The professionalism of the owner Dave, and his entire team was exceptional. Overall, the work was excellent. We did have an issue with the rear porch staining but Dave and his team quickly corrected the problem - a great example of the customer service focus of DGI. I was very impressed with the company and would hire them again.

The crew was professional and did an excellent job. This work was done in December and January and the crew had to work around the weather. Jim Gallant had excellent communication in letting us know which days crew would work and came out to check the work after it was completed.

Exceptional! They returned my phone call almost immediately. then Jim came by the house in the evening and surveyed what I wanted. I had the estimate two days later and it was fair and reasonable especially since I needed a lot of extra patching, sanding, priming and a lot of extra trim painting. I had been getting (what I thought) extremely high estimates from others in the past year. They were able to accommodate my busy schedule and the painting crew arrived on time and on the day that was promised. They were professional, courteous and absolute perfectionists. I highly recommend this company and will use them again.

They did an excellent job on the deck. They have done many other projects for us in the past- removed wallpaper, interior painting, and exterior painting. We have always been happy with their work.

DGI painted my exterior trim, etc. about 4 years ago, and both then and in 2015 they did an excellent job. They repaired some things left undone by an earlier contractor. DGI is very responsive at the beginning of a job and upon completion. I don't usually like to write reviews, but I believe DGI is exceptional.

David contacted me, and I have revised the grade to reflect that. While my review of the work still stands, I hope that my comments will be taken into account for the future. To be fair, the guys worked very hard and had a long day, and I definitely appreciated that, but their desire to be complete in one day made them rush through the project at the end. -------------- The workmen came early and worked all day. They weren't briefed on the scope of the project, so I had to tell them exactly what to do. They did an adequate job, some areas better than other. The kitchen coverage is a bit spotty as you can still see the underlying paint color. Trim work was average, although the rest of the walls are quite good. However, the most disappointing thing is that they did not provide adequate protection for my floor, and I now have paint in the grain of my newly refinished hardwood floors. They also got paint splattered on walls they didn't paint, requiring me me touch up these areas as they are not the same color as the splatters. I think if they were to take a little more time and care, they would achieve better results. They seemed rushed to me, especially towards the end, and the work ended up getting sloppy. I would recommend DGI with the caveat that, although they will get the job done, but quality is uneven. My experience is that you should be present during the work so that you can monitor how it's being done, and insist upon proper protection and keep them on task with the scope of work.

These folks were great. First the price, was $800 less than a quote I received from a Handyman service who said I had to move all the furniture. DGI moved all the furniture and covered with tarp. They covered the hardwood floors with plastic. Paint was exactly the color we wanted. Fixed all the nail pops and damage to walls and corners. Used paint brushes and rollers, no sprayer. These guys were excellent and knew what they were doing. I would use them again when I have the upper level and ceilings painted.

We needed to have our chimney cap painted at the last minute as a condition of selling our house. We called many painters and no one was able to do it in the short time frame we required - except DGI! They were able to have someone come by and do the small paint job the same day. Amazing service!

This was the third time we've used DGI. Very good work, very good price--if you can wait. We've used DGI three times over the years for exterior rotten wood repair and painting. We solicited bids for two of the three jobs, and both times DGI was the most responsive to our Statement of Work--the most important factor for us. The work has consistently been very good, the crew courteous and efficient, and the project manager responsive to the punch list--all for a very reasonable price. DGI's policy of no money up front and 100% payment upon satisfaction ensures a good customer experience. In our opinion, these factors combined to warrant an A grade, but there was a down side. The sole drawback turned out to be lengthy periods without communication: 15 days to get a proposal followed by 10 days to schedule a start date. The start date slipped about six weeks due to weather interfering with current jobs; while understandable, the updates were infrequent. Nevertheless, we would certainly use DGI for future jobs, probably without seeking other bids, and we would recommend them highly to others. If there's no time-sensitive need.

DGI did an amazing job. These guys are miracle workers when it comes to fixing walls and painting. They covered everything with plastic and were very neat. The workers seemed very trustworthy and the owner, David, was definitely trustworthy. They finished a day early and the final cost was less than the estimate...which was by far the lowest I received. I will use them again as I am having them do an estimate on another project.

DGI was very responsive to our request to meet us at our rental property to estimate the cost of painting our 3 story rental property. The meeting was very informative and pointed out areas where we were trying to cut corners but would not cost that much, if anything, to have performed. The written estimate was comprehensive, leaving no guess work as to what service was included in the price. We obtained 4 other estimates and DGI was the best one for the same services. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry to get the work performed and get the property rented and moved forward with another contractor before we received DGI's quotation. We will definitely call DGI when we are ready to move forward with the remodeling of our residence.

They did a great job, the workers were on time, and had all the appropriate supplies, ladders etc. They did a great job! My deck was filthy and they made it look very clean and nice, and were great about putting everything back where it was when they were finished as well. The only B rating was that I had to contact them after they did the estimate, it' like they forgot to follow up with me. Then I had to ask where to send the check after the work was done. But overall I am satisfied with the work done!

They arrived on time. Did their work and asked if it was to my satisfaction and I told them yes. It was a two day job. They were very nice. I purchased my own paint as I wanted colors I saw and had already chosen. One wall was an accent color. They repaired any cracks before the job. I intend to call them again for repairs to my deck. I am very satisfied with their work and performance.

I had the exterior done first. DGI did a great job at a very reasonable price. Given the excellent job they did on the outside I hired them for the interior. Most of the interior was done well enough. However, there were rooms and sections that were just fair. And the cost was average at best. There were several issues that stood out. 1) they got paint on a chair and on my sofa. They came and cleaned the chair but I didn't notice the sofa until after they were gone. 2) there were many, many small splatter spots on my hardwood floors. I spent a great deal of time using my fingnail to scrap up each splatter mark than vacuume up the dried paint. It seemed that the longer they spent at my home (4 days total) the slopper they got. Over all I would give them a B or B-. They did an excellent job on the exterior and an average job on the interior. They were very nice and pleasant and I believe trustworthy.

DGI had, by far, the best price of all contractors we queried. DGI showed up on time with a complete crew to finish the job in one day. Workers completely protected furnishings and carpet. Excellent quality of work. Would recommend DGI without hesitation.

David Gallant provided the bid and was very professional. The person who did the power wash a couple of days later was thorough. The neighbors were impressed at how bright the house looks. He even did the wood on our porch steps and they look like new. The washer was friendly and the quality of his work and attention to detail was outstanding.

Interior painted the upper level and main level of a 3,400 sq ft single family home. They prepped all the walls, painted the ceilings, doors, inside the closets, all trim, chair rails, crown moldings, wainscoting,and applied two coats or more on the walls. They also installed wainscoting in my dining room. They also removed a built-in bookshelf and fireplace surround. They also patched holes in the dry wall from an electrician installing recessed lights, surround sound speaker wires, and a/v cables and electrical outlet above the fireplace in my family room. Their workers were professional and arrived on time and ensured that they protected my home with drop clothes when they did the work. They also vacuumed up after themselves if anything was left behind when they removed the drop clothes. They also were very professional and flexible with the job, working around the schedule of an electrician. They also came out to do touch up work on two different occasions because of the damage of the walls from the electrician. I would highly recommend them and this is the second time I used their services.

Painted: Kitchen/Family Room, Dining Room, Living Room/Entry Way, Powder Room, Upper Stairway/Hallway, Office, Bedroom, and Master Bathroom. Prepped ceiling, walls, trim, and doors for painting. Painted ceiling, walls, trim, and doors. Painted window trim, double crown molding, chair railing, and shadow boxes. Covered all floors and furniture with drop cloths. Installed, caulked, and painted double crown molding through out the first and second level floors.

DGI had painted my house 7 years ago and had done a fine job, so I called them for a quote. Their price was very reasonable, and I told them to do the job as soon as possible. That was nearly two months ago. Initially we talked several times, and they intended to start the day before Sandy was due to hit, but they decided to defer. That seemed sensible. They haven't returned my calls since.

I had Jim (one of the owners) out for the estimate and he forgot his tool he uses for measuring, so he winged the square footage. I had his crew out for four days for our interior painting; they did our double high foyer and great room and a few other areas. The painting was done really well, however I felt we had to be home the whole time to watch the crew since paint kept getting on the furniture and carpet. I pointed out areas which needed to be redone and the places on the carpet which needed to be cleaned. I think that they would have glossed over the problem areas if I didn't point them out. After the crew finished our house, I noticed the next day that furniture had been moved ontop of a few paint spots on the carpet and that the downstairs bathroom they used had urine on the wall and floor AND paint wash out on the mirrors. I also noticed paint wash out in my upstairs half bathroom. I was not happy about this. Overall, I think the painting is quite good. I was not happy about the mess they left behind or the paint in the carpet. I would only suggest using this company if you are able to be home to watch over the progress.

They were prompt upon arrival every day and finished the work on time. Other than removing the wall paper, the task was not complex. They cleaned up every day (even if they were coming back the next day) and were very courteous. The finished product was great (no signs of wallpaper anywhere).

The experience went very well. For what they did, I think that the price was very reasonable. They did a great job and I am very content with the workmanship. They were always on time and the quality of their work was wonderful. I feel in every aspect of their job, they were very professional and I plan to use them again in the future.
