First rate experience working with owner Brian Daniels and his son Jason. Brian's attention to detail was outstanding and it showed in the installation which looked amazing. The custom frameless enclosure is a highlight of my master bathroom remodel. He recommended going with a low iron glass which is almost totally clear without that slight green tint that glass sometimes has. I'm so glad I did with the white tiles. Brian made 3 trips in all, one to do rough estimate, one to make final measurements and template, and lastly to install. During installation Brian and Jason put down heavy paint cloth tarps to protect everything in the bathroom during installation. Can't say enough good things about Glen Allen Glass!

It went well. I selected this provider out of two other providers, as this provider had a very competitive quote and I liked the way he described the installation process, not to mention there was no need for a 50% deposit. The order came in within the advised time frame and it was installed the very next day. There was one detail that was left off my order, but Jason made some phone calls and resolved the issue without charging me for it, which meant I ultimately paid less than I was expecting. The only minor complaint was the bickering I heard during the installation. Other than that, it was installed without incident and I can't wait to use it!

Brian took it to his shop and was able to get the sagging frame back in shape to support the glass it contained. I was unsure if he would be able to repair it as it looked as if the glass could fall out. He did a first class job and we now have our beautiful, safe, mirror back again. Great guy too.

Only two glass companies in the area were even willing to give me a quote on this particular job, and Glen Allen Glass & Mirror did it for a reasonable price. The work was done when they said it would be and I am very satisfied with their work.

These guys are PROS! Brian came out to the house two or three times for the initial job review, and follow-up measurements. He had a written quote emailed within days of the initial visit, and that quote was -by far- the best price we were quoted. In addition, he took the time to look at two other possible jobs in the house, and to review the technical requirements of the glass install (we had never done this type of work before, so he had to -very patiently- explain all of the details of the job). They met every single appointment and job requirement on time, and performed the install professionally and in a timely fashion. In addition, he called to check in on the other aspects of the work (tile install, etc), and stayed on top of the schedule so that we could have a functional shower as soon as possible. I honestly could not say enough nice things about this company, and we will use them for all glass installs in the future. The work was done as scheduled with no delays or problems, no cost overruns, and the shower looks great. Before we decided on the style of surround Brian explained all of the possibilities and helped us to make an informed decision.

I was very impressed with Glen Allen Glass for a number of reasons. I called about ten glass providers to secure rough estimates for two glass panels and a glass door for our shower. I was very surprised at the price variation--estimates ranged from about $2,000 to over $3,500 for glass that encompassed the same dimensions. This was truly an apples-to-apples comparison. Glen Allen was one of the two lowest prices but was at the high end of professionalism and specificity. They answered all my questions, were very knowledgeable about installation details, and worked with me on timing. Jason took very careful measurements prior to ordering and answered all my questions patiently (I ask a lot of questions). When the glass arrived installation went very smoothly and we are beyond happy with the results. Jason went out of his way to answer some questions about window installation. The entire process with Glen Allen Glass could not have gone better and I would happily use them again or recommend them.

When we moved to Richmond the mover broke the glass in the front of our curio cabinet. We finally got around to getting it fixed and picked this business from Angie's list. We were quite pleased with their help. I called at first to see about getting a possible quote for the work done at our house vs. having the work done at their shop. The owner explained that they were currently at the shop and we could have the work done quicker if we brought the door to the shop. We assumed that we would have to leave the door and pick it up another day. Luckily we were wrong and the owner replaced the glass as soon as we arrived. Even though we have measured the glass previously, he measured it again and said that it would fit better if he cut the glass slightly larger than the original piece. Having never seen the process, I found it interesting to watch as he cut the glass, smoothed the edges, cleaned it and inserted it. The entire process was done quickly, and cost the amount he had estimated. We would definitely use their services again, if we ever need it.

Brian Daniels was very professional and provided great insights. The mirror fits perfectly and was installed very quickly. Glen Allen Glass also came in $300 cheaper than the estimate I received from AC Glass.

The sliding doors on one of our shower stalls was broken. I called Brian based on the reviews from Angie's List. He came out quickly and was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Brian is a very honest, trustworthy business owner who truly believes in a high level of customer service and satisfaction. I would definitely recommend him.

Went well -- Brian, the owner is extremely knowledgeable, recommended cheaper options, and was very professional. The quality of the work was superior and the no complaints on the overall work. Our contractor, who is a good family friend, thought the glass was a little pricey since it was not heavy glass, but definitely recommended Glen Allen Glass because of the knowledge base and how they were going to install the glass.

Contacted me right away to measure and quote. Came back in about a week to install them. Very reasonably priced and very nice.

Everyone we spoke with and who came to our home was very professional, courteous and respectful. They evaluated the job and offered cost-effective alternatives, as our bathroom was not equipped to handle exactly what we wanted. They had no trouble working with our assistants (the work was performed while we were away). The work was done right and done well for what we felt was a very fair price. We would use them again for our glass needs.

This is a family owned business and they were outstanding. They came out to give me an estimate on New Year's Day (who does that except for someone who wants to work and please thier customers?). I tend to be pretty anal retentive when it comes to contractors and I like to be present when the work is completed as I do many of my own home repairs. The work was done fast and well. I would use them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to others. I did get estimates for the work from other providers as well but GAGM had the best price and actually wanted my business. I found them to be professional and they even helped me with another issue involving my window frame.

After reading reviews from Angie's List, I contacted Glen Allen Glass to give me a quote for installing a custom frameless heavy glass shower door. The other providers I called all immediately set up a day and time to come out to look at my bathroom and then give me a quote. This gentlemen was insulting on the phone, suggesting that my tile guy may not have prepared the walls/studs correctly to support the heavy glass required. I spoke with my tile guy who was there at the time and he assured me that the wall studs were sufficient as he was aware of what I was going to be installing. I then took photos of the exposed wood and emailed them to this contractor, hoping that my first telephone conversation was not indicative of how our communications would continue to be. However, he was still very condescending and again never suggested coming out to look at the project to give a quote. At this point, I decided that he must not need or want my business and I certainly did not want to deal with a contractor who assumed incompetence on my part.

Brain was very professional and very knowledgeable. We had just moved into a 10 year old house and found that the shower door leaked. After inspecting it, Brian told us that the door had been installed incorrectly. He repaired the door and it now does not leak. We will be having him back to repair some windows with broken seals next.

Arrived on time and provided an accurate estimate. Ordered the door and installed it properly at the agreed-upon time. Door's worked fine ever since. I thought they were reasonable in their rates.

Brian and Jason did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, and paid meticulous attention to detail. In addition, they came over to our home to check out the job and provided a competitive quote in a timely manner. We have hired a bunch of contractors while renovating our home recently (major renovation). Glen Allen Glass & Mirror is on our A list for sure; the best in the business I'm sure.

I was referred to Glen Allen Glass by a local window company because I needed to replace an odd shaped elliptical window. This is a locally owned, father and son company that excels at customer service. I agree with the previous reviewer who was surprised that good solid companies like this still are around--Brian and Jason were professional, extremely competent and also were very nice. Their work product was excellent. I would recommend them highly.
