They were very professional, very good at what they did. It seem like that every work they did has a crew assigned for the service.

Pro: The house has a new roof. Cons: 1) Business owner expected to be paid two hours before job was finished and was impatient with my desire to pay when job was complete. 2) Ridge vent ends at least one foot from either end of roof. I was not consulted. Looks strange--different from other houses I've had roofed, where ridge vent spanned the whole ridge. 3) Crew knocked down furnace chimney as I requested then business owner directed them to construct 6-foot gas vent atop house that looked like nuclear cooling tower. Objected to my request to lower it, but finally did. This was the last task completed and crew did not securely attach the cap to top of the vent. I asked how many of these gas vents they had installed, and they said this was the first one.

Called on 31 May to schedule an appointment to obtain a proposal for replacing a 50-51 square roof. The first time, there was no answer. I then called back to insure I had called the correct number. I had, but the person had been away from the desk. I left my information and was told I would receive a call back either later that day or the next 1 Jun. As of 8 Jun I have not heard from them. Three other companies have been here and provided proposals all within $500 of each other. Based on other reviews, this may be a one off situation. However, it is a sad commentary on the business.

I called for an estimate on a new roof. Was told someone would be out the following day to look at the roof. We set the time up so I could leave work at lunch and be back in time for work. On the way to the house I called the office to verify they would be on time. The lady that answered told me she doesnt know the schedule, the person who was coming to do the estimate or how to get ahold of them. I waited from 12:05 to 12:45. Nobody showed up or even bothered to call me to tell me they were on the way or going to be late. If the Secretary doesnt know her job how are the people doing the roof suppose to know theirs. This company has made me hate contractors even more out in this area. People are unreliable. I would never recommend this company.

Leonard Roofing,LLC is THE ONLY "GAF Master Elite" Certified Roofing Contractor within at Least 80 mile radius of my home, in Gray, TN. They also are Certified Installers of many other brands of Shingles. Certified from the Shingle Companies, require Training and extra costs for the Roofing Contractors to assure the Highest Standards, and to receive a Truly Register-able Warranty, that is worth more than a piece of paper. If you cannot get your warranty registered with the Shingle manufacturer, Your so-called Warranty, Means Nothing. I could Not Be More Pleased than doing business with this Company! You Will Never Regret Choosing this company over ALL the others, for your Roof. Mr. Dennis Leonard, did my Roofing estimate. I had already had nearly every ( A rated Roofing Contractor on Angie's List) within a 40 mile radius, Give me estimates, in the last Year Prior to hiring Leonard Roofing, LLC. I did extensive research online about Replacing an Old Roof. I was Shocked how many people in the Tri-Cities Area, write Glowing "A "(reviews on Angie's List) for the Cheapest, Roofing Contractors, who install a SubPar, even Poor Product. The Roof is the Most Important Structure of One's Home. Evidently This area, gives the Best Reviews to the Lowest Cost/done in One Day Contractors, instead of Choosing QUALITY, or doing any checking on the Product being put on their Roofs. I had lower estimates, from A Rated Contractors, with the Highest Reviews, who were installing a POOR Product. Horribly Rated and Reviewed Cheap Shingles, 15 lb Felt Underlayment, and No quality warranty. (that can be actually Registered with the Shingle Manufacturer). Some questions that are Important. "How Many Nails per shingle?" "Which Shingle Installed?" "Which Underlayment?" "Does your estimate include 'DRIP EDGE'?...If you think you Don't need "Drip Edge", just Google it, and look at the National Association Of Roofing Contractors STANDARDS, and WHY they have these standards. If you are doing a "flip house" and don't care if your roof passes a Home Inspection, Hire One of the Other (HIGHLY RATED, GLOWING Angie's List Reviews) that do the cheapest work, and you will wind up replacing your Roof again, or repairing leaks in No time at all. I Did my Homework BEFORE Hiring. I educated myself about Quality, also Calling GAF (shingle company direct) and asked many Questions, including about Their 50 Year Warranty. The GAF Timberline Shingles are the Highest Rated in all of the U.S.. Yes, Better than Owens-Corning. Call the Shingle Manufacturers and Check the Requirements of Getting their Warranties REGISTERED. A Piece of paper is No Good, if Your Warranty Cannot Be REGISTERED with the Shingle Manufacturer!! If you are not getting 6 nails per shingle, your shingles will not withstand high winds, period. If you get a terrible quality shingle, you are really asking for problems and costly Repairs later. Want it Done RIGHT, THE FIRST TIME??? Leonard Roofing! I had Highly Rated Contractors, from Here on Angie's List, trying to sell me 15 lb felt underlayment, and No Drip Edge, with the Premium GAF Shingles. If you get a high wind, bad storm, the Drip Edge is what Protects the Wood underneath the shingles from Rotting, and the Underlayment is of Great Importance!! The Superior synthetic underlayments made now, will actually seal your Roof from Leaks for up to 6 Months, if a Shingle Fails, or blows off, cracks, etc...Who in their Right Mind would want 15 lb Felt under Premium Shingles? No One, who wants Quality, or a Long Life of a Roof System, with No COSTLY Leaks. Your Roofing Installers make All The Difference in the World, as to the Quality of your Roof, it is not all about just the Shingle..My previous roof did Not have Drip Edge installed, and the shingles cracked and rotted over the gutters. But more important, I had a great deal of Wood Rotted out underneath the Shingles and Felt underlayment, All Along All 4 Edges of my Home. Leonard Roofing, tore off all the old shingles, nails, felt and bad wood, and replaced with New Wood before the new Roofing System was Installed, by these Quality Professionals. Only a "GAF CERTIFIED" or "GAF MASTER ELITE" Roofing Contractor Can Give You the 50 Year REGISTERED Warranty. No Other Roofer can give you that Warranty, only Ten Years warranty, on the Same Premium Shingle, if Not Installed by a GAF Trained Roofing Contractor. If you don't believe me, Call GAF yourself. I had Many, Many, estimates who Misrepresented this to me, and they will to You too, to get your Business. They will Lie Right to you, as they tell you of their 50 year warranty, that is only Really 10 years, through the shingle Company, IF registered with them at all by the "roofing Contractor" you hire. GAF is the Largest manufacturer of Shingles in North America, and has been in business since the 1800's . The "GAF Certified" is the least GAF Training Certification to qualify for their 50 Year Warranty. The "GAF MASTER ELITE Roofing Contractors" have had much more extensive training from the shingle manufacturer themselves. Yes, the Roofing Contractors have to PAY MORE THEMSELVES For this Training. So, of course their labor may not be as Cheap as a few of the Lesser Trained Roofing Contractors or 'fly-by-night' people out there Conning You, and Lying to you about the Inferior Product and Inferior Installation, and INFERIOR WARRANTY you Will Receive from the Shingle Co. If You Hire Them... Again, LEONARD ROOFING IS THE ONLY "GAF MASTER ELITE" Roofing Contractor within at least an 80 Mile Radius of the Tri-Cities. And boy, does it Show in their Work, Professionalism, Installation, and Final Product!!!! I can only suggest, in addition to offering Inferior products, they are also Using the Least Trained, Cheapest Labor they can Find...If you Don't Care about the QUALITY of Your Roof, go with one of those cheap guys.. You Will Be Sorry, just give it a few years... If you Care about the Quality of Your Roof, and all its components, and the Quality & Training of your Installers, Including your Warranty being truly Worth Anything, I Highly Recommend You Hire Leonard Roofing, LLC. You Won't be Disappointed. Dennis Leonard is a very Honest, Professional, Trustworthy, and Honorable man to do business with. I never got to meet his brother, but this is a First Rate Quality Company, you can Truly Trust. By The Way, The New ROOF IS GORGEOUS, As Well!!

Dennis was very professional and responded in a timely manner to any of my concerns or questions. He also offered/provided a better roof than the one I thought I wanted, and when he ran into a snag trying to get a product I requested he was great at keeping me posted regarding the delay. I would highly recommend him!

With my eyes closed, I will recommend them. They were on time. They did great work. For me, it?s an ?A++? company. They knew I was purchasing the cottage and I told them that the roof needed some fixing as soon as I signed the papers. They ordered the stuff and they were there as soon as I signed the paper and as soon as the product got there for the roof so that was within a couple of days which was amazing. They were just amazing. It took them three days to complete the work. You get what you pay for. They might not be the cheapest but you?ll get great product. I have not one complain about that company.

Mr. Leonard was extremely understanding and patient. While not the cheapest quote we received, Leonard Roofing's price was competitive, and we are extremely pleased with the completed job. The crew did a good job of attempting to get all the nails up. The job was completed in a timely fashion.

Roofing company finished the installation and clean up on time and the work crew was easy to work with. Job well done. I will heartily recommend this company.

Once the tree was removed and insurance company gave their okay they were right on it. Cleaned up after their selves. Great Company!

Leonard Roofing had a full two page ad in the phone book. We called to get an estimate and never received a return call. Business must be good. UPDATE: If you don't return phone calls, what good does it do to contact you? I tried to contact you and you didn't return my call.

Discovered two leaks this afternoon. Unfortunately we are leaving town first thing in the am until the evening of the 12th. I called this company to schedule an appointment for the morning of the 13th to come out and look at our roof. I was told that they don't "schedule" appointments but would call me when they could come out. SERIOUSLY??? Like I'm supposed to "wait" for them and hope they have an opening??? Needless to say they aren't getting out business,

I was told that someone would be by for an estimate and no date was given.The person answering the phone said they would take my address and call me after someone went by and measured it. I waited a week then called the office to ask when someone would possibly be by and was told they had no idea and did not have any access to that information. The lady on the phone offered me a cell phone number which I declined. It should not take that much effort to get someone to give an estimate for a project. I am still waiting to see if they show for an estimate.

I called Brent at the ABC Supply Co., I told him that John from Leonard Roofing had referred me to him. I explained that I needed someone in my area that could do a really good roofing job (shingles). Brent took my number and said that he would doing some searching and would get back with me as soon as he could. Brent called back, he gave our number to a Eddie Stevens, he said he was good. Brent said that if we did not hear anything from them to give him a call back. We never did hear nothing back from Eddie Stevens. I hated to call Brent or John back, I know both had went out of their ways to help and I greatly appreciated that.

They were very good. They were in and out within a day. They did a beautiful job. The experience was excellent and I would highly recommend them.

My experience with them was good. After the hailstorm, they were very busy but they actually got two man before they estimated.

They did a really good job, actually; it stopped the leak and now it looks good. I was very satisfied with them. This was the first time I've used them and they were the first ones I called. I was very pleased with everything they did.

Owners came out several times to check on crews and progress and answered all questions

Leonard Roofing replaced our roof in the fall of 2012. They were quick to return calls while we were trying to decide if we would use them and they were helpful while we went through the process of getting payment from our home owners insurance. However, not long after our roof was put on we discovered there was a leak. The first time we contacted them and let them know we had a problem, before we had paid them, they were very quick to come out and try to fix the problem. We thought the problem had been fixed and we paid them for the roof. Later, after a heavy rain we discovered the leak had not been repaired and called to let them know. Our call was never returned. We made 2-3 more calls without a returned call until we asked to speak to a manager. That day they came out and informed us that a rubber mat had been placed on out roof by their roofers (no one had ever called us to let us know this had been done) and they would return in the next few day to make the repair. That was about a month ago and we have yet to hear from them again. We still have a rubber mat on out roof to keep our roof from leaking.

Earlier this summer I received hail damage to my roof. My insurance company advised me to contact roofers for estimates and they would send out an adjuster. I spoke with my adjuster who indicated that he would like to inspect the damage along with a roofer. I provided him with the names of the companies that I had contacted. Consequently the adjuster met 2 individuals from Leonard Roofing and proceeded to look at the job. Leonard Roofing indicated that they would provide me an estimate within several days and promptly did so. I narrowed down my potential roofing contractors to Leonard and one other company. I wanted to see the shingles that each company quoted and my wife went to Leonard's to secure samples. The employee at Leonard's seemed to care little about providing us with samples and indicated that she did not know what had been quoted (and did not bother to find out). My wife left with sample boards not knowing if they pertained to our quote. We also contacted our other contractor who delivered the sample boards to our residence and was most helpful. Consequently, we decided to go with the other company. With Leonard's samples in my car so that they could be returned today I received a call from Dennis Leonard, one of the owners, inquiring about the job. I told him that we had decided to utilize another company. At that time his demeanor became rude and hostile asking me did I know how much time and effort had gone into the estimate as well as discussing the case with my insurance adjuster. Additionally he indicated that he had "wasted time" taking pictures of the job for my adjuster (I was unaware this). In any event, he hung up. Approximately 15 minutes later he called back, briefly apologizing for his demeanor only to once again become rude and belligerent. Quite frankly I was shocked by his unprofessional and childish conduct. I can only imagine his reaction should he have gotten the job and having to deal with him if there had been a problem. He certainly confirmed our decision in choosing the other roofing company.

Completed in one day, excellent clean-up.

I just always noticed that when they did a neighbor's roof that they did a nice job. They took off all the shingles and the roof. They came out on a Sunday, which I didn't want them to. When I came home from church, they were finished with the work. They know what they're doing.

They were excellent. I would recommend them.
