Overall, it was okay. The least part about them was the detail of the work. They got to watch and be careful that all the chemicals that are used don’t get all over other parts of the bathroom. They need to do a better job of covering up the other parts of the bathroom. They used some pretty strong chemicals to put their coating on the tiles.

Jeff was very responsive, accommodating, and punctual. He is very knowledgeable about the pieces, and gave me wonderful and useful advice on where to find replacement parts. While I could have easily bought new equipment for about the same price, it was worth it to me to reuse these two pieces; the tub is easily over 100 years old and the sink dates back to the late 50's-early 60's. I would use his services again in a heartbeat, and enthusiastically recommend him to anyone who is thinking of replacing their old cast-iron tub or sink due to color or damage. He can work miracles!

Jeff did it all and did it right. Not a small task in this day and age. Very glad to have someone tell me they can do the job and then complete it in a satisfactory manner in the time frame promised. Even the clean up was a+ Kudos Jeff, kudos

Angie's list review I wrote the following review on December 17, 2012,and tried to submit it online. I also answered a few of the questions but could not answer most of them because I did not have any work done. Your website would not accept my submission because I had not answered all the questions. "In November 2012, I called PTR Tub & Tile Restoration to reglaze a bathtub in a house in Alexandria Virginia. "Background: About eight years earlier, I had the bathtub reglazed by another company located in Maryland. Their work was unsatisfactory from the beginning because a bubble about an inch and a half in diameter appeared immediately. Although that company returned, the issue was not properly resolved. It became worse. I instructed those using the tub that no abrasives ever be used to clean it. Over the years, the painted on enamel wore off in different places on the tub, and it is now rough in these places, a situation that had not previously existed. "The owner of PTR Tub answered quickly. I felt that he was candid and forthright. He said the tub would have to be stripped at a cost of $200, and a new enamel application would cost $450. He informed me that reglazing is not permanent, that it is expected to last from 3 to 8 years. "Although I had been told by a general contractor that the cost of reglazing is usually $500 and that it usually lasts no more than five years, I felt that PTR Tub was reasonable, given the circumstances specific to my bathtub. " I have not done anything about my bathtub yet and am uncertain because I don't want to be in the position of having to spend this much money approximately every 5 years.
