I have hired Steve to do various plumbing projects at several properties I own and have always been completely satisfied with the work and the price. He is a real pro who knows his trade. He is also really responsive when I have been in a jam and needed the job done on short notice. Some of the jobs he's done at my places include adding the expansion take to a water heater, replacing various valves, and replacing a toilet. Every job was completed to a very high standard at a reasonable price. I would gladly recommend him to friends and family.

Steve did a great job replacing spickets; couplings; and hard to reach cut off valves for my outdoor hose connections. Each piece of work had a challenge of either a confined space or strange connections. When doing that job, he noted that my house didn’t have a water pressure regulator. He didn’t try to sell me on it, he just noted it. I considered that and called Steve back to add one. In both cases he showed up as scheduled, did thorough jobs, cleaned up after himself, and did the work at a reasonable price. I keep using Steve because I know I can count on him to arrive as scheduled, do a competent and thorough job, charge me a reasonable price, not leave a mess behind him, and not try to sell me un-needed services. Steve is a one-person shop, so when you call him you know it will be Steve who does your work. I know I’ll get the benefit of his experience (versus getting a freshly minted rookie, which has happened when I’ve hired large firms). The only thing to be aware of is that when you call Steve, you’ll likely get his voice mail. But he’s great about returning calls, so no worries. There are many good reasons that I keep using Steve as my plumber. As long as Steve is in business, I won’t need to hire any other plumber.

Steve did a very good job and he is fairly priced for the work he does.

Very well. Steve diagnosed the problem via cell phone photos and told us what to buy as a replacement. He was very prompt in coming out to replace the faucet.

This plumber has performed work on us on several occasions. His work is always excellent and his prices are always reasonable. He even came on a Sunday at no extra charge. I would recommend him to anyone that ask.

We upgraded our "spec" toilets several years ago with American Standard (AMSTAN) with Sloan Flushmates. Over time the Flushmates broke and, eventually, were no longer repairable. Then we learned that Sloan didn't make the replacement piece altogether (although they said they did) nor did AMSTAN make a tank to accommodate the larger Sloan Flushmate replacement. So, two new toilets. Mr. Schoen confirmed our choice of toilets (ToTo), had us measure to ensure we ordered the correct ones (and suggested we order on-line, as he couldn't get a discount on them) and - although not an emergency - worked us into his schedule within a week. He was punctual, professional and a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend him for any plumbing needs you may have. It's a little anachronistic, but it's nice to have the person you speak with about the plumbing problem to be the person who shows up to perform the work. And in this case: Excellent work at that!

Return call promptly, set up a timely estimate, did the work quickly and neatly. Will definitely use his company again!

This was my second time using Steve Schoen, and I will use him again. I had an apparently long running leak from my bathtub drain. My house is slab on grade, so I found the leak by chance. Turns out it dated back to work done about 2.5 years ago by a shoddy subcontractor to the person who updated my bathrooms. My house is 50 years old, and the plumbing area around the bathrooms is a little shop of plumbing horrors. The leaky pipe was accessible only in a small pit, and only by removing some drain pipes, and reaching about six inches under the wall's framing. Based on the work Steve did for me several years ago, I turned to him for what I knew was going to be a tough job. When you use Schoen plumbing, you get Steve Schoen himself. No full size photos of him on the truck driven by an employee plumber. And to me, that's a plus. Call Schoen plumbing, and you know you are going to get a seasoned, professional plumber. This job was complex and in a very difficult working area. Steve showed up as scheduled, and worked on it all day until done. Steve did not even break for lunch. Steve walked through what he did to replace all the components of the tub's drain and drain pipe to ensure this doesn't happen again. He showed me the parts he removed, and I agreed with him that they were so cheap and shoddily installed that the lead probably dated back to the original work. With the work Steve did, I think the repair will last for my house's next 50 years. I highly recommend Steve and will use him again in the future.

Steve Schoen has now completed three separate projects for us and in each case he is pleasant, professional and reasonably priced. This stands in sharp contrast to many other plumbing experiences we have had with bigger companies that are overpriced and unreliable. Steve is a pro and is easy to deal with. Highly recommended.

Our hot water heater started to give either scalding water or tepid water depending on when the breaker switch was triggered. Mr. Schoen (Steve) was courteous, thorough and punctual in returning our calls and the same on the day of service. He had already assessed the problem over the phone after being given the make and model of the heater. An appointment was made and Steve fixed the problem in a short period of time and even gave us extra advice as to what to expect in the future. He was professional and personable and very efficient. It's refreshing when someone does exactly what they say they are going to do! This was picture perfect service and I would,and plan to, recommend Steve to anyone I know!

Steve was very prompt in getting back to us with a price for the job. He started about 2 weeks after we contracted with him. He set all the fixtures and also had some great ideas for our remodel. He was very good at answering any questions we had, as well as bringing in someone to build us a doorframe and set a new door on one of the baths. We also appreciated his honesty in telling us that spending a lot of money on a shower system for our master bath would not work because we are on a well and didn't have enough water pressure to sustain the components we wanted to install. Other contractors had told us they would install anything we wanted. The work was done in a prompt, professional manner. He always returned our calls and showed up when he said he would.

Arrived in timely manner. Laid out covers for all areas used to contain any mess. Answered my questions as he worked. Cleaned area upon completion. Mr. Schoen also took the time to go over any functions that I may have to do with the heater in the future, such as relighting the pilot. After the job was completed, Mr. Schoen took the time to give me quotes of other jobs I need to do in the house and answer any questions I had. I will definately use Mr. Schoen again. BTW: I received an estimate from F. H. FURR for $1200 and Mr. Schoen only charged $900 for the this job! (Plus $40 extra for reinstalling the humidifier line to bring up to code.)

Project is almost done. Wife is very happy with the multiple spray jets and body wash.

Stephen runs a one-man shop. He returned my call in about an hour and explained that he was in the middle of a larger job but could come by at noon that same day. He called again shortly before noon, apologetic that he was running behind and would be by an hour later. He showed at the later time; better than a "I'll be there in the morning/afternoon/Thursday" that you get from some businesses. He went straight to work, and charged a fixed price even though he had to snake out the pipes twice. The area was clean when he left, the drain works as it used to; what more could I want? Stephen is professional and personable. Schoen Plumbing is on my "call again" list.

Steve is very personable, very capable and makes a job easy from start to finish. My hot water heater was damaged during some remodeling work. Steve gave me a very reasonable price and was able to remove the old hot water heater and install the new one very quickly. He showed up exactly when he said he would be here, gave me a price up front and that is the price he charged when the job was completed. His price for installing a high quality AO Smith gas hot water heater was $400 less than the next closest price that I was quoted. Other contractors have seen Steve's work in our house and have informed us that the work was well-done. Everything works perfectly and there were no surprises, just a smooth and well-done job. I recommend Steve Schoen very highly and have hired him to do additional work since this job was completed.

This is the second project Steve Schoen has completed for me. As was true with the first project, Steve gave me a reasonable price up front and stuck to it, showed up exactly when he said he would be there, picked up the new toilet and sink at the plumbing supply company for me and performed flawless work. This is new for me -- a plumber who knows what he is doing, doesn't create new problems while working on the initial problem, doesn't double the price after work begins, provides free estimates that are accurate, shows up on time and with a great attitude every time, and always responds to calls very quickly. I have already hired Steve for additional work.
