PC Land Inc

I went to PC Land on a recommendation from a friend. I dropped something on my computer and needed to have it looked at. The place isn't fancy, but I was promptly attended to and given a description of possible services. For repairs and troubleshooting, they have a fixed diagnosis fee and after they identify the problem, they contact you before proceeding. I was given a realistic estimate of the time they would need (their workload was low so I got a one day turnaround instead of their standard 3-5 business days) and that estimate was met. My hard drive was physically damaged, so they replaced it and attempted to retrieve data from the busted one. Their data retrieval abilities are limited to software failures and they were unable to get any data. The staff is friendly and I did not experience any "talking down to" (which can happen when dealing with some computer experts). Overall, a good experience with a local business that I would gladly recommend.
