Express Appliances Repair Inc

The clothes dryer at my renters place was running but was not producing hot air. My home warranty sent the technician from Express Appliance and the technician took one look at the dryer and concluded that the hot air vent was blocked. He charged me the deductible of $75 and suggested that I get the vent cleaned by a different company. I checked AngiesList and called the vent cleaning company who tried to clean the vent but found no blockage. Meanwhile, my renter was calling me three times a day to complain that she could not dry her clothes. I called my home warranty company and they sent the Express Appliance technician once again. The owner of the company came this time and concluded that the vent was blocked. I was charged $75 a second time as a deductible. Please note that I was working and all these things were happening during the weekdays when I was at work. I called the vent cleaning guy again and he came over again and tried to clean the vent which did not fix the problem. I found an electrician from AngiesList this time and he found the issue in less than a minute. There is knob on the dryer which is used to select hot air. The knob was broken but it showed that it was pointing to hot air. The electrician took the knob out and turned switch to hot air and dryer produced hot air again. It was very simple fix and Express Appliance could not diagnose and blamed the dryer vent. I was out $300 because of all this mess. The renter was p***** that she could not use the dryer for 8 days. Express Appliance technician and the owner are dishonest and inexperienced. I suggest to avoid this company

I submitted our issue to our home warranty company on a Saturday, and Express Appliance called that afternoon to confirm a Monday window. They arrived within the window, hence the As for punctuality and responsiveness. However, they did not fix the issue. The repairman ran a wash cycle and acknowledged the leak, but was not able to repair the leak. My wife said he was professional and disassembled the washer to investigate, but he was unable to isolate the issue. Still, he charged us the $75 dispatch fee. I plan to take this issue up with our home warranty company.
