EXTREME HOME IMPROVEMENT

very hard people to get in touch with...I should have took the 'gut feeling' I had when trying to call them and they either never answered or promised to call back and didn't..after 2 wks of calls and promising to come, they arrived. assessed what needed to be done. I had in mind a different 'color' of laminate flooring, I liked the oak. I was persuaded to take what they had lots of, don't know the actual color name, but it was darker than the oak I wanted. I also thought the bedrooms would look good in one color and the livingrm in another but they, once again, persuaded me to do all same color flooring. I really felt at this point that my tastes didn't matter...they were going to put down what they wanted. they did the job in a timely manner and cleaned up well. I had a big meal fro them the last day here and it was nice. I had just lost my husband several months before and it was wonderful to have activity at my home. I thought the price quoted at the start was with the trim included...it wasn't and there was an additional 400$ or more added at end. It was alittle hard for me at the time, but they got their money on the spot. Later, I noticed some of the laminate boards were cut shorter than should have been and there are small gaps where the boards should be flush. Months later I noticed the trim they had put down was peeling..it was not real wood but coated with paper thin vynl. It's been 4 yrs now and all the trim is peeling at different stages of peeling. I'm very disappointed in them. the owners, Phil and Sheri Mowdy, were nice on the phone but very hard to ever reach. My only recourse is to leave this on Angie's List to warn others about my experience with them.

At first it was difficult to connect by phone with Extreme Home Improvements. After several weeks a date was set up for measurements of my rooms. Within 2 wks the 3 helpers as well as the boss were here to install the flooring. It took 2 1/2 days. While here they worked quickly, cleaned up after themselves, and honored my 'no smoking' request, as I have asthma. Finished job was wonderful! Very polite and trustworthy men. The boss was very knowledgable and respectful of my opinions/decisions.

He was very informative,promt and to the point. He arrived on time on the day of installation, with his crew in tow. The were very considerate,polite and neat (Hardly NO clean up neccesary after job was complete). When working they were hard working diligent and precise. They finished with a job well constructed and well done. We were majorly impressed with the whole realm( workmanship, efficiency,promptness, willingness to please etc.) There were no do's or don'ts they did a wonderful job!
