It went amazing, from first phone call to final coat. Charles was professional, engaging, and consulted me, a newbie with paint on getting the exact look I wanted. I couldn’t have asked for a better job being done. It turned out better than I imagined.

Job included prep and painting exterior brick, wood, and aluminum, windows, doors, and gutters; stripping and painting garage double door; repairs to columns; and power wash and re-sand brick patio. All done with excellent care and detail. We are very pleased with the results! Fair price and great communication

We bought a house that was entirely beige throughout.... walls, trim, doors, cabinets, EVERYTHING BEIGE. It didn’t look bad, but we wanted it to feel clean and airy and bright. We also wanted to have a more modern feel. Charles came and gave us a very thorough estimate, and also some really great advice about choosing colors and how to update the home. We hired Charles and his team to do the entire house. They painted every door, trim, wall, ceiling, and cupboard in the whole place. It transformed it so beautifully I can’t even put it into words. In addition, our movers could not be rescheduled so they did the entire job on pretty short notice and within a short time frame and left no mess- not one drop of paint where it shouldn’t have been. We couldn’t be happier!!!

I found Charles Graves Painting through my friend Dustin who had also found them on Angie's List, and he couldn't speak highly enough about them so I had them out for an estimate. Previously we had hired Williams' for our last paint job. Me and my family liked Charles' proposal and attention to detail, and their price was competitive (considerably better than Williams, and comparable to the other quotes) so we hired them on the spot. Charles' company performed the contract for us to a T, and did a really nice job doing it, but they also went above and beyond by giving us a free design consult, painting a chalkboard paint section in our kid's bedroom for free, and giving us attentive service throughout. Their crew was hard working and we felt safe and comfortable with them in our home, and Brayan the project manager was checking in daily. I like that they had 3 people who all were accountable, Charles, Brayan, and their crew leader Emilio. All of them did what we asked at the drop of a hat. The rest of their workers were mostly just quiet and doing their jobs. If there's anything they could improve on, Charles forgot to call us at the end when they were finished, but Brayan did walk through everything and made sure it was finished. He also had them correct a couple last things then he went through a sign off sheet with me to make sure I was ok with everything and asked if anything else needed attention, but I couldn't find anything. The end job was beautiful. Charles probably just trusts his guys, and I don't blame him. I recommend them to everyone! Overall, I would say their work and service was on par with Williams', at a much better price, so I think the value for Charles' is much better

Just wanted to pass on how happy we are with the job Charles and company have done on our new home. We got quotes from a few painters but Charles Graves Painting seemed the best value for money in terms of the quality we’d seen on their past jobs. We were happy with the decision and found the crew to be well organized, professional and did everything they could to meet our expectations. The final result is was amazing and better than we could’ve imagined. I also must say that the color consultation really help us giving our home a color scheme.

I found Charles on Angie's and he was very responsive since the moment I requested a quote, we are moving into a new home in the area. He came out and it was very professional, was able to answer all my questions and was honest with me on some work that I really needed done and but also what he thought was not as urgent. I really appreciated his honesty and the fact that he cared in giving us exactly what we needed. The job turned out beautiful, they finished up within 4 days, which to me was amazing, they are really hard workers and care about protecting your home. We look forward to working with them in a couple smaller project we will have in the next months!

I had Charles and his crew come to paint our 6 unit condo building, and they were all very professional! They did a really nice neat job, and were lovely to work with, and very responsive. There were some issues with a few days bad weather, and Charles was very diligent about coming back to do touch-ups after the paint had dried enough for that. They also pressure washed our concrete pathways and did a great job of that too. I would totally recommend hiring them! :) I have kept Charles business card for future projects. It is always nice to find a person who has integrity and you feel confident can do the work properly.

I called Charles and told him I was in a hurry and he was able to come out at 7:30pm the same day (I called around 3pm, tell me about leaving everything for the last minute). I had my house painted before but normally my wife handles everything and I just write the final check, we had a baby 2 months ago, this time was on me. Charles has done a lot of work for me. He painted and replaced some railings on my deck that had rotted and it looks fantastic. And they did drywall that needed repair in several places in my house and also did a great job. They were fast and efficient, did great work, and has the most reasonable pricing. We need a few more small interior projects done, and we're certainly hiring they back for a larger project. I'll load photos soon.

This is the second project we've used Charles Graves Painting. Their pricing is very competitive and their professionalism is top notch. The painting crew was early to our house, courteous at all times, and kept the work area clean. I ended up adding some more small projects and they were happy to take care of it for me. The finished product is beyond our expectations - excellent work from start to finish, my wife was thrilled to get a professional interior designer to help with the colors and that made my life lot easier. We highly recommend using Charles Graves Painting, and we've found Charles in particular to be very helpful during the estimate process, he answered all our questions and explained the process in detail, we got cheaper quotes but we didn't feel comfortable with them as we did with Charles.

The head painter, Daniel, is one runs a tight ship and is incredibly trustworthy. Finally, the price was right. No strange charges just a realistic estimate that matched the final price. I ran into Emilio, who works for Charles Graves Painting, when I was getting some paint at Sherwin-Williams so our family could do a paint project ourselves. I wasn't sure what to get (lol) and when I asked for help, the store manager was busy but Emilio gave a good suggestion on the right paint for interior trim, walls, and ceilings and helped us bring it to our car after we paid too. We thought this was really nice of him! We asked for his business card and he gave us one for Charles Graves Painting. When we realized that doing it ourselves was kind of a bad idea (it was way more work than we imagined and we had no real idea of what we were doing) I decided to give Charles Graves Painting a call, and Ana answered and set us up with an estimate. Charles came out and gave us a fair price and their work looked really good, so we signed a contract to get started. The project was painting walls ceilings and trim of the main floor and top floor of our home. They finished the job on February 18th (it took 4 days). We called them back for touch ups the next day and they came back even though we had paid already, which I appreciated, and Charles assured us that our warranty is good for 2 years and to call anytime. This is a very family friendly company and they have good rates!

My wife and I recently moved into a new home in Maryland. We did a ton of research and had multiple painters come into our home to quote the job. Charles and Ana were the third of three estimates. After five minutes with Charles and Ana, we immediately knew we would not have any other company do this job. They drove a long way to visit with my wife and I, and offered advice and services (free interior decorator advisor) that no other painter did. They took the time to listen to exactly what we wanted and clearly explained how the process worked and how meticulous their crew is. As this paint job was part of a larger remodeling effort, we had a lot of questions about the best paint to use, color, timing (carpet or paint first?), and a lot of specific instruction about how we wanted the job to be done. Other painters didn’t take the time to listen and work with us like Charles. With other contractors you will find them eager to get in, measure, and get out and will have strong opinions about the paint they want to use (because of course they’re getting a deep discount for brand loyalty) without listening to your ideas and preferences. Going with Charles and Ana was the best decision we made. So happy we listened to our gut as well as online reviews and didn’t just settle. Thank you, and we highly recommend!

I own a rental in Northern VA but live on the west coast, so I needed a reliable contractor that could manage the entire job cost effectively. Charles took care of an entire tile installation throughout the condo, including coordinating with my tenant, delivery of the materials, thorough cleanup afterwards, return unused materials, painting affected areas, etc. The contract was specific and detailed without any ambiguity, communication was constant and thorough throughout the job, the schedule was maintained, and the tenant said it was a great job. He was working seven days a week to oversee the crew and send updates, which really set me at ease.

I was referred to Charles Graves Painting from a friend at my work, and we went with them to paint a few rooms in our house. They sent out a professional team of 5, led by Omar, and got all of the work done in 1 day, including touch ups. We are covered under a 2 year warranty also, which I appreciate. Their work is so much better than other painting I’ve seen that it’s ridiculous. Call them and you won’t be disappointed. They did a beast job for my friend too
