Mark Kistner Appliance Repair

Made an appointment for him to come out and repair the ice maker. The ice maker on this 2013 Whirlpool has broken 3-4 times. It had previously been under warranty from mfr. They never repaired it adequately. It would work sporadically, then break down again. This time I called Mark Kistner Small Appliance Repair & he came out at the scheduled time and made the repair. He listened for the ice maker's cycle to function. When it did, he left. Over the next 48 hours the ice maker did not make any ice (surprise). I called Mark Kistner back & he came the next business day to re-evaluate the problem. Upon inspection, he found a manufacturing flaw in the back of the refrigerator - a groove that the ice bar was getting stuck in. When the bar became stuck, it would no longer make ice and the ice maker would burn out. He customized the ice-tray bar so that is would not hit the groove. There was no additional charge for his 2nd visit and the ice maker now works better than it has since the unit was brand new. Mark is very personable, listens to the issues, and guarantees his parts replacement for 1 year. Considering the awful experience I'd had with the warranty repairman, it was great to find a repairman who knew what he was doing. I will use him again in the future and I would recommend him to a friend. Kistner had been recommended to me by Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning (who I have also given excellent reviews to), and I was not in the least bit disappointed with his performance.
