+ -1 moreWhen the date for installation came, he called to say the door was on back-order and there would be a couple days of delay. We agreed. Then the next install date came, and he did not show up. We called for a few days in a row. After many attempts to reach him for several days, we got a call from his wife saying that he had been in an accident and she was on her way to pick him up. We have called and text both numbers we have for him numerous times. At first we left messages saying that if the door wasn't installed in one more week that we would have to hire someone else to do the job, which we eventually did. The calls either go to voice mail or there is a message that the voice mailbox is full. He has never called back or responded to repeated requests to return our deposit. He does not respond to text messages either. He has never returned our money.
Description of Work: James Simpson contracted to replace our garage door in Nov, 2013. He initially responded to our phone calls, came out to measure, gave us a written agreement and took a deposit check for $475, which he cashed. He never showed up to do the job and never returned our deposit.
