Description of Work: Service Tree Care (Wilber & his team) were awesome! They arrived on time in the morning and worked all day to trim 8 large trees around our property. All of the work met and exceeded expectations. The crew was very courteous - moving things so they were not below limbs being cut - polite, and hardworking. Cleanup afterward was excellent! We would definitely use Service Tree Care again and recommend them to friends.

Description of Work: Services performed professionally and with great care. Trees removed with precision and expertise was evident; stumps were ground promptly; fence section that had to be removed for work was replaced; surrounding yard area was cleaned-up carefully and with attention to detail. Our Bradford Pear in the front yard was reduced in height and sculpted with an artistic eye. Multiple trips were required due to the May "monsoons"; owner on site for each visit; no additional fees were charged as result of having to return more than once to complete the work. Plan to use for all future jobs. Sharing contact info with all neighbors and friends. Excellent Service.

Description of Work: When I initially reached out to the Service Tree Care folks, I got a same-day response and talked with the technician. He came out later that week and looked at the tree I needed removed and gave me a written estimate. We made plans for the tree removal several weeks in the future. I rated them C for punctuality because they were several hours late and did not call. I had to call them; and only then did they advise me that one of their trucks had problems (I think it was a flat tire, but I can't recall specifically.) Then, they still didn't arrive for about one hour after the time they stated that they would be here. They indicated that there had been some traffic issues. Since this is Northern Virginia, it happens. I gave a C for professionalism because they should have called initially when they knew they were going to be late and then again when it appeared that the traffic was going to prevent them from arriving when they said they would. | |Having said that, they worked hard and finished in about two hours instead of the original estimate of five to six hours (this was a result of my having repeatedly asked my neighbors not to park in the parking lot near the tree which afforded the technicians free access to the tree and unimpeded areas in which the tree could fall). They did a wonderful job grinding the stump down and cleaning up all the debris from the work. | |I felt I got a very good rate and that they did a very good job removing the tree and the stump.

Description of Work: We have a small cherry tree in the front yard of our townhouse that I used to be able to pull out a step ladder, pull down on the branches and trim it myself. However, time marches on and both the tree and I are a little bit too old for me to continue this annual ritual. So I called Service Tree Care, Inc. to see if they could do this small job. Response to my initial call was quick. Wilber came out to see the tree in a timely manner and the job was completed early in the day on the next business day. I could not ask for better than that. Wilber and his crew did a very good job, clean up everything before leaving and my tree is now safely trimmed and ready for the spring bloom. I would recommend Service Tree Care, Inc to my friends.

Description of Work: Two large pine trees completely removed from property, stumps cut flush with ground. Two large oak trees felled, bucked and stacked, stumps cut flush with ground. One large poplar tree felled and bucked, stumps completely ground. One large beech tree felled and bucked, stump completely ground. Two existing stumps completely ground.

Description of Work: They took down two trees and ground the stumps and cleared the debris.

Wilbur the owner of the company was friendly and professional, it was like meeting an old friend. He even gave us some instructional advice on trimming trees. I was going to get three estimates on removing a half diseased cherry tree in our front yard, but after meeting with Wilbur I didn't get the other two estimates. He was honest and upfront about the cost of the removal. There were no hidden fees and Wilbur would not take the payment until they were completely done and we were satisfied with the work. Description of Work: Removed several very large trees over the last several years. Ground all the limbs on site and hauled everything away. He has cut several trees down that were within a couple of feet of my home, hot tub, fence and never had and any damage from cutting down any of these trees.

Description of Work: Called them out to take down a large oak tree that had suffered some storm damage. Wanted the wood cut into 16" lengths to be split for firewood later, and the branches to be mulched.

He gave an estimate on cleaning up damage from the early July storm, detailing exactly what work would be done, making recommendations on which trees needed to come down and which trees would recover from the damage. He ended up cleaning up a huge tree that came down, plus several very large limbs, and taking down three more trees, cleaning all of them up and the debris from the storm.

Description of Work: Wilbur is the owner; he came out gave a very competitive price, did exactly what he said, his men work hard, and left no mess behind. They cut down a very large Oak tree on the side of the house, and they ground down, two stumps, and got the whole job done in one day. Excellent job! I would not hesitate to refer Wilbur and his team to anyone.
