+ -1 moreThe representative was very professional - on time, helpful with questions, very knowledgeable about windows, etc....I will say his consult lasted 3 hours on a Saturday.....which is a long time to discuss replacement windows on a weekend! The windows appeared to be good quality but incredible pricey - almost double what we have had someone else quote us!

+ 0 moreI had a quote completed by Champion for siding and replacing a door. The process took three hours, from 5:30pm-8:30pm. This is definitely a sales job. The quote to side my 980 squre foot house was 17,000 and replace one door. I nearly fell out of my chair. I told the rep that I have a quote from another company for 8500. He said well they are different, but if you have a proposal I can complete. He went down to 13,500. I am sure Champion does good work and they have a good reputation; however I was not comfortable with the hard sales tactics/process or their pricing. I have a few more appointments scheduled through Angie's List.
Description of Work: I only had a quote done by Champion.

+ -1 moreThey are really good. Five of the windows had blown seals and they already replaced three of them at no charge. As long as the I have these windows they will fix them at no charge. This company makes their own windows, provides the warranty, and services them.

+ -1 moreA waste of my time; I do not expect estimates to last almost 3 hours and last past 9 o'clock at night. In addition; I expect a company to give me their best price when I have my checkbook in hand; not days after the fact and not with such a high level of disparity.
Description of Work: They arrived promptly to provide an estimate; however, the estimate process took 2-3 hours. When they were done with the estimate it was 3 times as large as one that I had already received. When I questioned the estimate; they seemed more interested in focusing on how much it would cost if I financed it with them when I was just going to write a check for the whole thing. The salesman followed up and during the phone conversation the price dropped in half. Even though the "new" price was within my expectations; the fact that they wanted to charge me ~$17,000 more just a few days prior was enough to convince me that I didn't want to work with that company.

+ -1 moreI am happy with the work that they eventually performed. However, setting up the estimate and the final work was difficult. First, their company did not have me in their database as it had been entered incorrectly into their system. So I actually had to send them the permits to convice them that they had installed the sunroom. After allowing me to leave a message, I never received a call back. I had to leave several messages in order to get the estimate and also to schedule the work. They never did enter my name into their system correctly, so everytime I called, I had to convice them that mine was a Champion sunroom.What a fiasco.
Description of Work: I had a problem with a leaky sunroom that Champion had installed around 10 years ago. It was leaking at the attachements to the house as no gaskets had been installed. They installed flashing on the outside and a liberal amount of caulking on the inside.

+ -1 moreThe salesperson was super nice and attempted to find a product to meet our needs. However, due to the odd size of our windows (small picture windows), we couldn't get a very good price. Their special one-size pricing only applies to double-hungs. They're gutter & trim pricing was competitive but we wanted one company to do all of it. We did not hire them, but there are no hard feelings as they tried their best to give us the best deal they could.
Description of Work: Requested quote for new windows, gutters and trim for soffit and fascia.

Description of Work: I used the services of Champions Window Siding last year. Their services included window siding at my house. They did soffit and trim work for the windows in my house, which was made of brick. They trimmed around the windows and did soffit work.

+ -1 moreOverall, the servce and installation of the window was fine. It is attractive an d since it is dual pane the laundry area is much warmer during cold weather. The folks at Champion were very considerate when I needed to cancel part of my purchase order and handled the transaction very professionally.
Description of Work: Installation of a dual pane slider window in a basement laundry room. The first installation was mistakenly of plain glass although I had ordered obscured/ frosted glass for privacy. Champion gladly reordered and reinstalled the appropriate glass. I had initially also ordered a garden window for my kitchen. However, my garage room developed a leak which needed to be repaired, Champion was great about my cancelling the order for the garden window. I appreciated that since I was then able to go ahead and get the garage roof replaced.

+ -1 moreTheir initial visit was to provide us with a cost estimate, and explain the process. We were told we'd have to get a measurement, and then wait about 6 weeks for the actual installation. We were kept informed along the way. We were called one week before installation, and that was at the 5 week mark. The installers showed up on time, installed the window with little fuss, and did a nice job cleaning up.
Description of Work: Replaced a bedroom window. The old one was leaking, warped and basically junk.

+ -1 moreThey provided a comfortable, no-pressure sales experience, unfortunately I could not reconcile why I would pay almost twice the amount of what one of their competitors were offering. Their salesperson, Robert and District Manager, Ryan explained their sales and installation process very well. Ryan showed me around their showroom in Ashland, VA. This allowed me visualize the windows on my house very well.

+ -1 moreI got Champion at a good time. They were running a buy four windows get one free deal. I went with that package. Two of my windows were in a bathroom. Since they were very small, I was not looking at a bad price at all at the end of the day. I have an older home and they worked really well with the old construction too. That impressed me.
Description of Work: Champion removed two large windows and two small windows from my ranch house; which is pretty big. They then did the same thing free on another medium sized window for me. They then installed new windows in their places.
