Burke Nursery & Garden Centre

The only thing I wasn't sure about and I thought I was going to get is I thought they were going to put a layer of top soil and as far as I know they didn't.

We have never had a problem with Burke Nursery and would continue to recommend them to friends.

Wonderful. Easy to communicate with (before and post appointment) and she was willing to listen to our initial ideas on the landscaping. Unfortunately the quote for the plants and work was too much for us at the time, so we ended up buying the plants from Burke Nursery on our own (wait for a sale/ coupon!) and installed the plants ourselves.

I had to wait for several weeks before the bushes I purchased were planted. Two men from the nursery did the planting and seemed to do a good job. I didn't realize there were large roots from a prior large bush still in the ground, so glad I didn't decide to do my own planting! The amt. I was charged included the cost of the bushes and the fee for planting them. Since it's been a while (a year+), I don't remember exactly what I paid for the bushes. Also, I may have purchased the bushes two year's ago.

Hugo helped me select the right plants for my yard and for my deck. He was very knowledgeable about the plant inventory, as well as the best landscape environment for each of my selections. I plan to ask for his assistance each time I visit Burke Nursery & Garden Centre.

I found them on Angie's List. Everything was fine. They usually bring out one or two workers. They do the maintenance, and they come out once a month, depending on the month, and what they have to do, and they just come and do it. I don't have a problem with them, so I think they are fine.

Not one problem; we found what we needed - mulch and it was loaded into our car. This is our favorite local nursery. Always clean, and the help are always courteous and helpful.

They did a wonderful job! They helped us design the layout as well and it looks wonderful. They even repositioned our AC unit. I'd definitely recommend them and use them again. It's also solved our basement water problem.

Great! The back yard looks so nice now - they put in stepping stones through the ground cover so I can still get to my vegetable garden. And...my husband has less grass to mow which makes him very happy!

They're the closest garden center. They're excellent. If I buy a plant from anywhere else, it will just die. If I buy a plant from them, for some reason with the way they prepped it, it always lives. Their prices were competitive but they're probably priced higher than other discount nurseries. It's based on quality and they have better quality. I liked the quality of their product. They have excellent customer service. They have a lot to choose from. They need to post more coupons.

It went very well. Hugo arranged for delivery of the heavy planter and the tree, he showed me some other items that I would need to keep the plants properly moist, and gave me information regarding the right kind of potting soils etc for planting, which I bought from the store. He also noticed a small flaw in the planter I originally picked and suggested that I get a different one, which I did. His professionalism is outstanding. The delivery people arrived on time and positioned the planter. They were pleasant and courteous.

She was excellent! Just outstanding! They helped my husband with some yard work as well. They are a great company. And they are offering 10% off for all Angie’s List Members.

We purchased a beautiful dogwood that Burke Nursery delivered and planted. Delivery was timely, the tree was planted according to our instructions, and the tree is thriving. What more can you ask from a nursery?

Designer for the Nursery is experienced and knowledgeable and has a good sense of practical design, focusing on value for the investment. I like the way she incorporated our ideas, yet kept us from making mistakes in the details. Very happy with the ultimate design and the work performed. Ditto comments made by last consumer in 7/10 re. this company. The landscaper came, took pictures, and was going to send me a proposal, along with pictures of proposed plants. It never came, and she didn't answer two e-mails I sent asking for the proposal. I called the manager of the nursery, who didn't respond. I finally called the owner of the nursery, who never called me, either. It took a month of chasing, and what I got was a very rough sketch of what she proposed. I never got any of the pictures from her either. I had no idea of what she envisioned, so it was pretty useless. The $65 fee bought worthless aggravation. Anyway, the "report" finally came too late to consider using. Advice? The store is nice, staff is nice, but forget about them if you want to do professional landscaping. I was surprised and disappointed; my neighbors recommended the nursery, based upon the work they did for them.

He left an obvious rectangle burn section on my lawn. I believe he sprayed something on my lawn that he should not have sprayed.

I hired the designer at Burke Nursery to come up with a plan for our property. I was completely disappointed by what i got. I spent 65.00 on a plan that only included 1 kind of plant (small ground cover kind of plant) and removal of existing materials. Her estimate was 5K. The designer was also late for her apt. When she showed up with the plan, it was a very basic sketch and not measured out to scale with little detail.

They are a little on the pricey side but the plants I have bought seem very healthy.

They were reasonable in their upfront price. They did a good job. The manager was good. They took two weeks to complete it because it was big project. They were very thorough and punctual. They worked for longer hours.

They are very good. I don't have any complaints.

Friendly helpful staff. Firewood had ants. Although prices are higher than places like Home Depot, Burke Nursery has a better selection and plants have been healthy.
