on springtime. I made calls to several Angie's List members. David was the first to respond, and came out later that same day while I was at work to estimate the job. He said he had 7, 10 and 14 day cut schedules - perfect for me since with my yard of weeds 7 days is too often and 14 is too long, and most services only offer weekly or bi-weekly. I took him up on an estimate for a 10 day plan. I told him I was prepared for extra charge for first time cutting and yard cleanup since things were such a mess. He called with a very reasonable $40 per cut quote, no extra charges, and said he could be out the next day to do the work. My wife took the call and said "sold!" When I arrived home from work the next day, the yard was neat, clean, edged, and even the bagged clippings, which I notice most services leave at the curb for pickup, were taken away. I am looking forward to having David take care of the yard for me this summer. Great service, great responsiveness, very reasonable price!

I've been using Yard Enhancement Services for several years. They're very reliable and they do an excellent work, I give them a high rating. They have reasonable cost and good service. They also do grass removal, grass seeding, they do other landscaping jobs and they're a good company.

The owner of the company was very quick with his response. He came over the same day of my call to do an estimate. The work was completed the same week and his crew did exactly what I asked them to do. I did not have to be home while they worked in the yard, and he billed me for his services. Overall this company was very professional and we would definitely use them again.

This company did a great job removing a very heavy cover of leaves from our yard. They provided me with an estimate and came in slightly under the original figure when all was said and done! The owner did exactly as he said he would with all aspects of this job and even adjusted their work schedule to accommodate for bad weather. I would used them again in the future.

They did a superb job, leaving a clean yard well within the three hours that the owner (David) estimated for cleaning our yard. The owner took a while to respond to one of my earlier e-maiils (the reason for the lower rating on responsiveness), but given the busy time of year for leaf removal, the response time was reasonable.

Very happy with YES. Prices for lawn care services are excellent. David is extremely responsive to any and all requests and very knowledgeable about what works best in NOVA for lawns. Will continue to stay with YES for the future.

I have a 100 yard long driveway with lots of large trees. I had raked some of the leaves I wanted removed along side the driveway. I needed a contractor with a truck capable of gathering and removing the leaves. Dave was on a job nearby stopped by to scope out the project. He gave me a verbal quote on which we agreed and said he would be there in two days. Dave showed up the morning as expected with large truck more than capable of vacuuming the leaves. The two men worked hard for about 90 minutes with leaf blower and rake to get the leaves to the vacuum doing more than I expected in terms of gathering leaves. I would definately recommend using Yard Enhancement Services.

They have been a pleasure to deal with. They are responsive. Their prices are reasonable.

Left phone message 16 March requesting contact to provide an estimate to renovate about 8K sq ft of shady rear lawn that had been overrun with moss causing severe thinning of the lawn. David returned call on Sat 17 March, stating he had been very busy this spring with new and existing customers. Discussed briefly the scope of work and David set appointment for Thursday 22 March between 5-6 PM to inspect area and take soil samples. David nor any one else with the company showed up for appointment nor called to explain failure to show. Company that fails to keep schedule is not one I would consider reliable regardless of past glowing reports, and would not consider using them in the future.

I heard about Yard Enhancement from my neighbor across the street because I really liked the way he handled the work with her. They have been coming to us for two to three years and we really have liked the work. I would say they are reliable. We heard about horrendous snow when my husband and I were out in LA and I realized I wasn't going to be able to pull into my driveway. I called them and they said "don't worry, we already took care of it."

With Spring fast approaching, my flower beds were in desperate need of maintenance and mulch. When I called Yard Enhancement Service, David was quick to get back to me and schedule an appointment. He arrived promptly and was detailed in what his company would do to fix up my yard and for what price. It was refreshing to have someone come out and not try to sell me more work, especially when I was on a budget! He was very knowledgable, friendly, and respectful. After scheduling to have the work done a few days later, the workers arrived and immediately began working on pruning the plants and raking the leaves. The mulch arrived shortly after, and within a couple of hours, the large flower beds and playset area were finished. The workers were courteous, hard-working, and cleaned up after themselves. The yard looks absolutely amazing! I am very pleased with the whole experience and will definitely use Yard Enhancement Services for any future lawn and landscaping work.

Started out with a very small job and he performed well and I kept the ball rolling ever since.

The owner was professional and everything went well. However, I thought they were a little expensive. The plants died within a year (though they didn't provided the plants - bought from a local garden center) and they weren't the best at coming up with landscape design. But, the most important part was the regrading for me and they did a good job with that.

Started getting quotes in the summer from another contractor who was having difficulty communicating. David from Yard Enhancement Servcies was accessible through email and on the phone. Gave a competitive quote. Flexible Allowed me to pick my stone. Started job early. Cleaned up all afterwards. Very satisfied.

Owner came out to perform the estimate and to check on the work on the day it was done. They were able to do the work within a week of the estimate and the crew performed the work as expected. We would use them again.

They gave me an estimate on the spot and gave me the estimate in writing, when asked for it. The crew did a great job and did exactly what I asked for. I will recommend anyone who uses their services, to get the estimate in writing. The only drawback is that, there is problem to contact them, if they are busy. I will use their services in future.

They're quick with the mowing. Whatever they spray is quite strong smelling and they don't always forewarn us when they plan to do it. Last time all our windows were open when they sprayed and it was difficult to breathe or clear the air. Otherwise, the owner came out and met with us the first time. He seemed friendly and knowledgeable. The services are pricey to me but after speaking with two other companies they actually were on the lower end. $50/mow. $75/pre-emergent treatment and fertilizer.

Called Yard Enhancement Services (YES) on 3/31 to request an estimate for lawn aeration. David Mintz provided a speedy estimate and his crew performed the work the next day. The crew was polite and professional and did an excellent job. Would definitely recommend YES for this service.

Work was done in one day while I was at work. It well well and we are pleased with the results. We intend to have them do additional work this year. Lawn maintenance is going well.

We have 3/4 acre with many mature oak trees and azalea/landscaping beds and garden plots. David and his crew are careful to remove leaves from the shrubs without damaging anything. They do a fabulous job of mulching in the spring and edging the landscape beds. They are efficient, meticulous, totally reliable, and a tremendous value.
