The work was very professional and it looks great. Will definitely use them again. Just be aware it can be pricey, but if one wants quality work, then they do a great job.

They did an excellent job and they did it in a day. They were pretty quick to get to it. They guarantee their plants as long as they planted them. He can give you a visual simulation of the work that he's going to do. He comes and takes pictures of your house and then he takes them back to his job and then he decides on what plants based on what you tell him and everything. He makes a visual photograph of your house with the plants that he's planning on putting so that you can see it. He's very reasonable in pricing. I actually called him again to do another project.

Once again, James was terrific - in and out the same day, dooing a lovely job. Replaced the dead pencil hollies with a different kind of shrub that would be more adaptable to that particular area. He also filled in areas of crushed rock in the landscape that had settled over a couple of years and was showing landscape lining. The price was much better than I had expected and James and Southern Landscape are at the top of my list for any future work.

James was amazing! My front yard was a true mess - terrible, tall weeds and overgrown shrubbery impeding the sidewalks with no plan whatsoever. James responded right away when I called him, returning my call within a couple of hours, and after discussing my needs (and wishes!) in three days had a hard-copy color landscaping plan in my hands custom created for my situation. He tweaked the plan a little for me, adding some extra work and changing a couple of plants he'd put into the plan, and told me when he'd begin work, in just a couple of days. He was due to start work on a day that was cold and had a steady rain falling. I honestly didn't expect to see him, but there he was in his boots and rain poncho working away at clearing the weeds and uprooting the overgrown shrubbery. Over the course of several days, he worked quickly and cleanly, always clearing the mess when he'd completed work for the day. The plants and shrubs and tree that he obtained were excellent quality and larger than I'd expected. After he finished, he even pressure-washed the sidewalk to clear away the mud and small debris. And since I'd had rock put over landscaping fabric, he'd had to use a small Bobcat to move the stone. He had to remove a portion of fence to get the equipment into the yard, but replaced it exactly. And since the Bobcat's wheels left a few ruts in the grass, he put down a layer of enriched dirt and grass seed to fill them in - for free! I can't emphasize enough how wonderful my experience with James and Southern Outdoors was. I can highly recommend him without reservation!
