bad VERY UNRELIABLE, TOOK MY MONEY AND DIDN'T DO THE JOB I hired Mr. Motsch to reglaze a bathtub and repair a window in a bathroom in my rental property. I hired him in February of 2016. He asked me to pay him half of the money up front so he could buy supplies, so I trusted him and did so. After about a week, he scraped the window and said he had to wait for it to dry and would come back in a couple of days. From then on, over a period of FOUR months, he kept saying he ran into problems (his wife's grandmother died, he got called in to work, and on and on) and would not show up when he said he would. He kept saying he would come on a Sunday or a Monday and re glaze the tub, and no one could take a shower for 2 days, and then he wouldn't show up or call. Then he said he was having problems, he had to buy his daughter a prom gown, his van broke down, etc. and asked me to pay him the balance, and he would get the job done, which I did. At one point, he sat in his van in my driveway from 7am until 9am and then knocked on my door and said his van was broke down. I had to give him a ride to his house. Then for over three weeks, he would not answer the phone or my texts. I told him that it was unethical to take my money and bad for his reputation. Still no reply for over two weeks, he finally responded and set another date to complete the job and didn't show up again. The renter called me on more than one occasion to say he had set up a time with her and didn't show up. I texted him and told him that I was going to have to take further measures. I was angry enough to try to file a suit against him. Finally, after a couple of months, he re glazed the tub and said he would be back when it dried. After over two more weeks of trying to reach him, he finally texted and said he was going to show up on the following Monday. No explanation and no apology for taking three months and my money. In the end, I wound up paying him $300. He left the window with holes not repaired and a glob of caulking stuck on one side. He put tape around the bathtub but he did not cover the floor and now I have to replace the tile because the glaze got all over the floor and it is sticky and no way to get it up. He also broke off tile in 3 places around the wall, which is 1970's tile and is not available anywhere. The renter said he told her he had the tile and would glue it back. I finally told him not to come back and asked him to drop the tile off at the property so I could get it glued back. About a week later, he texted me and told me the tile piece was in my mailbox. He had put one small piece in an envelope in my box and now I have to replace all the tile on the wall because there are two big places where it is missing where he knocked it off. I cannot believe a local person would treat me this way. I have finally hired someone to clean up his mess. I feel I should let others know so they don't get taken by him. RANDY'S REMODELING

He showed up for our appointment for an estimate 10 minutes early. Walked around the house with me and listened patiently to all of my "stupid" questions and answered each one, again very patiently. He never acted rushed and gave me options with each repair so that I could stay within my budget. We agreed that I would purchase the materials and he would estimate for the labor only. An appointment date was agreed on for the repairs. Since I don't have a truck he met me at our local home improvement store and loaded the supplies for me and delivered them to my house - no extra charge. He arrived on the appointment date, again 10 minutes early. He didn't mind that I stayed in the room with him while he worked. We talked about family and the 'current state of our Union'. He had worked for about an hour when he discovered that the initial installation of my devices had been completed in a way that had caused my current problems. He told me that he could put it back like it was or he could change it so that I would not have this problem again in the future. Naturally, I chose to avoid future problems. Back to the store for a few very inexpensive parts and he finished the job. Everything was done beautifully, very professional. During our conversations while he worked, I learned that he was a christian. This is very important to me when I am deciding who I let into my home. This was confirmed when he presented me with a bill for the original estimate amount. He did not charge for all the extra work he had to do to correct the faulty initial installation. I have already booked dates for additional repairs I need. His business card says "No job too small." This is wonderful for those of us who need to have repairs done in increments to accommodate a fixed income. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. I think the dollar amount for all the labor involved in completing all of the repairs I needed was more than reasonable. Call this guy - you won't regret it.
