The contractors didn't show up till 10:30 or 11:30 most days. Never before 10am. They used wood that was not treated and painted without primer so weeks later the resin started to bleed through, looked awful. When we called them back it took weeks for him to get here. There was a crack under the window a week after they did the addition, he said it was normal and he painted over it, it kept coming back, I had to call him several times to come back. What was to take 6 weeks took 4 months to complete and it was never really completed. Then there was the paint job. the lady who paints is his Ex and she is a bit crazy. She watered down all the paint. Used wall paint for the ceiling and watered it down too so it dripped all over everything. I asked her to do it over and she was angry. I showed her how bad it looked that she used a brush to do the ceiling and she said no one would see it upstairs. I told her I see it. She got paint everywhere, I would find it in so many places because she wouldn't use a drop cloth. She said she didn't need one but the paint was so thin it dripped everywhere and we have hard wood floors! She complained about her Ex (her boss) said he got her the job but didn't charge enough money so she has to do things like water down the paint and use less expensive brand but it's ok because it's all the same. I fired her and her boss finished. Used the same cheap paint which comes off the walls when we have to clean it. I was not happy. He installed some doors for us and none of them work properly. We had to call him back to fix some of them but they still didnt work properly. We asked for a refund due to over charging for the paint, he said that was not his department we would have to deal with the painter and she was long gone by then. We discovered the owner of the company drank quite a bit and caused him to have medical issues with his knees so he had to take a lot of time off for that. We contracted them to repair a crack in our wall over the window, they simi repaired it, but it was only partly fixed, we had to call him back 3 times I think and it was still not fixed. I finally fixed it myself. It was crazy. They never cleaned up after themselves at all. We continue to find issues with their work and we just have it repaired by reputable companies that will do the job right.

We had a gentleman who came and did some work for us. We were just using him as a handyman but he told us he could do deck as well. We had a deck that we wanted to turn into a room. It took a long time for everything to get finished up. He had done little bit of work first here and there and then told us that he could do this work for us as well. With the handyman stuff, we thought he was ok, but with the building part and painting stuff he was awful. He hired other people to do a lot of the work. Some of them were ok but it was very slow. Of course, we did have bad weather. As far as the weather part, we understood. However, we would not hire him again. He forgot a lot of the stuff that he was suppose to do. The painting part, it ended up that he never put primer on the walls. My husband’s late wife was his broker and they never used primer to the paint. She was horrible and we ended up firing her. Then he finished up the painting himself. In the rooms that they built on, we had so many problems; we had to keep calling him back. The doors that he put on, they did not fit properly. We had one door in the front that he put on, we were going to call somebody else to fix it, I did not want him to come back and fix it. On the contract he was suppose to have put shutters on at the back of the house, he never put the shutters on. One thing after another he was supposed to have done and he just did not do. We had to call him back over and over and over about it. When they were painting they unhooked the invisible fence and our dogs got out and it was such a mess. I would not use his services again in the future. We have actually called him for couple of the issues and he said he is going to resolve them. We are waiting to find out a few things. He has always tried to resolve the issues but it just takes him forever to do it. There are issues with him that we would prefer to have someone else resolve because he does not resolve them well. The doors that do not fit, I do not want him to do them over unless he does not do them right. Therefore, we prefer someone else do them. We have got pictures of what the house is suppose to look like and the shutters that were never put up. He finished in March of last year and they are still not up. We are still waiting on him to come and put the shutters up. We called him again and he said he is going to come and put them up. He will eventually come and get it done but we just have to wait. As far as fixing these doors, we are going to have someone else come and take care of the problem. I don’t know whether he put them up crooked or what he did but we are finding now that it’s getting cold again. Well he finished in March and it was warm, we had the doors open. Now when we happen to close the doors and it is getting cold again, we are finding where these gaps are. We are going to have somebody else come, tell us what is wrong, and get them to fix it. He did our floors too and he did a terrible job. He put nails on our floors.
