About us

Paradise Landscaping is a locally owned an operated company based out of Botetourt County, Virginia. The owner, Jason Focht, graduated from Virginia Tech in 2012 with a double major in Horticulture and Turfgrass Management. Growing up, Jason could always be found outside working in the yard with family and friends. As he got older, Jason could often be found at the golf course. His passion and love for the game led him to play in tournaments several years prior to high school. Once attending high school, Jason became the top player at Fluvanna County High School and led his team as the captain of the golf team his last two years. Jason graduated from Fluvanna County High School in 2007 and his passion for turfgrass and landscaping continued. He attended Ferrum College for a year after graduation before transferring to Virginia Tech. While at Virginia Tech, Jason specialized in Turfgrass Managment and spent many summers working on high end golf courses. During the school year, you could find Jason at the Turfgrass Research Center where he conducted research, installed irrigation, maintained the grounds and serviced equipment. Jason's experience in the industry along with his strive for excellence is guaranteed to be benefit for your landscape! On Monday they tore out old steps of RR crossties. On Tuesday they set posts in concrete an ACTUALLY BUILT STRINGERS USING TREATED WOOD. On Thursday they put in the steps using two 38 in. by 8 in. boards cut for each step for a run of 11 steps, built a railing that runs the whole length of the steps and built a platform of approximately 5 feet at the top of the staircase using the same 38 in. by 8 in. boards. Every board is treated wood and every board was secured carefully with SCREWS.!

Great! Jason was a pleasure to work with. Listened to our desires and made additional suggestions and came up with a design we loved with the budget we had. Did most of the install over a weekend . Liked his his work so much have used him for additional landscaping projects. Would recommend him if you need some work done. Not the cheapest but define value for what you spend

Great job designing and installing wind break for new home. Provides excellent value for your dollar. Took advantage of existing plants during design phase. Very responsive to our questions during the process. Installed design and is maintaining until we can move into house. Highly recoomend you consider them for your next project
