There was a long delay trying to arrange a time for the company to perform the service. They said they were very busy and couldn't get to us for 4 to 6 weeks. They also said we would have to submit to an interview to evaluate our gutter needs. We declined. When the technician finally was scheduled, he did a very good job. But the delay was a problem.

They were great in communication through email to set the assessment to make sure we were all on the same page for approximate time to get job completed (depending on your house and how complicated the gutters were). They emailed me the date of cleaning promptly. Cedric was the one who came the day of cleaning, he worked diligently and explained what his barriers were (I have a type of gutter guard that was completely blocked with mud and pine needles which I was aware of - not the best type of gutter guard) and how things were going. He was very professional and did a great job. My gutters are draining once again!

The guy came out and gave me a contract. He explained that through Angie’s List I got a 25% discount. He told me I’d conserve energy and I already feel the changes, compared to previous summers. I was really satisfied with them. The company is responsive, reliable and explains everything to you.

It was difficult to schedule the appointment for the thermal scan and measuring of my attic space, around my work hours. But once they came, I was pleased with the report that I had no leaks in my roof and the amount of radiant barrier insulation offered in the coupon would cover almost half of my attic. We chose to apply it to the side of my house that receives morning sun and has no shade. There was no pressure to purchase additional insulation for the rest of the attic. I knew I had problems with the insulation in my crawl space. The assessor took time to evaluate the space and provide 3 possible plans on how to fix my problem. The installer came on time on the day scheduled and did a great job! There was some "fallout" of my fiberglass insulation from the attic and he was careful to clean it up.

Fine. It took a long time though to get an appointment with them. They had lots of delays.

Jared did the initial consultation and explained the process for the cleaning with special concentration on our troubled areas. We were having some erosion in our front yard where the water was overflowing the gutters due to blockage. He said that during the cleaning pictures would be taken to show what the cause was for the blockage. He explained that the initial charge we received on Angie's List would cover the first hour and there would be an additional charge if the job took longer than anticipated. We agreed and scheduled the cleaning with the expectation of a full report of their findings complete with pictures since we would be at work during the appointment. The technician, Cedric left a voicemail after the appointment to say he cleaned our gutters and would be sending an email with details shortly. We never received his email so I contacted Jared to find out what happened. Jared's email explained that debris and old leaves were responsible for the blockage, however they did not take pictures because they were on the ladder performing the cleaning. We were disappointed that this part of the service wasn't fulfilled given that we weren't able to see the actual cleaning. We haven't had rain in a few days so time will tell if this worked.

Things went well. Cedric did the job in a timely fashion. He was very polite and professional.

I bought the package and they did not provide the service

Cedric was backed up quite a bit with work and the rain caused several delays in getting the work completed, but he did a wonderful job; was thoroughly pleasant to work with and was very professional. Would be very happy to use him again for the same work.

They were efficient - did a good job

The experience went great. Communicated well. Arrived exactly as said he would and called us ahead of time.

The contractor started by explaining what all was involved because there were misunderstandings from other customers. I agreed and he proceeded and did the evaluation of my home and we went as far as discussing insulation for my attic and the options available. It was very professional and all very informative and he answered all my questions. He did the assessment and made the changes to my home to enable me to get my refund. We are now discussing the insulating of my attic and he has supplied various insulation information that I requested. I would recommend this audit to anyone out there.

Getting in touch with this company to schedule purchased service was difficult. Email did not improve the situation until the last couple of weeks before service performed. Cedric is a very hardworking and knowledgeable employee who seems to have a very hectic work schedule. When I was given access to his direct contact information, communication improved considerably and he was responsive and appeared interested in addressing my problem. When finally on site, the crew was punctual, worked hard and appear to have addressed my gutter problem.

I don't have a lot of gutters on my house but the ones I do have needed to be cleaned and tightened badly. The crew did a thorough job, cleaned up after themselves and I am pleased with the finished product.

They were very, very good! We have a big house and we had a lot of gutter that needed repair. They only charged us $30 over the price which was way less than we expected. It took about 3 weeks for them to come out but they were so backed up because they had so many offers. But I was fine with that anyway because my wife was traveling. So there was no problem. They came out first and they inspected our property. The gentleman was very, very professional and very nice. He just was a nice guy, so I enjoyed that. He gave a certain inspection and told us that it was very difficult for him to do it by himself so he would have his manager out there with him. So they both came. Again they only charged us $30 over the price.

They originally set the appointment weeks in advance, but then cancelled that appointment. And when he finally came out, all they did was try to upsell us, and tell us that they might not even be able to do the Big Deal. I am very irritated so far.

The guy who came out was very professional. He was on time, listened to my concerns, and explained what he was doing in a clear, concise manner.

r Stone emailed a quote to do both jobs although they were listed separately on the quote. We were ready for the original work to be done and I contacted Mr Stone and left a message to let him know we wanted the original (smaller job) done now and would consider the attic insulation at a later date. No Response from Mr Stone. I called him numerous times and requested he call me regarding the work. Mr Stone never returned any of my calls. I called the office in Ashland, VA and spoke to one of his associates and asked her to have him call me regarding the work. No call from Mr Stone or any other employee of Energy Max. This conduct is unacceptable.

Excellent, courteous service, will use them this fall.

Gutters were cleaned out, Energy Max employee was very professional, offered solutions for one gutter that had poor slope and was not draining.

The service man came to give me an estimate in case there was a need for an additional fee depending on the size of the house. He came exactly as arranged, however, I had needed to leave unexpectedly. He looked it over and called to say he could come back and do the job right away. I called and he returned a few hours later as arranged that day and completed the job. He cleaned everything quickly and took care of several downspouts that had been clogged for a couple of years. He did a great job and made sure that my dogs were safe as well.

Cedric Wynn called to verify the kind of replacement parts we needed for him to purchase. He let us know when he would arrive. He staged his ladders (one facade was very high) then cleaned all the gutters, re-sealing leaking joints, replacing downspout guards where needed, which I already had, clearing downspouts, and adjusting the height of gutter holders to ensure water flowed to the downspouts. Aware of nesting birds near the house, he made a special effort not to disturb them. Instead of having to replace several hangers, he repositioned all but one, which was bent, and performed the job in well under estimate. He was very genial and knowledgeable, answering all my questions, and explaining along the way what he was doing. After finishing, and carrying up buckets of water to test the gutter drainage, he took pictures to show me that the flow was completely voiding the channels. It was a most pleasant experience, and his work was superb. Since several parts were not needed, he kept them to return to his vendor and only charged for the portion of materials he actually used. The work was well under budget at two hours. His professional and kind demeanor were welcome and his skills were notably excellent. I would gladly have him return any time.

The service provider is unresponsive and the information provided by them was inaccurate.

He and a female came an hour late, did not even come to the door. He got on the roof and cleaned out the debrie, and the female cleaned up the mess. He did not even run water through the gutters to see if they leaked. There was no inspection of the gutters, even though he said they were in good shape. They were here for 15 minutes, and it cost me $99.00. Who makes $100.00 for 15 minutes ?? It definitely was a waste of money, and I will not use Angie's List again !!!
