When they came out originally, it was to tell me that there was $1500 of free equipment to install just for letting them put the sign in the yard as advertisement. This would cover our doors and along with the alarms, we would get a remote control for that, but what the guy didn’t bother to say was that there was also a $99 installation charge. So, I said I am not paying that and that they can take their contracts and leave. The supervisor who was here said to the sales people that they could blank the $99 for me. I then agreed. They had equipment like sensors for the doors, medical alerts, and fire alerts. The problem was they didn’t say it was only for my front door, back door and my garage door, but I had 3 backdoors. So, when they said they would have 3 sensors for the doors, I said that I have 5 doors. They kind of looked at each other and told me that it would cost me $110 per door for the sensors for more than 3 doors. I then asked them to take their contracts and leave, and that I wasn’t going to pay $110 for extra sensors as they hadn’t said that when they came through the door. They then agreed to reduce it to #30 per piece. The guy that came out and installed the alarms was great. He knew what he was doing and what he was talking about. When they were here, they wanted me to sign a paper stating that I would let them deduct their monthly fees from my checking account, and I didn’t agree to that. They said if they send me an invoice every month, they would make an extra dollar. So, they did not fully explain everything and so I told them that I refused to let them deduct money from my account and that I would pay them every month. They ended up having to call their supervisor and had me talk to him. The supervisor finally agreed that they would let me pay it myself, and I asked them to give me a name and address to where I am to send this money every month and that it would be done through my online banking and not through their system and that they are not touching my account. Then, when the installer came out, they didn’t bother to tell him any of this stuff, so he came out and he got a paper that I had to sign, giving him authorization to deduct money from my account every month and I said “No, I refuse to do that.” When he insisted, I told him to remove all that he just installed. Fortunately, I had written down the supervisor’s name, so this guy had to make a phone call which put him on schedule and we finally got it straightened out. I am just not sure if I will use their services again. I would check out other alarm companies.
