Description of Work: We used JES Foundation Repair.

Description of Work: Hard sell tactics. Company did not want to solve the real problem of water seepage thru holes in the foundation into the crawl space. Just wanted to sell an $18,000+ crawl space enclosure which would only have masked the real problem. Further, the whole system to fully encapsulate the crawl space was significantly more expensive. When I decided I wanted to solve the real problem first, sales rep got combative and unprofessional. I noticed that other ratings of this Richmond office were similar to my experience.

Description of Work: Replaced some duct work underneath the house. This work was performed very professionally.

Description of Work: Sealed crawl space completely and humidifier.

Description of Work: I had the full encapsulation, insulation, new sump pumps, French stains and several smart jacks installed. It was a lot of work and money, but it made sense to make sure the foundation was solid and moisture issues addressed. I am very satisfied with the work done.

Description of Work: We signed a contract and paid JES a down payment almost two years ago to correct settling in our home's foundation. They have not completed the work or complied with the terms of the contract, and they have caused significant damage to our home. They have not returned my phone calls. Their only contact to me was to ask when we intended to pay the contract balance due to them. Their last visit to our home was just before Thanksgiving, 2014 to install "temporary" bracing under our dining room floor. They were supposed to return and remove the temporary bracing and complete the permanent change later. They have never completed the work, and have not finished what they agreed to do. Another service consultant from a different company, who performed work under our home stated that "it is a mess under your house," and asked me who did the work. I am now in the position of having to contact another company to clean up the "mess" and to resolve the home settling issue. However, I need to resolve this contract issue first.

Description of Work: Created a dry crawl space.

Description of Work: They dug piers, installed concrete and installed jacks/beam to strengthen the living room floor. Their work was done on time and exactly as they stated. Excellent job.

Description of Work: They tore out my steps leaving me no way to get upstairs and did not notify me at all about it!! It took me calling several times to get them to come back. They put in steps incorrectly with first step taller than the rest so had to come back to redo. Carpet was destroyed on them so had to replace it as well as they trashed it all without telling me. Management at JES was less then suprised and said we will look into it with me having to get back with them as they did not get back with me! Just terrible customer service, communication and attitude from the lady at the office.

Description of Work: Added 4 Jacks to center beam, sistered a floor joist, added a french drain. We're supposed to replace roof shingle shims with metal shims but we're unable. They were late and kept asking for money before the job was done. Splashed concrete on my brick and didn't tell me. Had to call them back to wash it. Overall I paid 7,ooo and their is still a dip in the kitchen and doors struggle to shut. I regret using jes.

Description of Work: Called to make sure they could assist us with the upstairs floor joists and the changes I am seeing in walls and the roof. After connecting over Angie's list, they arrived and seemed surprised that we were on a concrete slab when they arrived. We walked around outside and they wanted to know how get underneath in the crawl space. Again, its a concrete slab there isn't one. No one offered to cut up carpet to view the floors that we called about on the 2nd floor, nor did they suggest cutting into the ceiling to view the joists above. They offered to fix the sidewalk out front and asked questions about how long we planned to be in our home and what might be most important. When I told them I would like them to test for mold and showed them where, they went right pass to test the humidity eventhough the wall I pointed was visibly an issue. They had a brochure to sell me a humidifier (that is stored in the crawl space we didn't have)It was a waste of time and I feel my family lost valuable time putting my family in harms way. The young man was professional and called to his supervisor to get input. The response was more about not working with the slab. I was actually going to have the work done on the sidewalk but I mentioned that I saw snails coming in under our sink. They were going to check it out but they never told us what they saw, they left. Never quoted on the work we said was most important or the what we called about.
