Champion Windows and Home Exteriors of Richmond

The work has not been completed yet but once it has. i will provide pictures and updates on the process of there work. They do really work with people with times and more. I think that this company will be with no regrets. Fingures crossed!

Extremely well. The work was actually done in the Northern Neck and they were happy to drive the distance to do the work. We had work done locally and were not satisfied. Having done business with Champion prior to this, we asked if they would take on the job even though it was about 1.5 hours away and they did so. The entire job took about 3 days. We had planned to add a porch on another occasion and after a lot of attempts to change the plans, their engineer refused to add more weight to the roof of our house since the structure was not adequate to support it. They were more interested in providing quality work than just getting a job. We really appreciated their honesty and integrity.

They were really great! The quality of the windows really stood out. There was one little mishap, but it was my fault. I was trying to pull the window down to clean it and it got off track. I called them and they came out immediately and fixed it for no charge. I would recommend them. They are the best!

It was very good. They did a nice job. They came in and did it quickly. They cleaned up nicely afterwards. The windows work well. No issues. The best thing was how quickly and efficiently they worked. They were in and out in half a day to do 3 windows. They weren’t the cheapest, but for the quality it was worth it. They weren’t the most expensive either though. We had to give them a window of time for the installation to occur which was hard because we weren’t living in the home at the time. We had to negotiate and change our schedule to meet with them, but that wasn’t entirely their fault. They were very professional and efficient. We will be hiring them again because we have 17 more windows we want to replace.

They were great to work with and the final product looks like a work of art. They also kept things clean and are the best company I have ever worked with. They also offered a lifetime guarantee for the glass, which were up to 14 feet high for this project.

Everything was fine. They had a little trouble getting it in at first, but they managed to do it.

They were outstanding. They were upfront. They told me everything they were going to do and they did it. It was a very pleasant experience. They gave me addresses of some of their jobs and I went and looked at them, talked to the people. They were very satisfied. They gave me a special price. They came on time. They brought all the stuff I'd ask them to bring. I couldn't have ask for any better of a presentation.

We met with Matt the salesman on 4/28/2013 and he measured, then priced the job. A deposit was required that day and we were assured that the sunroom project would begin in 6-8 weeks, which would be about mid-June to July 1. We never heard anything the first week of June, so I finally called to find out if we were still on schedule. I discovered that they were behind on other projects, they had never even gotten the building permit, they had no idea when they would begin ( " a lot of rain delays on other projects" ), and had to check if our windows were in the warehouse. We went through the remainder of June waiting to be notified, but no calls came. We enter July and I am still not on the schedule--"the rain is still causing delays". The masonry/brick contracter still does not have the footer plans from Champion so he can't give me an estimate on his part of the job. I believe they have a good product, but the communication and responsiveness is for the birds---at this point, if we could get out of this contract we would as we are so disgusted with the lack of follow-through. I am not sure if they have enough crews to do the work on all the projects, but the "rain" excuse is getting old. If the rain is truly an excuse, then they are running 2 months behind, and every time it rains then it lags another week. By my calculations it will probably be Thanksgiving before they are caught up and can actually start work--not what I expected. I believe that Sales ( Matt ) needs to work more closely with Robert ( Project Manager ) so that the company is not over-extended. What good is it to sell sunrooms/windows if the crews can't perform the construction in a reasonable amount of time? We were so excited with this project and now, we are dreading every step of it--I imagine that when they do begin, it won't go smoothly either==there will be multiple delays and communication breakdowns ( I'm basing this on their track record so far ). Yuk!

If went really well -- no heavy sales pitch, responsive to our request for full screens to match our other windows, arrived on time, even during the heavy fall renovation season. My husband was home during the sale and again during the install, and he had no complaints!

They look great, did a great installation but I have had to replace around 1/2 of them. They are guaranteed but that seems like an excessive amount of failure. I suspect some quality control issues are present.

The job from start to finish went well. The person we worked with was a gem. He as since moved to a larger location. We had no issues with the install. Our picture window got a crack about a year after the work was done. We called once and they came out and looked it over and ordered a new one and installed it at no cost to us. You can get less expensive windows in the marketplace from several firms, but we just liked the windows and the person we dealt with.

Champion Window of Richmond, VA lost my business. Their sales rep most of thought I was stupid. They had previously installed 3 patio door sets for me and charged me $6,000.00 for the three sets. And he came back with $17,000.00 for 2 door sets. I almost laughed in his face. I told him I knew what they cost and he said, "Well, with costs rising and everything..." He was a very poor salesman. It just wasn't believable. He actually asked me for a letter of recommendation before he left.

They have a very good reputation and I’m very happy with them. They have a lifetime warranty on their doors and windows. I have two big sliding windows on two sides, double glass, and I’m very happy; my sunroom is gorgeous.

Originally they were somewhat outside my spending plan, but overall quality of the product and the people was more than satisfactory. The install took 2 days, but day 2 was quick. Virtually all the work was done from the outside and cleanup was pretty complete. (2) Installers were very professional, friendly and did quality work. In contrast to other installs I'd seen, as soon as one window was taken out, it was replaced immediately. A nice process for the middle of November. So far the windows seem to be doing a great job of keeping the heat in and the cold out.

Matt the sales rep is exceptional.He helped me decide on how to create the sunroom. Robert the project manager and Kris the builder were focused and detail oriented. The product itself is fabulous.

Excellent sales rep and contract supervisor. Suggested best thing to do. Installers were on time and efficient.

Outstanding. New window in house is more comfortable; no air/heat or AC leakage now.

The team arrived, on time, as i was leaving for work. my husband home that day. when i got home from work, they were gone, the windows installed blinds were back up and every bit of debris was gone. i couldn't have ask for a more complete job. we are still enjoying the outcome of the lightly tinted windows which kept out the heat and are also keeping out the cold.

They were easy to work with, very professional, and on time. The work was completed in one day and beautifully done. A thorough cleanup of the work space and very nice young men did the job.

Everthing went very well. The installation went great. They were very friendly. I was also pleased about how well they cleaned up after themselves. We have been satisfied with our windows since. They accomodated us and all our requests. We had a change in sales people in the middle of the process, so I was please with the seamless transition.

The man was on time and did a good job, and was reasonably prices. The job took around 2 1/2 days, which was a lot of time for a small job.

I purchased my door through them as well. The service was excellent, and I have no complaints at all. They showed up when they said they would and did the job they said they would. They have an amazing staff that's eager to help you! I have also purchased several windows through them.

This is the second time we have used Champion. The first time we used them was to replace 24 windows in our house. The experience went so well we decided to use them to add the sun room. After speaking with Champion employees at a local home show, we decided to call their office and schedule an appointment for a representative to come out to our home and discuss the sun room project. We also scheduled two other companies to do the same. We decided on Champion due to the sun room design, construction materials, salesman product knowledge, price and our previous positive experience with the window replacement project. There were a few issues in the very beginning due to the requested work permit and our county. However, the good people at Champion were able to work engineers and county zoning to quickly resolve those issues and begin construction. Once work began on the project, we were kept informed on its progress. We found the construction personnel to be very pleasant t work with. I was always impressed with their attention to detail and professionalism during the entire construction. We are very pleased with our new sun room and the entire Champion experience. If I had to do it again I would not hesitate to use Champion.

No problems. After installation, there was a minor leak under one of the doors, and they came right out and adjusted a flange that wasn't sitting correctly. Have not had a problem since. They are beautiful doors and worth every penny. YOu can find cheaper doors, but they will not be of this quality.
