It went perfectly.
Description of Work: Gordon and his crew cut down five dead trees (tall but slender) very quickly, left the wood exactly where I wanted it, and threw in a bit of tree trimming unrelated to the original job.

Description of Work: Excellent service. Called before arriving, arrived a bit late (but that was because of evening rush hour traffic), stayed until dark, finished and cleaned up. Very pleased with the service and am planning on using them again for more work.

Description of Work: Trimmed major dead/dying parts of HUGE/VERY TALL oak. Also removed two dying trees (thick oak and black locust), probably 90-100 feet tall or more. I had no use for the wood. They took every scrap of it with them. Did not disturb neighbor's property. Did the job without heavy equipment (tight space) and used a climber, rope, pulleys. They were cautious, careful, experienced, well-choreographed, efficient, polite, everything. I will definitely hire them again and again.

Description of Work: Gordon's team topped 7 trees, removed 3 trees, cut and split the wood from the trees cut down (left in yard for us to stack-a bunch!), and cleaned up and hauled away everything else. It took 2 complete days. Did a very nice job and will use them again!

Description of Work: Gordon stopped by the weekend before and gave us a verbal quote to trim up / thin out two overgrown trees in our front lawn. I gave him the green light as his price was excellent. He came back that same week, trimmed up the trees as discussed, cleaned up 100% of the debris, and kept his price - plus honored the 5% discount for finding him on Angie's List. He was very professional from all aspects. We will certainly use him again! | |Thanks again, Gordon!

I think that Tim is really honest. He has a good crew and seems to work well with his crew. They are very neat and very efficient. It may sometimes take me a while to get back with him because he is busy. We have used Tim off and on for 8-9 years. We also use someone for our yard service and they have worked together in the past and know each other. It has been real good for us and we are happy with them.
Description of Work: Frazier's Tree Service set up my flower beds and did all my fall mulching and all of that stuff for me. They have done tree services but not at that particular time. They have worked at my house for several years.

They have done work with us a couple times. They came and helped us when our neighbor's tree fell down and smashed our fence. They are very friendly and nice. They clean up and do a really good job. The price was very reasonable. We live in a neighborhood with a lot of trees, so a lot of people have to have tree work done.

On Saturday, October 9, 2010, a man representing Frazier’s Complete Tree Service came to our door; he identified himself as Joe. He indicated that they were doing tree work a few houses away, and I could see their truck and workers. He indicated that they had wood chips that they distribute free wood chips around the neighborhood after a job, and asked if I wanted any. He said that the wood chips would be of excellent quality, and went on to describe that they would be only dead wood, really nice chips, with no green in them at all. I said that I would “take some.” He then spoke of bringing their truck to our back yard (via a neighbor’s driveway), and I told him that I did not want them in the back. I said that I wanted “just a little for my front beds,” and indicted the shrub beds by pointing to them. I told him they could put the wood chips in the “small grass area just to the left of the basketball hoop.” After a period of hours, my husband and I went out for the evening. Frazier’s workers came to our home after we had left, and did not knock on the door to indicate their presence (as reported by our babysitter). I had no opportunity to examine the wood chips before accepting them, and I was not there to oversee their drop-off of the chips. Frazier’s dumped their entire truck-load onto my property. The amount of wood chips left is quite large. It is covering an area of grass, a stone walkway to the backyard, liriope and hosta plants, and an ivy bed. The pile is smothering the plants, and completely prevents access to the backyard. The quality of the material left is not as described. There are some wood chips, but in addition there are throughout the entire pile: green leaves, long wood shards (up to a foot in length), complete sticks (up to three feet in length), leafy branches, pine branches. The description of high quality wood chips in no way matches the debris left in my yard. The amount of debris is far greater than what I said I would take. The area in my front beds would be covered by approximately twelve wheelbarrow-loads. I removed 20 wheelbarrow-loads from the pile, and deposited them in our wooded back yard, in an attempt to save my plants and gain a path to the back yard. I estimate that the 20 loads reduced the pile by 1/8, at most. I called Frazier’s Complete Tree Service on Sunday morning to address the situation, and left a message on the cell phone (540-229-5228) voicemail. I received a call back from Joe, who agreed that Frazier’s would remove the pile of debris from our property. I asked Joe to have the owner, Gordon Frazier, call me to confirm the date for removal. I have not heard back from Mr. Frazier. I made subsequent calls to the office number (800-539-3639) and the home number (540-937-8225), which are listed on the business card left with us. Both the office and home number calls were forwarded to the voicemail of the cell phone. I left messages for Mr. Frazier on October 11, two on October 12, and on October 17. I have not received any communication from any party at Frazier’s Tree Service since my phone conversation with Joe, and they have not come to our property to remove the debris. After one week, we had another landscape company remove the debris from our lawn at a cost of $150.
Description of Work: Delivery of small amount of free wood chips.

There was confusion about the amount of mulch that needed to be distributed to this client. There was an attempt made to go and remove the mulch but the pile of mulch was already removed. An apology letter has been sent to her with a refund for her cost of having the mulch pile removed.

He was very direct. I got estimates from one of two other service providers and my next door neighbor recommended Frazier?s. Another tree service quoted me $1,000 higher. I thought Frazier?s quote was honest and he wasn?t trying to take advantage of me. He was fast, he was professional, they cleaned up their mess, and they hauled everything away. I wouldn?t consider using anyone else.

Stopped by and asked if we had any tree work. Asked them to trim specific branches on several trees and to replace a piece of trim on the house. The crew performed all tasks properly and professionally. They cleaned up and took away all limbs and debris. We probably paid a little too much as we asked for additional work incrementally as we went along, rather than negotiating a single price for all the work at the beginning.

I was a little unhappy with this company. They left all the leaves and branches in the street and cause a large mix up. I would still use this company again because they still did a good job with the basic tree work and shrubbery.

Tree services often spot trees that "need work" then knock on the owners' doors. Usually I refuse their business but in this instance, I was interested to get this tree taken down for a reasonable price since it threatened to fall on the house or wires. This is a family business and they promised to return in a few days' time. Clearly they would have preferred me to have the wood chipped up and removed, stump ground up, etc., but agreed to take the tree down for $350 which was a good price. They were slightly late for the day of the job and brought a crew of Salvadorans, one of whom was very skilled and scaled the tree up into the limbs to methodically bring the wood down. The owner was in the neighborhood and available by cell phone. This dangerous work was completely promptly and for a very reasonable price. The crew required a little prompting to stay keep the limbs away from another tree which I wanted untouched.
Description of Work: Medium- to large-sized red maple removed from back yard. The tree was 22" diameter at the base, off-center, leaning toward wires, and had lost limbs due to rotten heart. I had Frazier's remove the tree to the ground but not move the pieces to the curb (I did that later).

After I received my callback, we scheduled an estimate appointment which, because Gordon Frazier was in my neighborhood, actually ocurred a day earlier than orginally scheduled and permitted the tree work to be done the very next day. Mr. Frazier arrived, late for our appointment, but brought his heavy equipment (a cherry picker to reach the highest limbs) and several workers to help. They were meticulous in removing the dead limbs and branches that needed trimming, as well as removing all the subsequent limbs, branches and leaves from my yard. Even though their arrival was late, they completed the work in the estimated time.
Description of Work: Pruning very large dead limbs from very old and tall oak trees on my property, in addition to pruning overhanging dead limbs from very old and tall oak trees from a neighbor's yard.
