Description of Work: We called to have him check our heating & air conditioner system since it was not heating and there was very little airflow. He had done work for us in the past and we had been pleased with it. This time he told us that he could find nothing wrong with the system and that he could not go into our crawl space to check there due to his physical condition. He did no work on the system while he was at our house. He sent us a bill in the mail for $150. My husband called him about it since no physical work had been done but he would not reduce the bill. My husband sent him a check for the full amount and told him we would not be using him in the future. He could have told us on the phone that he was not able to go under the house. We later contacted Mr. Rayfield who checked the whole system and told us that he could find no major problems other than the filters seemed to be blocking the airflow. He suggested we change from a permanent filter to the disposable kind. The filter system that came with the system was made of very fine layers of plastic and had been cleaned and reused since we had the system installed. We changed to disposable filters and it is working now. Mr. Rayfield's bill was $80 and he did check out the system and we felt his charge was very reasonable. | |Shore Mechanical representative could have told us on the phone before he came that he was unable to go under the house and the $150 dollar seemed high. Half of that would have been reasonable.

Description of Work: Our air conditioning unit was continuously running. There seemed to be a tremendous amount of condensation. The unit was housed in the attic.

Description of Work: Diagnosed missing heating parts from heating/ac pump. Ordered parts and also new thermostat to replace outdated one on propane heater.
