Description of Work: Mr. Tom Pic performed services on our roof as part of the purchase agreement for our home from previous owners in June 2010. In October 2010, our roof began to leak again in the same place and location so we called him back out to inspect and fix the leak. After over a week of phone tag, he came out to inspect the roof. Then I didn't hear from him for about week even with a number a calls and e-mails. My last e-mail stated that I had found another business that agreed to do the work and not to worry about coming out. Within the next day or so I noticed a truck outside with guys on the roof. When I went to get my husband and let him know, they were gone. Of course I received a bill, in which he had no problems contact me. My roof is leaking again in the same location and his number is not working. I think it is best that we start over with someone reputable and good service. I just wanted him to do the job right.

+ -1 moreFrom one leak before he started work, the roof sprang several leaks after Pic finished, and the seals on both new skylights failed. In addition, one of the skylights broke. We make repeated calls to Pic, which in the beginning occasioned a few drop-bys and sometimes return visits to patch. In the end, he stopped coming altogether. We had to repaint and repair inside ceillings three times, and it wasn't until we called the County that Pic agreed to replace the failed skylight. That one, too, soon failed. In the end, we called Ponds, whom we should have used in the first place, to do the job over. Ponds found several errors in Pic's work, including poor seals and the use of hot seals instead of a seamless membrance. Since Ponds did the job we have had no problems. Oh, and Pic failed to get the permits he had promised to secure.
Description of Work: We selected Pic over several other slightly higher bidders to replace our flat roof, leaking from one spot, and two skylights deemed too old to reseal. We chose Pic on the basis of a recommendation from a neighbor, on whose sloped roof he had replaced shingles. Pic replaced our roof and the skylights, and then the trouble began. We are incredulous that Pic has an A rating here. He should be fined and put out of business, and that is what we hope to achieve through this posting by warning off would-be customers.

+ -1 moreHad a great experience with Pic's. We bought a house that was missing several shingles, which was an HOA violation that needed immediate attention. Called Pic's, based on a Realtor recommendation, and he came right out, took a look at the job, and gave me an estimate (at no charge). It took a couple weeks to get the materials, but the job was completed in a reasonable time frame, as we had expressed we weren't in a huge hurry...it just needed to get done. We appreciated Pic's communication and professionalism. We also felt the job was very reasonably priced. We will definitely recommend Pic's roofing and will happily use them again!
