Description of Work: Below is my the complaint I submitted to the State of Virginia. May 15th, 2008, I hired M.C.H.I., Inc. to build a new screened in deck and to replace the floor boards, rails and stairs with Trex composite decking materials on an existing deck. The president of M.C.H.I., Isam Farhat, told me that if there were no weather delays, the work would be completed by mid-July. In July I received a call from the Architect who designed the deck. He told me that M.C.H.I. never paid him. The last time I spoke to the Architect was August 27th, at which time he confirmed that he still hasn t been paid. In July the work slowed with only one worker showing up approximately one day a week. Then the work stopped all together. On August 5th, Mr. Farhat called me to say that the inspector from Fairfax County had a few minor issues with the electric work. He also told me that the electrician would meet with the inspector that day and that the decks would be completed within a few days. That day, August 5th, the electrician came and removed most of his work, he told me that he wasn t paid. I have not heard from Mr. Farhat since even though I have been calling him a few times a week. Earlier, Mr. Farhat had told me that he had purchased the composite materials needed to complete the deck and that he was storing the materials at his site. I have not seen a receipt nor any proof of this. I engaged an attorney who sent Mr.Farhat a letter demanding copies of the invoices for the materials need to complete the decks. M.C.H.I did not completely follow the design plans which were approved by Fairfax County, this will increase the total cost of completing the work. Included is and estimate from Atlantic Deck. The cost to complete the work called for on the contract between myself and M.C.H.I is $25,000. This is $17,900 more than the $7,800 I would have paid M.C.H.I. if they completed the job.

Description of Work: We had our master bathroom completely remodeled.
