I called J.P. Amos 10 days ago on 28-NOV-2014 and left a message. He got right back to me within 24 hours and set up an appointment to look at the job and provide an estimate. We met the following Monday on 01-DEC-2014 at which time we agreed on the terms of a verbal contract and scheduled for work to begin on Friday 05-DEC-2014. On Thursday 04-DEC-2014, J.P. called and asked to postpone the start date to Monday 08-DEC-2014. I agreed to the postponement and I expressed gratitude and appreciation for the kind courtesy of a timely notice. As promised, his crew arrived on time at 07:00AM the morning of Monday, 08-DEC-2014. To my amazement, his crew ripped out and disposed of the entire ceiling plaster and completely replaced it in well under 8 hours. I thought this job would take *at least* 2 days to complete. But, these courteous and capable workers finished the job and left everything the way they found it. I hope to have them back in the Spring of 2015 to perform similar work in the kitchen.

Good quality work at a fair price. JP provided estimate and final bill was consistent with what we agreed. The nature of drywall work (various trips based on drying time) is always a challenge but final work was completed to meet my deadline.

I fell down a flight of steps in our home carring a head board up them. I fell onto a small landing at the bottom. My head and the head board made 2 somewhat large holes in the drywall. I called SEVERAL people looking for someone who would come and do home repairs. Needless to say there are not but a very very few in the Roanoke Valley. So after making between 6 and 8 calls looking for someone. One person or company gave me Amos' name. I gave him a call and explained my problem. He came over a couple days later to give me an estimate. I was not home when he came by. But my wife was and showed him the damage. He said his crew was working at a hospital nearby and would send one of his guys buy in a couple days to fix the damage. He said the charge would be $50.00. He said he hated to charge that much, but he had to pay for the guys time. We were thrilled with the price and agreed to have him fix the 2 holes. The gentleman came by a couple days later about midmorning. He was very nice looked at the job and said it would take him a couple hours to do the work. He taped off all surfaces that could be damaged by the work to be preformed. He went right to work. In about two hours he was done. The work was great. He was able to match the texture between the damaged places and the old wall all most perfect. He clean up very well. The experience was great. I am a DYI man myself but I'm very happy I had someone come in to fix this problem. You can not even tell there was any damage at all.
