I was satisfied with every aspect of our crawl space encapsulation process. Doug Harkey came out and provided a very detailed estimate, including a detailed sketch of my crawl space and pictures of problem areas. His estimate was reasonable and provided several options in different price ranges to accommodate us financially. I especially liked the videos he included so we would know exactly what to expect during the encapsulation. Prior to the job commencing, their electrician came out to install a new circuit for our new dehumidifier. His work was done quickly and efficiently, and the new circuit was run with no damage to our drywall. Another crew also came one morning to replace our crawl space access doors with insulated doors. All work was very timely and professional. When Jesse Marshall and his crew showed up on the week of the encapsulation, they arrived early as scheduled and stayed on the job all day each day until the job was completed. Jesse and his crew were very professional and friendly and set to work quickly removing all of our old insulation and vapor barrier and sprayed all wood surfaces with mold inhibitor. They clearly communicated what they would accomplish each day and they made steady progress until the job was completed. The new vapor barrier and rigid insulation was professionally installed and permanently fastened to my foundation wall and all seams were neatly taped. As an engineer, I crawled under the house at the end of the job, and I found nothing wrong with the installation. We got exactly what we paid for. The AprilAire dehumidifier was much quieter than I thought it would be and I'm pleased with its installation and performance. Makes about as much noise as our refrigerator. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with our decision to hire Stable Foundations. I would definitely hire them again if needed.

They came out and gave me a quote very promptly. They were polite and for informative. They came out and performed the work as expected until.... I received a call a month later from the electrician who needed to install the outlet for the dehumidifier. I had been told the job was complete and they had asked for payment in full. I was outraged to realize that the work had not been completed a month after they said it was. I reached out to the company to express my concerns and they have yet to contact me. Very disappointed.

I never heard from them. Please let me know if this is a mistake.

The crew was in and out in 3 hours. The work was relatively quiet and not disruptive to those inside the house or to the yard (other than the two holes for the piers)

Went out to look at my issue the same day I called and assured me that the concern was, at best, cosmetic and not structural. Appreciate the responsiveness and the fact that they did not try to sell us something that was not needed. Foundation contractors are the professionals and we as homeowners are relying on them for an honest inspection and analysis, as opposed to someone trying to take advantage for a quick sale. Was very pleased and would not hesitate to call again.

Mr. Thrift was very professional and seemed very competent. He explained why these were not actually foundation problems. The evaluation was free.

Rep came to our house, assessed the cracks in our walls and door jambs, and told us, openly and honeatly, that we did not have a structural threat on our hands. He highlighted a few issues that we could address, and gave us a reasonable timeline in which to confront these issues. When we decide to move forward on tackling these projects, we will certainly contact Stable Foundations. We appreciate their candor and honesty.

I did not accept their quote because I got a few other opinions on the house and apparently I have a broken footing on the back side of my house that has to be reinforced/repaired and the center of the house needs an extra support to support the beams, like placing in more pillions (jacks) to support the beams for the load of the house. I did not use them because they missed some big areas and after watching the engineer come out at and survey the area why I was there, thee seemed more through than the one I got from them. The other engineers measured my whole home to pinpoint the issues. This company was professional just not what I was looking for.

When an inquiry is made of any company by a potential client/customer, that action alone indicates the problem or concern is enough for the individual to stop whatever they intended to do, research and contact this company. Receiving no response from them to an inquiry as compared to other contacts made in the same industry; reflect directly upon the company's professional standing, responsiveness and quality of services provided. I definitely shall never contact this company again or recommend them to anyone, other than to share my bad experience. I can understand if they had some type of situation preventing them from responding, yet as a business in this competitive market, the use of an auto-responder email explaining their circumstances or phone voice mail would be the best way to handle this situation. I am sorry I received no response as they might have been the company best suited to handle my problems and concerns. Again, they might have an unknown situation preventing them from responding or following up of which I am unaware. I have no way of knowing the answer to that question and this is now a lost opportunity for both of us. This review is submitted strictly as an FYI to the other members for their consideration.

Worked well and the brick cracks closed. They give a lifetime guarantee on the work that can be transferred to a new owner when the house is sold. They were very organized and professional and cleaned up so well that it looked like nothing was done.

Cavie Thrift showed up at the appointed time and looked at our problem. He said that what was occurring was a natural condition due to how the posts supporting the center beam of the house moves slightly with the seasons. He indicated that he could have his company install two or three additional posts in the crawl space deeper in the soil, but he thought that such was not needed because the movement was so slight. Mr. Thrift concluded that nothing should be done at the present time, but if there was a noticeable increase in the separation of the countertop and backsplash, to call him. I found out later from a tile installer that grout cracks between granite and marble was to be expected because two separate materials respond different to atmospheric conditions in the house. We were most appreciative of Mr. Thrift's honest appraisal because he could have told us that an expensive repair was needed. I would not hesitate to contact his company in the future if the problem worsens.

I had been told by another company I needed major work done to my foundation that would cost me over $4,000. Stable Foundations looked at my home and told me that cracks I was seeing were normal for an older house and that there was no repair needed unless I wanted it for cosmetic reasons (to keep the cracks from reappearing). The assessor was friendly and knowledgeable and I would definitely use them in the future if I did need foundation work.

We made an appointment for them to come out and give us an estimate on December 15. They never showed up or called that day to say they would not be able to keep the appointment. They did show up on December 16 and looked at our problem and said they would get back to us with a quote. That was it. It is now February 4, 2015 and we still have not heard a word from them. I am very disappointed in this company.

Crew was on time, worked on project for two days. Foreman or supervisor was professional but friendly and cooperative. Only time will tell how good the job was. However, so far, so good. Appraiser was very knowledgeable and price was more competitive than the rival company whose infomercials are played on tv frequently, Company seems willing to "work with" their customers. Warrantee is reasonable . Hope I never have to use it. Have already shared my opinion with interested neighbors.

Our experience with Stable was mostly wonderful. They came in with the best estimates and were able to get the work done quickly. The crew did a great job of cleaning up when they were finished.

Contractor came out the day after the call, and told us that it was a purely a cosmetic issue. He said no work was required but told us that we can patch it up ourselves with a little bit of concrete. Very prompt and honest. Would use in the future if needed.

They were extremely responsive and great to work with however I do think the product was overpriced for the labor/materials.

They inadvertently knocked over my mailbox and replaced it.

We were concerned about some cracks in the drywall. The representative arrived right on time, took a look, assured us that we had nothing to worry about, and refused to charge us. Very much appreciated the service and professionalism.

Mr. Stable inspected the foundation areas of concern and assured me that I didn't need to do anything at the present time. This was quite a relief after the previous inspection. If I ever do need foundation work I will definitely call Stable Foundations.

The floors on the main level are sunken on one side of the house. I am purchasing this property in order to renovate. My main concern is that I do not want to buy a house with expensive structural repairs. So, I call "Stable Foundations" to take a look at the house to tell me the extent of the problem. Mr. Thrift from Stable Foundation arrived the next day to provide a free assessment of the problem. Mr. Thrift observed the sloping floors on the main level and when into the basement to assess the problem. He did NOT bring a flashlight so we used my cell phone as his light. I told him before he came that this was a vacant property. He pointed out one of the piers that seemed to be lower that the other 2 piers. He said that I would have to jack-up the lower pier to correct the floor sloping on the main level. He made me aware that raising the pier would cause wall cracking on the upper stairs. I said great, how much and when can you start. Mr. Thrift then said, "I do not this type of work?" Really... The reviews on Angie's list appeared to show that this is EXACTLY the work that he does. I asked him the direct question, is the house structurally sound. He said yes, just needs one pier jacked-up, besides a few cracked walls, no bid deal. I asked would he put his assessment in writing. "NO WAY, I'm not an engineer, just a guy with a lot of experience looking at foundations" My contractor has looked at the foundation and brought a flashlight. He showed me that the beam on top of the piers is cracked and needs to be replaced before you can start leveling the piers. For me, a cracked foundation beam is a structural problem. Not happy at all with my experience with this "Stable Foundations"
