John R Kehm Carpentry

John Kehm is honest, fair, punctual, and trustworthy. His work is always superior quality. We never think of calling anyone else when we need something fixed or upgraded in our home.

John was very friendly but at times inappropriate in his subject matter including sexual innuendos. Quoted us $35 an hour for just him not a team of two as we thought we were getting which we thought was high. But we were in a bind. On invoice charged $40 for the first hour of each day worked and then down to $35. This additional was not disclosed. Was very unorganized in his scheduling and at times was late or would leave to work on another job in between. He told us at hire that his work would be 'seamless'. We were building a fourth bedroom and adding a hallway. We needed it to look as though it was not added as an afterthought. Mudding and seam work was atrocious. Ceiling seems are completely visible. Had a 'helper' that worked with him but would not bring him in though the first day of work required a saw that he was clearly having difficulty handling. I paid for a construction contractor but what I got was a handyman. I believe he knows just enough about everything to muddle through but not enough to do a quality job.
