Shoop plumbing was very responsive when making the initial call. Left a message on the service number on a Sunday and was called back within 2 hours. Prices were better than Lowes. The hot water heater we needed for our home would have been a 2-3 weeks special order and installation started at $800 (due to gas heater). The two technicians that came to our home were polite and professional. They were running late the morning of the install and one of the technicians called my mobile number directly to update me. The install was done in a timely manner. We definitely recommend Shoop Plumbing and will call them again for future plumbing needs.
Description of Work: Replaced a leaking 75 gallon gas hot water heater.

Shoop's Plumbing installed 3 toilets in our house. Two installations were done well; however, during the third installation, evidence suggests that the plumber cracked the tank. After the tank was installed, the plumber showed me a place on the outside of the tank where there was a crack. I said I'd checked the tank when I first bought it and had found no cracks, but perhaps I'd missed this crack. The plumber then sprayed the area of the crack with a sealant, and we agreed that if the sealant didn't hold, I would send this tank back, get a replacement, and Shoop's would install the new tank. After the plumbers left (3 plumbers came to do the job), however, I inspected inside the tank and found that the crack was not just on the outside. The crack actually ran from the bolt up the right side of the tank. This omission of information by the plumber leads me to believe that the crack occurred when he or one of his colleagues tightened the bolt. I believe that instead of telling me that he had cracked the tank, he tried to cover it up by pointing out only the crack on the outside of the tank. When I contacted Shoop's Plumbing to ask for a replacement tank, the office responded: "We feel that we are not responsible for replacing this toilet tank. Our most qualified employee did the installation and noticed the crack before tightening the bolts. Please contact Danny with any further questions at [...] but he is suggesting that you contact the supplier and have them replace the tank. Thanks." I sent an email back to Mr. Shoop's office pointing out the lack of logic in proceeding with an installation knowing that the tank was cracked. Furthermore, I could not in good conscience send back a tank that I had originally inspected and found unblemished. I again asked that Shoop's Plumbing replace the tank. Mr. Shoop did not respond to my second email.
