Description of Work: The office scheduled the service. The technician assessed the job at the first appointment and then accommodated our schedule and needs when he scheduled the actual gutter cleaning. The technician was a hard worker who did the job in a timely manner. He explained the condition of our gutters and his work completely.

Description of Work: Contacted the provider to add insulation to my attic. Took two visits to have insulation properly installed. Contractor only added minimal amount the first time and did not install baffles. Second time was a charm however I worry the baffles were not properly installed. Although I did have problems, the customer service was outstanding and the reps I talked to always were courteous and professional. Their price was a bit higher than other companies I contacted, but with the coupon I was able to get excellent service at a competitive price.

+ 0 moreI recently bought a house with almost no insulation in the attic or the side attics (knee walls). It desperately needed insulation as it was always very cold on the second floor. Simon gave me an estimate, walked me through my options, and offered opinions on what would be best for my house. He was prepared with all sorts of documents, figures, and graphs showing the energy savings for the different types of insulation. My attic turned out to be very hard to access (very small opening to crawl into) but the guys were able to do it, and they did it fairly quickly! Additionally, Simon saved me almost $350 when he told me about a state energy efficiency rebate! He even printed out the forms, filled them out, and sent them to me to sign because we were under a time crunch. Talk about going out of the way to help! Simon and Cedric are great to work with and I would recommend Energy Max to anyone needing insulation or energy savings.

+ 0 moreI thought the work was very good overall and at a great value. I own a older house so the house was long overdue for insulation. The only concerns I have are that I tried to go through their company for the credit approval process (0% interest for one year, divided into 12 payments) but that took a very long time and in the end, I was declined. In addition, the company subcontracts the actual work of the insulation installation process. In short, from the time I was given the presentation, it took about 2 months to finally complete the service. The sales representative was very helpful throughout the entire process, including filing for the tax rebate through the state. Furthermore, with the thermo-insulation test, the sales representative not only showed me where the outside air was coming into the house, but how to solve/fix those issues.
Description of Work: A sales representative knocked on my door offering to set-up an appointment for the sales presentation of the energy-efficient insulation. Company provided energy-efficient roof insulation and spray-in foam insulation for my attic. The company also provided a thermo-insulation test (thermal gun) to see where the outside air was entering the house. In addition, the representative gave me a presentation of the benefits of energy-efficient insulation in the attic as opposed to insulating other areas of the house. Also, I have a roof leak in which they investigated, but could not permanently fix because I would need to call a chimney specialist. They did offer a temporary solution to fix the leak in the roof.

They completed the work as we discussed and cleaned up well afterwards. From the start of the job to the end of the job, it was just a very pleasant and professional relationship. I’m actually going to call them back to get some more work done.

+ -1 moreOverall, the experience was pretty good. Their pricing was excellent, and the deck looks fantastic initially when it was finished, but parts of it hadn’t held up. For example, some of the wood is warped, but the overall structure is standing. I think that they used okay lumber, but they were the cheapest bid. But for the money, it was fine. It really has added a lot of value to our home and we do spend a lot of time out there. Jared was easy to work with and was professional.
Description of Work: They built a brand new deck for us, back when the company was still called Flat Five.
